A film that lives up to the hype. Amazing real time footage of modern jet fighters, and a believable plot line beautifully acted by a great cast. Funny and moving at times, but not over sentimental. Tom cruise at his best. Highly recommended by me.

I’d watched the original and really enjoyed it, could the second be as good. It was ,it was exciting , the flying scenes were fabulous and Tom Cruise was as good as ever. Highly recommend it.

Dvd has come a long way, purchased as a gift for a relative, tested before given as I use mainly Blu ray/4k displayed on a 50″ screen. As it was filmed digitally in 6k the transfer to dvd was fantastic considering the limitations.

What is there to dislike. Nothing. It’s amazing, great escape from reality. Fantastic filming and sound. Better than the original. If you love quality action, beautiful scenes and Tom Cruise then you’re in for a trea

    I love this film.
This is not my genre and usually I don’t watch these kind of movies. But for some reason it appealed to me and once watched, I didn’t regret it.
I haven’t even watched the first Top Gun yet. I do recommend this movie.
It’s not just about the Navy or military stuff.
It’s about friendship, teamwork, forgiveness and so much more

Well it’s really just a rehash of Top Gun, the flying is still spectacular but its no better than Top Gun when it was really the first time we’d seen something like that and it was all we could talk about for days, we were so mesmerised. I enjoyed it don’t get me wrong its worth watching, was it worth the hype and wait not really. The love story has been replaced with Mav trying to make friends with Goose’s son. The fantastic flying is amazing oh and let’s not forget the stolen scene from Firefox ( my opinion… Clint was a better plane thief than Tom Cruise). Its a jolly romp, but im glad I got it at a reduced price!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWatched the film at the cinema x2
1st time was at a regular sized screen – meh! After watching Dunkirk in 2017 at a imax theartre, I was vying for the bigger screen. Sadly the local imax odeon closed down so I decided to go to the imax in London. Other than the cramped seating it was amazing to see it, albeit I was a little bored due to seeing it already.

I decided to get the steelbook as the amount of effort to get the shots of real planes / flying means it warrants watching it again and in 4kuhd.

Both the 4k and bluray version have the exact same content on them. Both have approx 20mins of fascinating behind the scenes of how they made it and got the incredible shots. Also includes 2x music videos and the 4k version has a 1 hour conversation with Tom Cruise at Cannes which is kinda interesting but not terribly exciting.

I paid an extra 11ish just to get the front cover image that I think looks best. Overall I’ve probably spent just over 100 on this

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersCertainly, worthy of A SECOND VIEWING, EVEN BETTER SECOND TIME AROUND.
Good visual presentation on the 4k format.
4K Sold with just the 4K Version
The kinda’ next episode in the TOP GUN franchise – –
Over 30 years on United States Navy Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell iTom Cruise)
is a test pilot, still has that do-his-own-thing mentality which is why he hasn’t gained
    a higher rank.
Going against orders he fly’s a high-tech jet to test it’s limits, it crashes, Maverick bails
    out.
On thie verge of being thrown out of the service a call from his old outfit Top Gun,
ADM Tom “Iceman” Kazansky, the commander of U.S. Pacific Fleet, close friend and former rival of Maverick’s (Val Kilmer) requests that Maverick re-joins Top Gun top help plan a
    ‘strike’ mission
However, it seems that Top Gun only want the former ace-pilot to tyrain a team and plan
the execution, no intent for Maverick to lead the assault.
The target a Uranium Enrichment plant, set up by a rogue state, the site well defended, ik has n a difficult to attack location.
Maverick has to choose a team from the best they have to do the mission.
Maverick is almost kicked-ouit after the death of Iceman, but takes a jet to the air unofficially
    to prove a point.
He will lead the chosen team, the mission goes ahead but not without threat.
Jennifer Connelly as Penelope “Penny” Benjamin, Maverick’s rekindled love interest, who is a single mother, a bar owner, and the daughter of an admiral.
This is good-stuff,,,maybe not the equal of the first but very much worth watching.
