Excellent travel solid shampoo and conditioner bars and with the bonus of a flax style bag to carry them in.
Four stars as (previously noted) it is difficult to tell the difference between the blue and the green bars – just mix and match the pairs to avoid this confusion! The shampoo is also quite soft so just be cautious of the power of the shower if it’s left in the bag between uses.
Takes some time to get used to but hair never felt so soft and looked so glossy
The so called ‘blue’ and ‘green’ ones looked identical. Both looked same shade of green. Very confusing! The red and white ones were a clear and vivid contrast of colours, but the 2 other ones should be more vivid and easy to identify, such as yellow or orange, dark or light blue, dark or light green etc. Secondly, these bars of soap took nearly 10 minutes to lather up! I’ve got just past shoulder length hair and it’s very frustrating when the soap bar takes so long to lather up! (especially the conditioner bar!). Sharing one bathroom with other people has caused lots of resentment, on both sides of the bathroom door!
Never tried hair soap. Not bad, in fact really like the conditioner bars. Seems a fairly economic option.Best bit is no plastic bottles.
I had 1 pink shampoo, 1 white conditioner and 2 green conditioners in my pack – so missing the blue shampoo – but after complaining, I was offered a full refund. The pink shampoo is very nourishing for my long, colour treated and bleached hair. The trick is to not use too much first time, or you can get “the waxies” (a waxy feel) which is completely normal when using a solid shampoo. It’s concentrated so you just need to lather in hands then apply to hair or just a few swipes only on the hair. It doesn’t lather as well as liquid shampoo. The pink shampoo smells nice (vanilla). I have been trying out several brands and products of shampoo after buying up mini samples. After many of them over past months, Saphus pink shampoo has come out on top. There isn’t a Saphus website and it sells only a few products on Amazon so it’ll be a shame if this brand no longer produces new shampoos. I will have to buy up what they’ve got with my refund. The saphus has been better than Ethique, Garnier, Wild, Kinkind, and a few other natural/spa type products. I have a feeling they might not operate any more, or perhaps they only manufacture for the Asian market. After washing my hair, it did end up quite big but I dry brushed it from roots to end once dried and it really came up a treat on Day 2 and was still clean on Day 4. It made my hair appear brighter and I think that was because I normally suffer from lank greasy looking roots or it looks darker with a lot of bottle products. With the conditioner, I just swiped it across my ends and I didn’t condition my roots. I would buy the pink vanilla one again if it’s still there. My ‘egg’ mini shampoo has been used for 3 weeks now with hardly a dent in it’s size, so I reckon one of these mini eggs will last me a few months as I only wash my hair about 3 times per week.
These are easy to use and they also help cut down on plastic bottles. The little bag that comes with can be used to store both a shampoo and a conditioner together.
