By no means silent when typing but pretty quiet really. Works well and my colleagues say that when I am typing up notes in meetings it is much quieter than my old keyboard! Be careful not to throw the dongle receiver away with the packaging, it wasn’t obvious where it was in the box.
I wanted to cut down on wires so I decided to try wireless keyboard and mouse.
All I had to do was plug a little WiFi rab into a USB socket and that was it.
I find that I have to touch the on switch on the mouse to activate it when I first turn on the computer.
It’s great not having wires everywhere.
Bought this as a replacement after the dongle on my old Microsoft keyboard broke (RIP). It’s a decent size, keys are great (not the flat laptop type which I personally dislike), battery life is great (and batteries come included) and the dongle is tiny which means there’s less chance of you knocking it and breaking it. For the price you can’t go wrong. Would recommend.
The first thing to say is that the combo works as well as the higher priced proprietary combo it replaces. I can’t comment on its suitability for gaming, as I’m not a gamer. As a basic keyboard/mouse it works well. It loses a star for the total lack of any documentation , a simple “how to” paragraph would help as you have to have alternative means to visit the manufacturers website to get the required information. Also the location of the wireless receiver INSIDE the mouse next to the batteries is not intuitive and cannot be seen on initial external inspection. Obviously I found it eventually. Overall, its a good value product for less than half the price (at present) of its bigger name competitors
the keyboard layout is exactly the same as the dell i currently use, is not clicky (good) and key travel is very similar to the dell too. i wont notice any difference between the two and i’m typing this at the same speed as i’d be typing when using the dell keyboard but on the Trust combo instead. a great result.
the mouse is fine too. very small differences in shape cannot be commented upon as i guess everyone’s hand is slightly different. the mouse is also perfectly acceptable and works just fine (i had to go into settings of windows 10 and reduce the speed of the mouse as it was whizzing about the screen to quickly for my liking – it took all of 20 seconds to do (settings, devices, mouse, cursor speed – job done).
a wonderous piece of magic delivered for a price that is astounding. well recommended
(i have yet to find out how long the multiple aaa size batteries take to run down, but as i have a drawer
full of rechargeable 800ma/h spares, it will be a no brainer as long as i get a good couple of weeks use out of them).
impressed. recommended.
Very quiet keyboard, the keys have enjoyable softer feedback and performs as you’d expect, so feels like an upgrade. I’m a little suspect that mine was some sort of return as the battery strips had been removed and the packaging was a bit all over the place but everything was in there and working. The mouse clicking could have been designed quieter, strangely the right click is louder and feels ‘cheaper’ than the left click button, if that makes any sense…. and if you walk away from it you need to click the mouse to wake it up, which is just something to get used to as I guess this helps with battery life. Overall happy, just hope the letters don’t wear away as suggested in other reviews.
