Fits no problem on t80extreme radios not needed to adjust annything. As well surprised how well holding charge up to 4 days constantly on using those for work so we talk alot.
I put the batteries on the Motorola charger overnight.I fitted both to the XTR446 Hand sets.Switched on and nothing.Tried again and then switched back to old batteries. Both Switched on .By now I suspected dud batteries.Checked voltage of new batteries and found that ok .On inspection of + and – Internal Radio contact points I slightly moved the contact “pins” to sit higher up.Fitted the batteries and they worked. So the Motorola original batteries had slightly different battery contact points.I did initially make sure the battey plastic covering of the new ones were not impeding contact.
In conclusion the batteries work,so all good.
Both batteries arrived fully charged. One slotted into the walkie talkie without any problems and worked first time. The other battery however had a small lump in the battery casing between the battery connectors, which stopped the positive connector from going deep enough into the grove to actually touch the positive terminal – even after removing some of the plastic wrap around the connector. The solution was to pry out the terminal slightly so that a connection was made. All working fine now and the red charging lights on the charger unit do light up indicating that a charge is taking place. Cannot comment on battery life at this moment as I’ve only just fitted the batteries, but I’m optimistic that all will be well.
The batteries are well made and packaged, and I have no problem recommending their use.
Bought these for my T80 radios. Initially, I thought there was something faulty, but I cleaned off the contacts both in the battery compartment and on the battery, and then they worked perfectly.
You may need to bend up the contacts in your radios a little, use a small screwdriver. I also gently sanded one of the battery terminals.
Don’t know how long they’ll last but they seem solid, and they are charging well (no need to cut out bits of polythene over the contacts like some other people have had to).
All in all, I’d recommend these. Reasonable price, especially compared with Motorola. Speedy dispatch too.
So far so good. Both working well, but not had a chance to test hem properly or over time. Delivery was quick and they look the part, so good value? ….only time will tell.
