1. This scanner DOES NOT scan 2D, QR, or barcodes on digital screens.
2. NOT Compatible with Square POS system; DOES NOT support Bluetooth mode.
3. When the scan result is different from the actual number (e.g. extra characters appearing at the front), the barcode is correctly scanned as is. Tera scanners can be modified with a setting code to hide the extra characters, please see the manual or consult us for details. It is not the quality or scanning issue with the scanner itself.
4. Tera 5100 1D wireless barcode scanner is capable of scanning colorful barcodes, EXCEPT red bars on white background and black bars on blue background.
- Tera 5100 is easy to set up. Just plug and play. It is compatible with any PC or laptop where you can plug a 2.4GHz wireless dongle. Not compatible with smartphones and tablets. Supports iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS.
- When connecting via 2.4GHz wireless, the transmission distance is up to 328ft with a barrier-free environment and about 30-100ft with an indoor obstacle environment, depending on the complexity of the environment.

It is a great and easy to use Barcode scanner.
However after 30 days of purchase with not very much use the audio Beep has failed, which isn’t very helpful when you need to know if an item has been scanned and entered onto the software we use.
If anyone could help with this I would be grateful.
We have used the barcodes supplied with the scanner to try and rectify the issue but so far that has not worked.
Plugged in the USB dongle and scanned straight out of the box. Really was that easy! Cant comment on the batter life as not used it in anger yet. Note: set Excel spreadsheet cells to ‘TEXT’ if you want leading zero’s from a scanned barcode.
Very clear information and easy to use. Lightweight and convenient to use to store the data and download it later.
Re-edited after team’s further feedback. 1 star lost is due to its slower response between two scans when scanning, compared with the other one. Hope this can be improved by the manufacturer.
