I use this to set up workshop tools (table saw, drill press etc). It’s dead easy to use and very accurate (checked with an engineer’s square). The magnetic base is a godsend. Clear display, easy to read.
No idea how long the batteries will last, but we’ll see
I thought this might have been a bit clumsy and awkward, but it’s very small but clearly visible readout makes it a great little device to hand.I used it to trim my lathe and milling machine it was extremely accurate and very easy to read. For the price it’s really a good handy thing for a quick way to check your work in a vice as it’s so accurate.I really am happy that I bought this I’ve used it a lot in the month since getting it .Recommend anyone to have one in their workshop.
The angle only specifies to 0.1 so as a general tool it’ll get you in the right area. Certain uses like getting a true 45 on your table saw blade for perfect mitres, it’s only going to same you some time, maybe. You’ll probably be better marking the table saw at its 45 and 90.
I’ve mainly been using it to get my sanders/drill press/ bandsaw and work tables level to within that .1
Comes with a battery which was appreciated and a soft case (with a belt loop?) which wasn’t.
I think a small plastic case would’ve been a cheaper and better option.
The package arrived as promised within a day. So far it seems to function as described. However, the package was the original oem packaging with an addressee label stuck to the side. This would have been fine if the package was sealed. It was not. Anyone could have opened the package in transit and removed the item, re-closed it and no one would have been any the wiser. I know that this is a low value item, but ensuring it is at least sealed for transit must surely be a minimum.
