Tommee Tippee Anti-Colic Baby Bottles, Slow-Flow Breast-Like
Tommee Tippee Anti-Colic Baby Bottles, Slow-Flow Breast-Like Teat and Unique Anti-Colic Venting System, 150ml, Pack of 3
Which bottle teats are compatible with Closer to Nature Advanced Anti-Colic bottles?
Only Advanced Anti-Colic teats will work with Advanced Anti-Colic bottles. Using the wrong teat on your Anti-Colic bottle will reduce the effectiveness of the anti-colic system and may cause your bottles to leak.
Which flow rate do I need?
Every baby is different but as a guide we suggest slow flow for 0+months, medium flow for 3+ months and fast flow for 6+ months. As your baby grows and can feed more quickly, you can buy faster flowing replacement teats.
How do I know when to increase the bottle teat flow rate?
The following are all potential signs that you may need to increase the bottle teat flow rate: The bottle teat collapses during feeding; it takes longer than 20 minutes for baby to finish a bottle; baby tugs at the teat; baby falls asleep mid-bottle.
How do I ensure the valve is functioning correctly before feeding?
Check the star valve before you make up a feed. If the slit in the star valve is sealed closed your bottle will not vent properly. Hold up to the light and if you can’t see the slit, pinch it gently using teat tongs to re-open.
What’s the best way to test the feed temperature when using the venting tube?
Ensure that the venting tube is at room temperature before testing the temperature of the feed. Dip the tube for 10 seconds. If the heat sensing strip shows solid pink, the feed may be too hot. Allow the feed to cool further before feeding your baby.

We’ve been using this product for 4 months and find that 9 bottles, a mix of large and small were sufficient for our needs.
At first we tried Medela Calma and then Mama and regular TT, but we eventually settled on these for babies preference. I’m not sure that they helped with colic, as we still met the definition of it, but we definitely saw a reduction in wind both top and bottom.
I use these with both formula and expressed breast milk. The issue with the breast milk is that as the fatty particles separate and clump, then stick to the wand. To prevent this, warm your milk if it’s been in the fridge to body temperature and mix it before you need it. I do this when I’m going out as it merely coming to ambient temperature doesn’t help. If it still clumps then those bits of creamy goodness are great to supplement baby rice.
They can be trickier to clean by hand if the breast milk feels greasy, so I either use the dishwasher every now and then or rub a small amount of neat dishwashing soap over the stubborn greasy areas.
Some people mention that it leaks. We found that’s because the white part that secures the wand can pop up, if we take care to push it down until it clicks it doesn’t leak as well as ensuring you release extra pressure from the bottle by pressing the teat down after warming the milk.
You still get small air bubbles collect in the teat, but no where near as much as non colic bottles.
Ordered these back in February as my baby was suffering bad with colic. Still use them now and have used next size teats. No colic anymore. We also have another set of the same branded anti colic bottles.
I bought these on a whimm before my son came, just to be over prepared
I’ve seen a lot of criticism about these bottles! I think they’re great, especially as my son gussles his milk though the normal bottles and teets
I have had tommee tippy bottles for all my children, with my last we found that she struggled a little with colic, after purchasing these, less of a problem. Will always purchase tommee tippy.
I bought these for my grandson as he was struggling with colic and they helped him significantly. I wasn’t sure that they would but was ready to try anything so was very impressed!
Our little fella was suffering with wind so we got threes to help. They work great and he took to them well. They are a pain to clean because the inside bit has to be taken apart and each bit cleaned separately, but they come with a handy little brush to help.
