I’ve nothing to compare this to as I’m pretty much useless with modern technology but I use this to record my voice for my on line choir. Seems to work fine with my recording app, no poblems met with using it whatsoever.
Bought this for my podcast and it’s absolutely brilliant – the sound quality sounds just as good to me as if I had paid for an expensive ‘pro’ mic. Also, I got in touch with the company directly about something and they went above and beyond – thank you.
it’s so good, my son uses it he absolutely loves i
This is the second example of this microphone that I purchased and is just as good as the first one. Both are in use to provide audio input alongside a desktop and a laptop that I use for frequent Team and Zoom meetings. The sound quality and range of volume control available are reported as very good by meeting participants. Recently I had success using one of these microphones during a group meeting with about 15 participants in a domestic lounge setting with video displayed on a large TV. Even positioned some distance from the microphone all of the meeting participants could be heard clearly by the remote participants. I do not need, or make use of, the pop-filter screen attachments.
Exactly as advertised, reasonable price, arrived exactly on time. 100% recommend product & vendor.
No negatives.
It’s only real downside is that it picks up everything which can be a good thing.
Easy setup
Not tried it with much just a few training videos
Didn’t seem to give me any feed back
Works well with da Vinci resolve
It works , and doesn’t need much setting up but its way to quiet unless you have it by your mouth which defeats the purpose of a desktop mic
External 3rd part volume booster is required as windows 11 doesn’t have anything like i
Leading up to buying this, it was a bit of a battle between buying this or the Blue Snowball.
They both have exceptional sound but this one has more features. It has an RGB style light to indicate volume/gain, USB-C, it has noise cancellation and it has a mute button. These features honestly sold it to me.
I use it for Discord video calls and it sounds amazing.
The mic stand is metal and durable.
My laptop inbuilt mic was rubbish in meetings, this removes background noise and richens the tone.
Just remember to make sure it’s pointing the right way (the pop filter hides the mic) or it does the opposite!
Is a few things I would like to start to talk about first of all the stand the house is the main microphone I don’t know why they use elastic bands to keep this microphone secure because it doesn’t work not a mention the fact it is sometimes falls over due to the low quality stand and after using this microphone for a good while it started having static whenever I’m speaking to people online it’s not good for gaming it’s not good for conference calls whenever you try to adjust the volume to be higher so people can actually hear you it just enter be very static prone I guess this is what you get when you cheap out on a microphone just very disappointed
I’ve been using this microphone for a long while at this point. I got it on an offer at the time and thought it was going to be low quality and such. But I’m shocked to say that this microphone is really good!
Honestly for someone just starting out in professional gaming or making videos this microphone is stupidly good and has better audio quality that most gaming headsets.
It lacks features like buttons on the mic it’s self, but does have changeable sensitivities via whatever system you may be using.
It’s audio is surprisingly crisp and it’s doesn’t tear or cut out randomly. Plus the entire unit itself is USB so for anyone used to a headset mic you are no longer connecting it into the headset. Which is a major plus
My honest rating for this is a 4/5 for beginners. And even for intermediate streamers or content creators or whatever you use it for. I could also see it working perfectly for other uses like work and podcasts too.
Would recommend 100%
The mic sound quality is ok. It’s probably on par with 90-100$ gaming headset. If you are getting this mic to substitute for your headset mic or even any other cheap mic I would recommend this place one. You would be better off spending another 20-30$ on a more expensive mic. The mic quality difference will be much more noticeable if your are substituting for a headset mic. If you just need a cheap clear mic this one will do the job.
I’ve used this microphone to record narration and an acoustic guitar. It did the job well for both of those.
You’ll need to use decent software to get the most out of this microphone. I had to adjust the input settings a little to get the best recording quality, but once I did I was pleasantly surprised.
It’s not to the standard of a professional studio, but if you expect that from a mic that costs around 30 then I would say the problem is with you rather than with the equipment.
It does what it does very well.
Bought this while it was dropped to around 25, pretty happy with it so far.
Easy set up, plugged straight into my mac and working fine. Tonor offers a two year warranty for it apparently, and registering it on their website has raised it to 4 years.
When tested in Garageband there is a noticeable noise/hum, faint as it is. Lowering the input volume and speaking directly into the mic as close as you can reduces this issue, however if you’re like me and want it off to the side during a call it could be annoying to some. The noise is definitely more noticeable when tested on Discord, but there is a noise reduction feature in the voice settings that removes it entirely.
The included pop filter helps a lot and was the main reason I got this mic along with the price. You don’t have to worry about accidentally bursting anyones eardrums.
The spread out legs make it feel pretty sturdy despite being lightweight, shouldn’t get knocked over too easily.
Main issues people would have with this mic is that there is no mute button on the mic itself or any possible adjustments, like gain, that more expensive mics have. But for the price it’s more then decent.
I’m actually pleasantly surprised by this. I’ve bought a few microphones around this price and they’re mostly unuseable garbage. But this one picks up the sound really well, nice and portable, no complaints at all. I put on a high quality noise suppression in stream labs and it sounds great despite my room being “loud” and having no sound treatment whatsoever. The ONLY problem I’ve had is that when it came, it was so tightly packed that the foam head was squashed against the metal of the pop filter, so it has a huge crease in it that won’t go away. Other than that, I absolutely reccomend i
Well made product with a competitive price . I bought it specifically for use with the Zoom application and it works fine. Sound for voice is clear and with the guard in place there is no “spitching”. One of the other reviewers criticised it for low output, and although it only registers about 20% of the output scale as as shown on the windows 10 setting screen, this does not seem to impact on performance in Zoom.
I’m an actor, and I bought this microphone for voiceover work. It’s perfect.
The sound is clear and crisp. There’s no background white noise, and the range for this is surprisingly big – you can stand a metre away and still be clearly heard.
The only two downsides I’d say are a) there’s no headphone jack, only USB (nothing a converter couldn’t fix though) and b) when you plug it into your laptop/computer, you have to go into sound settings and turn the mic input up to 100, otherwise it’s really quiet.
Got it today plugged it in and it’s not picking my voice up. In Win10 sound settings there is no green bar or anything. Looks like I got a faulty one.
*Update
After getting a replacement mic I can say it’s working very well but I do now have a desktop mic arm which allows the mic closer to my mouth and suffice to say make voice volume much louder. Overall I am pleased with it now and must say customer service was excellent.
This microphone is really good and has some exceptional quality. My only gripe with this microphone is that it literally picks up everything. Background noise, you name it. It will have it there and that is quite annoying especially for when it comes to playing video games.
It’s quite annoying to have to use Audacity to level out the volumes and background noise after production which isn’t always needed with other microphones so there is definitely some issues that I don’t like. If you do have a studio, however, I do believe you won’t have this issue at all.
I bought this as a casual gaming mic and of course it does the job. The only issue is that it arrive with a scratch on the mic (see attached) it looks like dust but when i run my finger across it, its definitely not.
This is my second time ordering this because the first time the package got cancelled due to there being a delivery issue so its a little disappointing to see that the second time theres a scratch.
First of all I ordered this microphone and it came the following day and when I plugged it in and it worked straight away. It was packaged very well and so all in all very very happy with delivery and ease to set up.
Love the little stand it comes with and to me this product is very well made.
I have ordered and struggled with the quality of sound with a number of different microphones during ‘lockdown’ and had decided I would persevere and just make do as I couldn’t go through ordering another one only to purchase another microphone that was useless. I have a number of weekly presentations to record and having got to the point of despair last week I decided to trust the reviews and in particular the video feedback by Mr. Stuart V (IXIS on Tech) and take a chance on this microphone. I can highly recommend reading that review and watching his video feedback if your thinking about buying this.
I would like to say that I wish I had bought this microphone when I first checked it out. I recorded myself with the microphone 1 meter away and then stood over the other side of the room 5 metres away and it picked up my voice just as well. So all in all delighted. I cannot give a comparison to other well known brands that are more expensive but I can say that for my use this microphone is perfect and I am delighted with the sound quality. If I needed a second microphone for some reason I would by this without hesitation.
Totally impressed and totally happy at last!
After comparing the sound quality with my built-in mic and the mic on my rather expensive webcam, the sound is very clear and the quality is noticeable. I like the tripod and holder it comes with and the attached pop shield is useful. Seems like a good produc
The quality of this mic is Crazy – but don’t take my word for it – The difference is literally night and day. Brilliant for podcasting game streaming and that stuff there. I’ve used it with elgato and obs for streaming online and it has worked wonders. please see the video attached to this review.bthe mic is simple to set up and easy to work.
My only issue is that there is no manual gain on the mic so you have to rely on software to turn the volume up.
Those mic doesn’t look much I have to admit, but the clarity speaks for itself. I forgot to mention the background noise cancellation is brilliant. I have a very noisy laptop fan and this completely cuts the noise out so my viewers can focus on me.
Definitely going to have a look at this company’s other microphones.
This microphone is extremely good value. I have found it to be clear and true to the sound it’s recording. I mainly use it for recording instrumental pieces, mainly in low and high tin whistles. I managed very well with this task and managed to disguise some of the ‘chiffyness’ of breath.
I use audacity as my recording platform and this is compatible to use.
I am very happy with my purchase.
The only issue I have found is a low buzz that is very quiet but can become intrusive when layering multiple recordings. I am sure software can remove this issue.
I would recommend it.
Update: this is compatible with Skype for business
