yes the product does work but yes be aware as they say they let of a bad smell so keep away from your backdoor but i have used 3 now as they do keep out the flies would recommend
These work really well. Stops flys coming in the house.
Great product if you like to open your doors and windows in warm weather but get overrun with flies. We hung one outside our French doors and within a week the thing was about 80% full! When it was time to hang up the next one we covered the outside with coloured vinyl so it wasn’t so morbid to look at and it worked just as well. The only thing I find utterly revolting is emptying them out down the toilet – the smell is just the worst. When the second one needs emptying I’ll probably fill the toilet with air freshener first to drown out the stench.
I bought these to put in garden for when my house rabbits are out. They are always chock full of blow flies they trap a disgusting amount which is brilliant.
This works. Mine is full to the brim. Not the best of looking at things in the garden with a graveyard full of flies, but it stops you from looking like you’re waving at people all the time. Buy it to help control all them flies from getting in your house. Some still do obviously but nowhere near as much.
They fill up with flies. Noticeable reduction in the garden. Seem to reduce horse flies too. Put round perimeter of garden. A bit smelly if within a few feet but otherwise no problems.
I bought 2 traps and so far I’m very happy. I can’t say how many flies it’s caught so far but enough that it reduced numbers and made using the garden less of a torment.
This is absolutely brilliant! Only a week out and it’s already full. I keep it near the black waste bin at the end of the garden as we have dog waste there and it works wonders. We now have no flies in the house!! Highly recommended and will definitely get again!
This is my second purchase first bag was faulty inside container I was soon sent another .. the flies have gone crazy trying to get in I don’t actually see many bluebottles more gnats/etc but loads are inside dead with more flying in buzzing around not able to get out while more are outside on bottle desperate to get in .. This as given me confidence in all there other products
The first 2 days there are no flies in it, but then more and more are doomed inside. It’s so many that I doubt that I might do a flavor for my all neighbors as well.
Now I don’t know what it will be like to “clean” it up though. But that’s the next chapter of the story. It did fix my current fly problem by now.
Takes a few days to get working but when it does it works really well.
We get allot of flys as we live near a recycling plant and I’ll definitely be buying this again.
Easy to assemble – ideally the day before you want it working as the solution takes a while to activate – great for table during bbq hung one by back door too definitely less glued in the house !
This really works for catching flies, easy to set up. Set up and leave and in a couple of days you WILL see flies in side. The downside is the eventual smell but move to the furthest away from you as you can ie: bottom end of your garden where you don’t visit daily. When full close down the lid again and pop it in your bin. Could reuse but not sure it’s a nice thing to have to clean out.
This is a great product and works extremely well, but my it’s absolutely disgusting after a few days!, fly soup it becomes im not a squeamish person but this made me wanna vomit!
But it works and I’d recommend i
These things are amazing. Got two in the garden – one near the patio and one down the bottom next to the chicken coop. Easy to use – just add water and hang. Flys love them. No unpleasant odour to humans. Once full we stick the whole thing in a poo bag and chuck in the bin. This is our second batch. Don’t look nice when they are full of drowning flys but just hang somewhere they are slightly disguised by foliage. We hung ours under wisteria – slightly hidden but flys still flock in.
Really works for capturing flies however I was not prepared for the smell! They need to be discarded regularly because the smell gets unbearable! Extremely good for catching flies though
These work well, but be warned they work too well. They attract flies to the area you want to get rid of them. We found that placing it away from the affected area actually works better it will attract them away from where you want. If you place right where you want it to be fly free. It won’t work ad the chemicals attract ~millions of flies because it is so strong. Effective, but too effective!
These are the best fly graveyards! Don’t get me wrong a bit yucky but the sense of satisfaction knowing that they are in there and not flying in your face in the house! One I use at the bins and by god, it fills quick!! Also catches those wasps!! That’s even more satisfaction!!
When it’s full u need to .org it. I suggest wearing gloves and a mask. Cos it’s stinks. … I put down the drain and still the drain. Bought theses for both my mum’s and my back gardens and entry.
have purchased tis product before but this time we cannot remove the lids they are so tight yet the others we bought we had no problem so not happy with this produc
I detest flies and hate them coming in the house. I was recommended these by a friend so thought give them a go. They are brilliant and have definitely noticed less fly action in my house. I have noticed they take a bit of being out in the sun to activate, and think they attract more flies than if I didn’t use them. But as long as they aren’t in my house I don’t really care
These things are an absolute gold mine for trapping flies and sometimes wasps (never bees or other bugs).
I’ve completely filled both of these tubs in about four weeks. It’s like a fly Armageddon. Cannot believe how well it works. The only drawback is you don’t want it anywhere near the house or seating areasbecause it hums, really really stinks. It’s a foul smell so keep it away if you can. The good think is it works up to about 10m away so even if it’s away from the patio or house, the flies will still head up that way instead of surrounding you without one.
It definitely works at attracting and catching flies. I live close to a field so had it hanging on the hanging basked hook at door but had to move it after 3-4 days because the smell is absolutely vile
I half filled it with water and the sachet inside disolved. It started catching flies pretty much straight away but it took a week or so to see a difference inside the house. I have topped it up with water when it was running low and it became even more popular with the flies. So, I am now wondering if I should slightly top it up with water again.
I cannot comment on smell, I put it outside having read reviews that said it smelled, so it does not bother me at all, it is near a window that I leave open most of the time and no problematic smell.
Overall I would recommend. I bought after moving house, so I am not sure if there are more flies here in general but a bird flew down the chimney and died, so the house was swimming in flies. I have since covered the fireplace with taped down bin bags and I suspect the fly catcher has been disposing of the flies that have escaped the chimney as well as flies in the area.
I brought this after having a few bluebottles hanging around and thought I’d give it a go. After 3 weeks this is what I got I couldn’t believe how many bluebottles there were. I found it better if it was hung up it seems to attract more of them. I would highly recommend. I just brought some more
I’m stunned how good these are. Fill the jar with water, keep the top open and off the flies go. Within 30mins you have no flies buzzing around. We are in a temporary rental and had a fly infestation in the garden. We just kept the jar on ground level but you can hang it up too. A week or so later the jar was filled with flies (eurgh) which would otherwise made the garden unusable and the house full of flies zooming around. It does give off a horrid poo-like smell if you get as many flies as we do, particularly on hot days, but that means it’s time to change the jar because it’s full.
They do work a treat trapping flysheet but do they actually just attact them?? Also my cat was going crazy for the smell so they got very annoying when she kept trying to get at it and kept meowing constantly.
