This I’ve used for things one would expect for velcro, however, I was given a recommendation to use for badges on leathers and I’m so impressed. The velcro adheres really well to the leather and holds even in the wet. Really pleased it was recommended to me.
This stuff is so sticky on the back its holding a very heavy hand knotted carpet on the wall. I’m talking 244cm by180cm. One side pressed straight onto the carpet back, the other onto an emulsion painted wall.
The Velcro is firmly attaching itself and the carpet is not going anywhere. Absolutely state of the art does what it says it does. Mind you, I think it’s very important that the surface the backing attaches to, is very secure, dry and dust free.
I used the Velcro to attach my car registration plate. Adhesion is mega strong! Depending on how much you’ve used it’ll take some fighting to remove. It withstands all types of weather conditions along with pressure washer cleaning.
Will happily reorder more once I find more use. Genuinely happy. Incredible product.
This heavy duty Velcro works extremely well, just make sure you clean the surface you intend to stick the Velcro onto before trying to stick it on. If it’s got a layer of dust or dirt the adhesive will just stick to the dust and fall off easily.
Once applied Velcro is very difficult to seperate when it’s new so I advise hooking it together then separating it a few times first to “break it in”.
Used this to mount my extension lead underneath my desk. It’s quite heavy with all the cables plugged into it buts it’s never struggled or ripped off. Very good quality
This stuff is amazing, I’ve used other Velcro stuff for wall mounting things in the past but the adhesive just isn’t strong enough, this does exactly what it says on the packet, highly recommend.
Holds number plates as good as, if not better, than plate tape. Same as in Halfords for cheaper price. Plates are rock solid on the car.
Reasonably strong tape and VELCRO. but like all adhesive tape has limitation.
Very good product. High quality and strong. Very fast delivery
Super strong done job in matter of seconds super strong adhesive to
This is our second purchase of this product and it’s worth having some in the house, it’s usages are endless, we first tried it after having wood flooring in the entrance hall, dogs would come down the stairs and slide , so put down a carpet runner which kept moving, put this on the corners and never had a problem since, used it outside to fasten down awning carpet on the decking stop the wind blowing it up
I brought this because my cushions keep falling off my rattan outdoor furniture when it’s slightly windy. It comes with the two rolls of Velcro and it stuck to the rattan furniture and cushions really well. Would definitely recommend for this use and would purchase more of this if need be.
I bought this to put a new number plate on my car without needing to drill and screw. I’ve also used it for a trailer and a bike rack and once those plates are on, they’re going to take a lot of effort to remove! Definitely sturdy.
I was impressed by the durability of this tape. I hung a pest control door curtain for outside using this tape, it still looks good in my garden 2 years later.
I’m very happy with this produc
As expected this works nicely. A good strong hook and loop Velcro. Would happily buy again.
It has a strong chemical smell, but at least it works.
I am using this for my power strip for the computer desk so far so good. Only problem is it’s not all flat on the part it sticks the velcro to the in my case the wood part of my desk. when you roll it it tends to bend the sticky stuff so while it is very sticky (great) it’s not flat, maybe use something to flatten out the tape to get it a bit stronger. sounds like gibberish but you might understand if you get some. I’ve mixed views about the amount you get. Just enough tape for 4 or 5 power strips of 5 sockets long. Yes you don’t get much but if your only using it on a couple of items it’s not to bad I got it with the + Extension Lead tape. I’d say it’s a little over priced but it is what it is.
I have previously bought heavy duty self adhesive velcro that sadly doesn’t stay put, that is to say the strength of the velcro fastening far exceeded the strength of the adhesive, so in trying to open the velcro it just came off what it was stuck to, however these are quite different.
These stay put.
I used this in to vecro a usb power bank to a wall ( I have a cat water fountain that comes with a ridiculously short 40cm cable so needed a source of power near the cat feeding station).
I replace the power bank once a day, so have one spiket strip on the wall and one soft side on each of two power banks so that one can charge whilst the other is in use
The velcro to velcro grip is strong, and the adhesive stick to the power bank and the wall is stronger, so it is staying put, which is great.
Just for fun, we tried some on a really heavy masonry drill, sticking one so de to the drill and the spikey side to the metal tool hanging section in the shed ( we put the second ft side on the things to be hung up so that you are not holding the spikey bit when you want to use the tool)
We did have to get the drill centred on the velcro strip on the wall, and it did hold the weight, which is really surprising.
Then…we tried to remove the velcro from the drill, as we already have a handy hanging grip set up for it , and that was difficult.
In the end, having tried acetone and trying to ply it off with a Stanley knife, we used a heat gun to melt the adhesive, and plied it off but it was well and truly stuck, so learn from us, only stick the velcro if you are sure you really want it there.
Used to keep a plastic box container still, in the boot of my car. Slides around when I am driving. Taped the bottom of the box, using two 30cm strips, to the floor of the boot. Adhesion is good, but only time and use will tell. Seems to be working so fa
Bought this to do a flyscreen as sick of flies and ready for Summer. The original that came with it was weak and it fell down. This is very strong, but it has to be said plan in advance as once stuck that’s it. Don’t buy cheap get the best. It is expensive, but then again so is having to keep buying a weaker brand. Also to remove apply heat as using your fingers won’t work.
I always get a little uncomfortable when I run out of this stuff. It’s ace for bodging small devices that need to stay put.
Easily lives up to load-bearing rating and other claims, really good to use.
The Velcro adhesion is top drawer. I can imagine it holding quite heavy items. I used it to stop my sofa seat cushions shuffling forward and it works to a point. It might be that my sofa cushions and base aren’t particularly good at adhering to the Velcro backing although I doubt it. When I go to lift the cushion the Velcro doesn’t detach but the sticky backing does. So, overall it’s good but not if the thing you’re sticking to is not very adhesive. I’d imagine this would work better stuck to a flat surface like laminate, plastic or a painted surface. For fabric not so good.
Great holding power.
For anything you don’t want to screw or nail down, this will keep anything in place for as long as you want without damage.
For example a number plate on a car, several pieces stuck on the back of the number plate have held it securely for over 8 years.
If you remove and change position of the Velcro it does lose a bit of stickiness to the surface. It still works well but the more times it’s moved or repositioned the more likely you will need to cut fresh from the roll.
It’s my go to product when I need something sticking somewhere.
I got this as, after trying to drill through what seems to be solid diamond to put up some curtains, I was ready to go radio-rental. (I don’t do DIY – and this proves why).
The cunning plan was to put a strip of this on the curtains and a strip on the lintel.
On the upside. Absolute success in every way.
On the up/down side. There is no way on earth that these curtains are coming down. In fact, trying to pull them off the velcro would probably result in the roof of the house coming off.
This velcro has some weapons-grade stickability.
Bought this for my boyfriend to fix up a few things. Love how useful this can actually be and how convenient and easy it is to make things better by just being a bit creative.
Only thing that I will say is that we tried using it on toothbrush holders in the bathroom but the taped side of the velcro didn’t stick to the tiled wall at all. Otherwise we’ve found it pretty good.
The black Heavy Duty Stick On Tape 50 mm x 2.5 m Roll certainly does what it says on the tin!
Once an item is stuck using it (on a wall or wherever you plan to stick it), it aint coming off!
I’ve used this for sticking frames to the wall and they do not budge at all. Took a lot of effort to be able to get the frame off the wall, but the tape still remained on the wall!
I noticed that this will peel the paint off the wall, so please make sure that once you’ve picked the location you want to apply this tape to, you don’t intend to move it elsewhere (unless you plan on re-painting the wall).
Recommended!
Awesome item for my uses iIl needed it for as I’ve bought this item many times in the past so I know how much it should cost and how to use it. I wasn’t happy how much you charged for it even if it was because of covid or not.
the stars review above states out of 5 stars rate the ease of removing … why would i rate 5 stars on something that has to be 100% strong and not remove lmao that is daft. so im sorry on that reason i rated 1* as it shouldn’t need to be removed thats the whole point of the product lol.
To advise on people having issues or need to know how to use it.
1- first make sure both surfaces are clean helps the adhesive bond so use alcohol rub if needed.
2- make sure both surfaces are dry
3 – make sure your items are aligned with the male and female sides always double check before going ahead.
4- peal a little bit of backing and place one side down and check its aligned so you can get a perfect fit.
5- peal the rest of the backing while using your other hand to slide the slip down.
6- wallah! all done just rub your hand all over if needed to smooth it out.
7 – optional tip! use a heat gun or a hair dryer from a distance to warm up the advise while rubbing your hand over the already stuck strips to give it more stickiness to make sure it bonds well.
8- leave it to set for 24 house before sticking the male and female strips together this will help avoid you pulling the freshly stuck bonded bits away from the surface. this is due to how strange these bits are.
hope that helps
i love these items they come in use for all sorts of projects my current project is for a laptop on a custom built bench i use for streaming.
Was a tad disappointed with this, yes you get quite a huge roll for the money and came very quickly and both parts adhere very quickly together but the job I wanted it for to hold a small lightweight paper blind to Upvc it didn’t work! Trying to then get it off the Upvc was a job in itself I had to get a scraper and lots of elbow grease to prise it off! I eventually bought those command like strips from home bargins for a couple of pound and they worked a treat….. maybe fantastic for other things but I have no real use now for the huge roll I have left…. shame
Bought some of this to attach extension leads to the back of cabinets/desks at home.
I’m a little disappointed in this given it is the genuine product. The velcro itself is very good and will hold a fully loaded 4 gang plug however the adhesive backing is really poor. Having left two installations of this stuck down for 24 hours I then attached the fabric backed extension blocks to the velcro only to find that both of them had peeled away the adhesive backing after a further 48 hours.
I reattached these and luckily they have stayed in place but I would be slightly worried if it was something more valuable than an extension lead I was trying to hold in place.

I purchased this roll of Velcro Heavy Duty Stick On for a number of small projects rather than for one specific task. The adhesive is surprisingly strong, especially if left to cure for a couple of days. I found it incredibly difficult to remove from plastic with there literally being no chance of it coming away on its own.
I don’t know if it would get the same kind of adhesion to painted walls (mainly due to certain paints not sticking very well to plastered walls etc.) and I certainly wouldn’t use it to hang up tools on the wall as illustrated on the box! I think sometimes you simply can’t beat nails or screws and rawlplugs for some tasks. Whilst this Velcro strip may be more convenient by not needing to drill holes etc. you will more than likely need to repaint the surface after removing this strip from the wall just as you would need to fill a drilled hole.
The roll I received came in a Velcro branded box and the backing of the hook and loop strips is also Velcro branded. The strips have a very strong adhesive smell which took me by surprise when I opened the box. If you’ve ever smelt sellotape it’s like that but about 50 times stronger!
One thing I’m a little disappointed with was the hook part of this strip. The ‘hook’ part is spaced out quite far apart and while the ‘loop’ strip that comes with this sticks really well to it (to the extent that it’s actually very tough to pull apart), other Velcro or hook and loop stuff simply doesn’t stick to this very well at all. So, it’s not really ‘compatible’ with anything apart from itself.
Pros:
– Strong adhesive especially on plastic surfaces
– Plenty of hook and loop strip in the box
– Easy to cut and apply
– Velcro branded
Cons:
– The ‘hook’ part is not really compatible with ‘loop’ parts from similar products due to the hook arrangement
– Smells very strong initially
Have had to buy some of this simply to stop my dogs pulling up my Veg Trug covers and eating the contents. This one roll was just enough to go round the front and 2 sides of a medium Veg Trug with a little left over to put on the front of a mini Veg Trug. It’s fairly thick and if you push it together properly it takes a good few muscles to pull it apart so we have put it directly onto the wooden trug, then stapled it on to make sure it doesn’t move. The other side of it stuck really easily and really firmly on the trug cover. Now I can rest in the knowledge that my peas, salsify and cucumbers will be left in peace to grow and not keep having their leaves pulled out from under the cover.
I might actually put this on my attic door as it keeps failing so needs something really strong to hold it together, which we can then pull with a handle and open properly. Surprised though that the white is more expensive than the black – it’s the same stuff!
Anyway, seems to work well and so far, dogs have tried and failed to get their noses under the trug covers! Yay! Just what I needed.
This stuff is brilliant. Im currently using it to hold magazine files onto the side of my desk thus avoiding them cluttering my desk but keeping them with in reach and detachable. It holds a surprising amount of weight and is yet to fail. However the adhesive does have trouble bonding with some surfaces, an ikea bookshelf i have refused to stick to the velcro even when lefty for the recommended 24 hour bonding period and thus a relatively light weight xbox controller was enough to make it fall, however this is the only surface i have found to be a problem, it is made of a wooden veneer which is slicker than most an this is likely the problem, it does work however in my testing with wood, plastic, metal, breeze blocks (in the garage), most painted walls if left for 24 hours to bond (did not in my experience remove paint when removed from wall) and foam.
As long as the adhesive bonds with your desired surface you will love this product.
