Really easy to set up and works perfectly, get all the HD channels
I am really happy with my purchase, the aerial beats the one it replaced, can’t comment on range because I live really close to transmitter.
Its early days but so far it seems to be ok time will tell i guess .
This is the third one I tried the first got me 29 channels, the second found 0 channels, this one found an astounding 79 channels, it fixes to the window perfectly & has a great flexibility with the connections.
Can’t complain. Can’t give 5 stars cos nothing gs perfect is i
This is an excellent indoor aerial. We get 96%+ quality and 100% signal with it which is 50% more than we were achieving with our standard roof aerial. It’s super slim with enough cable to ensure it can be put in just the right place whilst being discreet at the same time. Would I recommend this to other people? Yes, yes I would.
The benefit of it being powered by USB meaning one less plug to use so you don’t need an plug extension if your TV has a USB port. If your TV doesn’t have a spare USB port or simply doesn’t have one then a simple USB plug with work just fine.
Overall a great aerial without the fuss of moving antennas around until you get a picture only to walk away and lose the picture. I’d highly recommend and will be buying another one for my bedroom TV to free up a plug socket and to get better single and picture quality.
I’ll admit to being disappointed when I opened the box and saw it, a square of flimsy looking plastic with wires attached, but what the heck, so I plumbed it in. This is the bedroom telly; having pulled out the mains powered aerial from the top of the wardrobe and installed this one and the telly was switched on. Bearing in mind the the ‘flimsy looking plastic thing’ was still on the floor, the tv picked it up and we got the best picture ever, so I then set to re-tune and got over 100 channels, and moved it to the window cill, still great, and then put it out of the way on top of the wardrobe, no change—wow. Seeing as the one it replace cost me over 30 several years ago, there is no comparison, at this price it’s a gif
Really didn’t have very high expectations when I ordered this for a new tv in the kitchen. It arrived and initially following the instructions we tried by the nearest windows to get a good signal and got nothing! We plugged the tv into an external aerial and programmed freeview in then tried again. Eventually having decided I was right and it was a waste of money I wandered round the kitchen waving it about expecting no improvement when I picked up a good signal. Encouraged I tried various unlikely places and it is now installed on the underside of a kitchen wall cupboard shelf. Completrly out of sight. Consistently gives good signal. This is through solid 2ft external stone wall not near a window. Its been in use over a week now with no problems. Yes it was a pain to set up but having found the sweet spot it was worth the effort compared to running unsightly cables in from an outside aerial.
Needed an indoor aerial for a tv in a room with no aerial point. Had tried others in the past with little success. Decided to give this one a go after reading the reviews.
Really easy to install and the good thing is the cable is long enough to have the tv set away from the aerial itself. Initially I just connected the aerial to the tv itself. Tuned in and got far more channels than previously but found that some of them pixellated on occasions. Then added the booster to the install (to use this you will need a USB socket on the tv or use an external USB power source which isn’t provided). Once the booster was attached, I retuned the tv set and got well over 100 channels. The signal quality was far better and had no problems watching all channels without any interference/pixellation. We had our aerial propped up on a windows sill.
It was easy to install I wasn’t holding on to much hope in my old terraced house with thick stone walls we are about 20 miles as the crow flies from the mast stuck the Ariel behind the tv in our bedroom run the scan 0 channels found using its ample length cable I put it as high as I could reach by the window behind the curtains stuck it on with blue tack in case it didn’t work. run the scan a few minutes later over 50 channels found tv and radio, picture quality is great on all channels I have got a USB port on the tv itself which powers the booster tested without it 0 channels found if you don’t have a USB port on yours you could us any usb socket like an old phone charger. I’m pleased we finally got a tv in the bedroom from an indoor Ariel after 16 years of trying Happy days we watched Deadpool on it last night Epic
Well, I feel compelled to write a review as I really didn’t expect much from this product. I wanted a TV in my bedroom and there is an existing aerial roof cable which wasn’t connected. I tried connecting it up but couldn’t make it work so before I got an aerial engineer in I thought I would give this aerial a go, plus the roof aerial isn’t really
In the right part of the room so I figured if this aerial did work it would give me more flexibility as to where I could put the TV.
The last time I used an indoor aerial was 20 years ago and they hardly ever worked.
Well I am pleased to say that this aerial for me gave me perfect picture and found all the stations my sitting room TV has. The product is so thin and light that I figured it was probably too flimsy to work but it really does.
I am in the countryside with no one around me and I’m also only about 20 miles from the transmitter but I am so glad I tried this, it’s discreet, lightweight and essentially portable. I didn’t even need to use the supplied amplifier.
Obviously different locations/ properties will have different experiences but I would say give it a go as has worked for me
I retuned the TV which picked up 138 channels on the first go, I won’t bother trying it anywhere else. The signal has to come through an external house wall and also an internal bedroom wall, it’s set up about 6 feet away from the window and works perfectly.
I will say that our local transmitter is only about 10 miles away but I have no reason to believe it wouldn’t work as advertised, hey if it doesn’t just return it, you can’t go wrong.
The reason I got this was to get rid of the Sky mini box in the bedroom which was costing me 144 per year. OK I no longer have record and playback facilities in the bedroom but I’ve got it all on the main box in the living room. I would highly recommend this product.
I moved locations of a tv and did not want to reroute the aerial so did some research and opted for a digital aerial.
I was not expecting much but have been presently surprised.
It takes sometime to find the right location, with trial and error and then even when in location picture was ok for 5 mins then lost.
I then realised I should have been I the tv signal area of tv box rather than looking at the picture and suddenly could see much clearly the quality and strength of signal.
I week on and the aerial has not needed to be moved and not a flicker on the tv channel.
Considering last year I paid 150 for a loft aerial and 40 quid for a signal booster I am now gutted I did not try this before.
I bought this digital aerial for a small television in my small bedroom. It is very easy to install and scanning is super quick. I did the installation and channel scanning in the living room downstairs which I know from experience has the best signal reception. The scanning registered over 200 channels, superb! When I moved both the television and digital aerial back to the small bedroom upstairs, I did not bother to scan again as I know it is likely to detect less channels and frankly speaking, I am happy with the first scan. Pictures remain crystal clear. I did not need to use the adhesive as I just placed the aerial laying flat beside the television. I strongly recommend.
Positives – it works brilliantly. Long aerial lead and a simple plug in usb signal booster attached. The room this is in now has better tv signal + quality than every other room running off the loft aerials.
I found the same as every aerial will be – certain locations in the room disrupt the signal – at the end of the day it’s not going to magically pick up a transmission with something in the way but you work out the best position that you can and for what it is, it is one of the best aerials i have ever used.
As you can see by the photo, it’s fairly large and not a thing of great beauty. I stuck it on the window as I thought that was the best chance of picking up at least something. I’m not sure I want to leave it there forever. As it actually works, I may move it at some point and try on the wall.
I plugged it in, with the included amplifier as I thought “no chance” without (even our roof aerial needs a signal booster). It was pretty easy to plug in but the amplifier does need a source of power and a power socket isn’t included. This wasn’t a worry for me as I have a USB socket on my TV so I plugged it into that, but it’s worth noting.
I turned the TV on and set it to tune. It found 109 channels and 23 radio channels. The quality is sharp and the picture is actually better than the TV which is plugged into our roof aerial. I am just gobsmacked. I’m sitting here saying “it actually works! It actually works!” and my husband is laughing at me. We’ve only ever used this TV as a smart TV before but now I have freeview too.
We’ve drawn the conclusion that technology has moved on over the years – last indoor aerial I tried was 2-3 years ago – and we probably should look at either investing in a better roof aerial or getting rid of it and getting another of these.
All of these aerials have mixed reviews – I read a lot before I bought this and this one seemed better than a lot – but I can only say that this worked well for me and as I live at the foot of a lot of hills and a probably 40-50 miles from the transmitter, I’m Not in the easiest area.
