My son loves these. His old set was having issues and the mic didn’t work anymore. He says this new headset works way better and when he plays games it sounds better. In War Thunder he says he can actually hear more things happening around him.
From a parent standpoint it may work too well. Sometimes it is hard for him to hear us calling him (I’m sure it’s the headset, right?)
He loves it and it works great. He likes that there is a separate mute button instead of flipping the mic up and down. He didn’t like moving the mic up and down on the old headset and doesn’t seem to mind the new one cannot move.
These are the most comfortable headphones I have worn. Super light weight and comfortable. And the “glasses relief” claim is actually true. No discomfort at all from wearing them over my glasses. The sound is good but not amazing.
So why only 4 stars?
1. The headphone jack crackles when I move the controller.
2. The reason they are so comfortable with glasses is that the foam is very… whatever the opposite of dense is. Durability is amajor concern.
3. I paid 42. Which was supposedly marked down from 70. But they are regularly sold, on Amazon and elsewhere, for well under 40. You should assume 40 is the standard price and therefore I feel I didn’t get the great deal I thought I did.
4. They are big. Really big. It makes you look kind of goofy.
Don’t get me wrong, this headset is AWESOME, and if on sale I would recommend. But, there are issues with the mic. The mic is detachable and all but it echos a lot from what my teammates tell me. Usually it’s not a very big echo, it’s just an echo that can be annoying at times. But sometimes there is no echo but most of the time there is. The next problem I had with the mic is that EVERYTHING in the background will bleed through the mic. Someone talking in the back or walking around, the mic will pick it up. But other than that it’s a solid headset and the mic quality is REALLY good but the actual mic is where it’s lacking.

Estos aislan totalmente el ruido, puedes hablar perfectamente con tus amigos o incluso quitar el micrfono fono para que no te estorben. Buensima compra!
I spent a lot of time reading reviews, technical specs and watching YouTube videos to help with this purchase. This is a fantastic headset and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Wie bei Turtle Beach nicht anders erwartet eine sehr gute Mikrofon- und Klangqualitt. Jedoch sitzt das Recon 500, bei mir zumindest, nicht richtig auf dem Kopf. Selbst wenn ich mich nur ganz leicht nach vorne beuge, rutscht es mir nach vorne vom Kopf. Aber insgesamt ein ganz passables Headset fr den Preis.
Excellent quality headphones. Works amazing. Great sound quality and good noise-cancellation. Microphone also works really well. Very comfortable to wear them and no sweating like with some. The ear pads are very soft. Such type of headphones will be great for long time play. So, all good about this headphones.
his thing right here is so great, using it with Xbox series S. and specifically Call Of Duty MW2,
I’ve used many headsets before like “razer thresher, and the latest xbox wired” the turtle beach hit different, very good sound quality and surround sound, the sound of foot steps and bullets shooting and even birds flying around in the background are so crystal clear.
for the mic the people I play with are impressed and saying that it is so clear.
if you are looking for a wired perfect quality headset go for this one.
**Note:
the one thing that I MIGHT change are the ear pads, would like to have tighter ones and that is personal, but the one on it are perfect and cool on the ears, no heat/no swea

-aber ich muss das Kopfband auf die grte Einstellung setzen; normalerweise reicht eine “medium” Einstellung, weshalb grere Kpfe hier keine Chance zum passgerechten Tragen haben
+Mikrofon ist gut, besser als das von den allermeisten Bluetooth-Kopfhrern (besser als Arctis 7, schlechter als HS80)

The controls being on the left ear cup is a great idea as is causes less issues when getting comfortable during a long gaming session. They are light and comfy to wear. One last point I would like to make is looking through the reviews for the recon 500 I saw many bad reviews for other cheaper models. Don’t be discouraged and actually take time to look into it.
