heyre very comfortable and filter noise great. they wont do heavy duty blocking out noise, however, theyre great for everyday use, like if the sound of a fan bothers you.

I used these ear plugs for motorcycling on long runs as i find the constant air noises make me tired.
These are the best all round i have found so far , comfortable to wear , cuts out noise very well and they are easy to remove with a nice long stalk (others i have tried have got stuck and needed someone to help remove them ! ) – if you are looking for biking ear plugs i would certainly recommend Vibes Acoustic Filter ear plugs.

Sharp plastic edges, but other than that they did the job perfect. I attended the ASOT1000 in Utrecht and they did their job by blocking sound well. I will wear them in the next events for sure.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFortunately, the stalks don’t stick out too far, I would change to eat tips as they don’t seem thick enough and I’ll probably replace them soon. Noise cancelling is only reduced a smidge, which is all I need for daily life

These will not bring the decibels down as much as simple rubber plugs but that’s not their purpose. Designed to protect yourself from sound surges but also be able to hear the music and maintain quality. I use them for drumming.

I have no idea if I’m on the ASD spectrum, but I can be prone to the odd bout of sensory overload. My partner recommended these to me and my goodness do they work well. They’re just an earplug with a tube in the middle for channelling the sound down so far as I can see. But they softened the noise really well. I GUESS they takes the top and bottom off the soundwave or something techy and expert sounding?
    Whatever, I do recommend them

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe product is good quality and the packaging looks good. It’s useful to have a little carry case.

However, I bought these for use at gigs but I don’t think they are suitable for that. They do reduce the sound but I don’t feel it reduces it evenly. My experience was that they reduce mid and high frequency but not the bass, as a result the concert will sound very bass heavy.

These are really comfortable to wear and I like that they are reusable but I’m going back to using foam ear plugs for gigs.

2nd pair I have bought (lost the first pair 🙁 ). I have had a few sets of plugs over the years and these are the best. Discreet and work really well.

Use them for Gigs and going to nightclubs (actually hear better with them in when speaking to friends as they block out a lot of white noise)

When listening to Music, they allow you to hear the music better and stop ringing in the ears the next day.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI tried Loops, Knops, Flare, and normal foam earplugs and didn’t love any of them, but these are great! It drowns out all the background noise that I hate (keyboards tapping, stomping of feet down stairs, other people’s conversations, etc), including the high-pitch noise some electronics emit. It makes it a little difficult to hear people if they speak quietly, but they’re perfect for the lecture hall and for the library, two places where I need them most.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersOne of the pads was slightly damaged on arrival and the company was very quick to rectify, sending me out another set. I used them on a trip to London as I have hypersensitivity to overstimulation and I hoped they would protect me from too much noise. They did do that but I have a couple of aspects I’m not so keen on. I would love it if the ‘stalk’ was shorter so that I could sleep in them. As it is, they stick out a lot so that if I was to lie on my side, it’s too uncomfortable as the stalk protrudes further than my ear. Also, while I could hear my friend’s voice (lower, of course), I didn’t like hearing my own voice inside my head in reply, like when we have blocked ears from wax. So I won’t use them for conversations or sleep. But they are good if I am working from home and just need quiet, same if I have a rest on my back.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought these for the office – I’m there once a month. I was finding the noise distracting and a bit stressful – conversations on the opposite side of the office seem as loud as those next to me.

The Vibes are tiny, discreet, and leave speech intelligible, but they seem to let my brain better ignore more distant sound and concentrate more on what’s nearer me. I also wore them when we went out for a post-work meal and they massively reduced the unpleasantness of an echoey room full of noisy people.

Definitely worth trying for anyone who has over-active hearing and finds busy spaces a bit overwhelming – these really take the edge off, without leaving me feeling isolated like foam earbuds or noise cancelling headphones. They’re also very discreet – I doubt they’re invisible, but I didn’t feel massively conspicuous with them on.

I am a hearing aid user but also sensitive to loud noise. I have been looking for something that I can wear to music concerts as the previous ones I’ve attended have left me with a migraine. Anyway, I saw these in an internet search and thought I would give them a try for the low price. I am absolutely delighted. It was the most comfortable I have ever been at a concert and I could clearly hear my partner speaking and the music – he couldn’t hear me but hey ho! Thank you Vibes for making my music experience absolutely perfec

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat product as someone who has got tinitus from concerts I was worried about my ears with future concerts. I used these for a festival with music all day and put them in during the acts and was blown away with how little I noticed having these earplugs in and how good the sound quality was.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI go to a lot of loud rock concerts, and I hate the tinnitus/ringing ears after effects! These earplugs lower the volume significantly, but allow you to still hear the music clearly. I still get a bit of ringing ears with these, but nowhere near as bad as without, and I am yet to find a pair of earplugs that gets rid of it completely. Plus I like the shape of these ones as they are easy to get in and out of your ears, and the storage case is small and convenient to carry.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI just got these going to control my my noise related OCD symptoms. After seeing some reviews relating to them not making any difference, I became sceptical, but thought for the price I’ll give it a go.

First off, people need to understand that these are NOT designed to block noise or entirely. In fact quite the opposite, these are meant to enable you to focus better on the sound that matters without getting distracted or upset by louder or more prominent sounds.

I’m my case I am more able to hear more level, dull sound, like car engines it planes flying over, even my next doors TV, and it really irritates me as it’s all I can concentrate on.

Now I can see that these may not work for everyone’s particular issue. If your problem related to higher pitches, then this may actually make your focus increase more on those depending on what part of the high tone affects you.

I’ve been wearing these for 30 minutes now and the difference is really noticeable. I can still hear everyone (although at a reduced level), but the lower tones I usually hear and other noises which get in the way are lessgone. It’s almost as though if I’m looking at something like the TV, my hearing becomes focused on just that and other sounds are blocked. If I look at my wife talking, the TV becomes less prominent. Admittedly, being able to focus on my wife talking could be classed as a negative affect, so I could argue I should take a star away for that :).

All in all, at least so far, I’m very pleased. I will update this later should me thoughts on the product change.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve had these earbuds a few days now and must say they have been a revelation! I looked at many different options to help me as I have Asperger’s and work in a very noisy office (radio on, people whistling annoyingly, loud conversations about nothing important, etc). Up to now I’ve been using foam earplugs, which are not easy to put in and need to be removed to hold conversations or answer the phone – and they make my ears itch. I looked at active noise-cancelling earbuds but these require you to listen to something else; music, etc. Not being a fan of having music in my ears all day I just wanted something to “turn the volume down” so I can concentrate. Having read the reviews I purchased these but didn’t expect too much given the low price, but now I know they work they are amazing value. I can only summise that those that said they “don’t work” in their review either didn’t have them in properly, or didn’t take the time to fit the correct silicone bud to fit their ears (I had to change them from the middle-size one that came fitted, to the larger one to get a good tight seal). The best analogy I can give regarding the noise-reduction is to equate it to old radios with a BASS and TREBLE control – putting these earbuds in is like turning down the volume control by at least half, but also turning down the TREBLE so that background noises are muffled as well as quieter. I can still hold a conversation with someone at close range or answer the telephone without having to take them out. If I do have to remove them for any reason they pop back in so easily it’s not a problem. I’m overjoyed with these earbuds and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another pair.

I got these mainly to wear at concerts and weddings. They take the edge off the noise a bit, but don’t really impact the quality of the sound – so you can still enjoy the music but just at a slightly lower volume. They are very comfortable but they do stick out slightly from your ears so a couple of people have assumed I’m wearing tiny wireless headphones, but most don’t notice. They come with an excellent mini plastic carry case (about the size of a thumb) which you can carry them around in for convenience.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought these for a few rock concerts I’m going to in an attempt to reduce more damage to my hearing from years of loud music!
They did not negatively affect the sound at all, in fact they helped block out other background noises so I could hear the live music better. This was good for more quiet songs where usually you can hear a lot of other people talking and singing, but this was much more reduced whilst wearing these. The music is definitely not as loud, but it never felt like I couldn’t hear properly and at times forgot I was wearing them.

The only negative is it’s hard to hear yourself properly so I was self conscious I might be talking or singing too loudly!

I didn’t have any ringing or reduced hearing from the loud music after the concert finished, which I usually do, so they must have worked.

When I got back from the concert I stayed in a city centre hotel which was quite noisy, and despite how well they filtered the music in the concert I was surprised to find they work really well as ear plugs to block out noises from outside! I’ve used them since at night a few times and they work very well at blocking out disruptive noise whilst still being able to hear my alarm.

    Really happy with my purchase.

I bought these to reduce noise in loud environments. While they do reduce noise, they do not reduce it as much as I hoped, even after trying all the available sizes. However they still function as earplugs that allow for at least some noise reduction while still allowing voices to be audible meaning you can have conversations with them on. As a result I would recommend these earplugs for people who suffer from sensory overload or hyperacusis.

These are great for removing the irritation of background noise and have helped me sleep a lot better now, while they can’t cut out the sound of a partner snoring they are great for taking the edge off for a more restful sleep. Great that they come with various sizes so you can choose what best suits you, only issue I’ve had is comfort when trying to sleep on my side as the plastic tends to stick out and the scraping noise on the pillow can grate a little.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersFirst off, I’ve seen some reviews from customers complaining that Vibes earplugs don’t block all sound… they would have known this had they bothered to read the descriptions and seen the images prior to purchase. They were designed to reduce the decibels of sound, not eradicate sound completely. Not many earplugs actually eradicate sound completely, for that you need ear defenders, or something called sound block which is like a putty for the ears. Foam plugs also still let some sound in so Idk what kind of miracle they were hoping for. That being said, these have been a bit of a miracle for me.

I’m autistic, and sound has always been an issue for me. Ear defenders help keep the auditory overload from happening, but it then indicates to others that I’m autistic and though that can be helpful, it can also be harmful as we are then exposed as being vulnerable targets. Ear defenders also complicate matters when it comes to communication. I cannot hear what someone tells me or asks of me with my ear defenders on, but if I take them off I still cannot process what they are saying for all the background noise blends in with their voice. Vibes ear plugs bridge the gap. I can wear these to filter the sound, a filter that my brain does not have when it processes sound. By filtering out the unnecessary sounds around me whilst allowing me to still hear people close to me, makes it easier to function.

Supermarkets are one of my biggest nightmares sound wise. The checkout beeps are greatly reduced with Vibes. I still hear them, but they are faint like they are in the distant. I can hold a conversation with a staff member. I can look at the deals and figure out if they are suitable for me and a good deal for my home situation, rather than be overwhelmed with so much sound that I can’t do a simple math equation in my head to figure that information out. Though having ear defenders can help with this, like I said drawing attention to my autism puts me at a vulnerable risk of exposure.

Vibes allow me to enjoy a movie without the sound overwhelming me or the sirens passing by causing distress as I overload. I’ve not tried them anywhere else yet due to Covid-19 rules, just for now, these earplugs are a blessing.

Some people have said they don’t fit right, have fallen out on stage during music performances and are therefore “dangerous” – well the sillicone buds they have on them when they arrive are for tiny children not adults, again it is suggested that you try on with the additional silicone buds in the packet to find your correct fit. Once you have them in they don’t come out easily at all.

There is also a convenient little case that can hold your Vibes Ear Plugs, as well as the alternative size silicone buds too.

The price seems a little steep for these things, however I’m willing to pay it for the amount of relief I have from them and the difference they make in my life. They’ll not be for everyone, as people have their own preferences and sensitivities to consider, so when looking through the reviews to decide on purchasing them or not, just keep in mind that some people clearly did not read the descriptions provided, nor did they see they were designed for musicians, and some didn’t do as instructed. Being a blessing for my ASD auditory processing issues was not what they were designed for, however they have worked well for me. They are so comfortable I barely even notice them in my ears, until I start eating something and can hear my own chewing lol. Don’t take a bad review to mean it’s bad product, most of the time people just butt hurt they didn’t read the description or instructions first and are blaming it on the product instead acknowledging their own mistakes. Pay them no mind. Make up your mind by deciding if they could be right for you.

I just got back to my drum lessons last month after years of not wearing ear protection and need a pair of ear plugs in the studio where the it gets really loud because of the small space. I did a LOT of research and decided on buying a pair from the brand Eargasm recommended by some Youtubers, and I came across these when browsing on Amazon, with half the price of the other I decided to buy these as well as a spare and im so glad I did. These arrived before the Eargasm ones and I took them to my last lesson, when I tried it at home it was easy to put in, and noise reduction was good enough in the studio so I was already happy with them. When the Eargasm pair arrived I found them to be more difficult to get in and out, and double the price, also feeling a little uncomfortable when in the ear(though bearable) so I’m now using these as my main pair and Eargasm ones as my spare.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAmazing high- fidelity earplugs.

I am very sensitive to sound and prone to sensory overload issues. These things make going to restaurants, conferences and general public spaces very challenging.

The Vibes earplugs have given me a new lease of life. I can now enjoy a restaurant meal with family and friends, go shopping in the mall and attend business events, all without feeling like my brain has short-circuited and without painful inner ears and a raging migraine for 24 hours afterwards.

I would recommend these for people with sensory issues and especially for neurodivergent/ non-neurotypical folks who are affected significantly by sound as well as touch. Not only are Vibes great for filtering sound, they are very suitable for sensitive ears. Wax and most foam earplugs bother me, as I find them intrusive and uncomfortable. However, I can walk around for hours with my Vibes in.

The cost of these earplugs is much higher than ordinary sound-blocking plugs. They are not cheap, *but* to be spared sensory overload episodes and physical pain, and be given opportunities to live normally (that I never thought I’d have) make this purchase well worth the additional expense.

I’ve had the earplugs for about 8 months now, and I have to say I’m quite pleased with them. I don’t have to use them to often, luckily, but they’re very practical whenever there’s too loud sounds or too much noise, like in the movie theater, in a big crowd, on the airplane (especially during announcements), or in any confined space with crying or noisy children or other people.
They reduce the volume of everything, which helps tremendously with anything annoying like crying or background noise, but at the same time don’t make it much harder to for instance follow a conversation.
One caveat is their size – it’s easy to loose them, and I’ve actually already lost their container (but luckily not the plugs themselves). Of course this also means that you can easily take them anywhere, even in the pocket of your pants.
One minor nuisance is perhaps that my right ear gets a bit uncomfortable after an hour of usage or so, I might have to experiment with ear piece size, but after five minutes of break it’s good to go again.
All in all I’m very satisfied and will probably replace them if they should get lost!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have sensory processing issues which means I can feel sounds as well as hear them. Noise can give me motion sickness if there’s too much going on around me and it can even cause pain. Every noise around me seems to be the same volume so it’s hard to ignore a ticking clock in a room when someone is talking to me.

These are an absolute life saver at times. Loud noises can trigger anxiety and these help me stay calm and really take the edge off.

They’re comfy enough to wear for an hour or so, but I couldn’t keep them in all day.

I would recommend these for anyone with sensory issues, or people who have to work in loud environments.

They also come with a small storage case, so I can take them anywhere.

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersBought specifically to help this ol’ rocker with tinnitus enjoy a Metallica gig, these buds passed with flying colours. Ok, so I wasn’t in the mosh-pit, but I’m really quite surprised and very impressed that I’m in no post-gig discomfort this morning. My tinnitus is no worse than normal despite being hammered last night.
The pack includes three separate bud sizes which are easily inter-changeable. I wasn’t completely sure if they had been inserted correctly, as they appear to just sit in the outer ear canal. However, this is probably credit to the design, which meant no discomfort or pressure whilst wearing them. I resisted the temptation to ‘head-bang’ with them in tho’!
Testing them, they appeared to reduce the higher tinny frequencies for me – without distorting sound quality – leaving me to enjoy the gig as it should be; still loud but much more manageable.

Golden Review Award: 259 From Our UsersI am on the autistic spectrum (Asperger’s) and have been using vibes for a couple of months now. I wanted to review them after I had been wearing them for a while in different environments.

Vibes dampen noise, but still allow you to hear the conversation you’re having with the person next to you.

When all noises are equally loud around you, and it becomes overwhelming, vibes help to smooth the noise out, so you feel calmer and more in control.

    Supermarkets
The beeping of checkouts can still be heard, but it is less demanding on your senses and more manageable. The general hum of the supermarket and other noises from people is less intense. I often feel like I’m walking around in my own bubble and find the environment much easier to cope with. Sometimes I can even feel relaxed in this environment, with not been constantly assualted by noises. If I’m also wearing sunglasses with my vibes then it’s even better.

    Car
I didn’t use them in my car at first, but I’ve tried them out at times when I know I won’t have the energy to face lots of noise, or when I’m generally feeling overloaded.
They really do calm the road noise and general hum of the vehicle and it feels quite relaxing. When I’m driving with my husband I always have the radio on low volume, and I’m regularly turning it up and down with changes in pitch, or due to sensitivity to certain sounds. Wearing vibes allows me to keep it at a certain level where we can all hear the radio, but due to the noise dampening effects I can cope with it more easily.

    Coffee shops/restaurants
Vives really help with the intensity of the noise produced by coffee machines. The whistling and screeching no longer hurts my ears and head. Again, whilst I can still hear these noises, the effect is greatly lessened as vibes dampen all of the surrounding sound. If music is playing, people are talking and clattering dishes, then these noises are much more muted and easier to cope with. Better still, I can still have a conversation with my husband and I’m not overwhelmed by everything else going on around me.
I can’t eat wearing vibes though as the noise feels too intense.

    General
I feel that vibes are the filter that I don’t have when it comes to noise. Normally I can hear every sound at the same level, regardless of where that sound is coming from. Wearing vibes allows me to concentrate on a conversation, or a task I’m doing, and they filter the noise for me, by reducing the volume and intensity of that noise, so I don’t have to process it.

Vibes are discreet and comfy. I have very small ears and can never wear ear buds as they don’t fit. The smallest interchangable head is the best for me, and they don’t feel tight or restrictive in my ears. I soon forget they’re there.

Nobody can see I’m wearing vibes and so I can get on with my day without any concerns.

A word of warning, when taking vibes out, do this in a quieter environment as the sudden change in noise levels can be quite overwhelming and can easily make you feel nauseous.

A great product, highly recommended. They’re a lifesaver for me.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersI bought these are they are advertised for people with autism spectrum disorder and associated noise sensitivity. For many years I have been using wax earplugs, which apparently block out about 25 decibels, and are excellent for sleeping and studying (and very cheap at 5 pairs for 3 pounds). Nonetheless, I shouldn’t use them when cycling in traffic, as although they block out the sound of cars honking and police whistles, they also block out the sound of approaching cars, so it’s quite a surprise when they overtake me and potentially dangerous. I also can’t really use the wax earplugs when out with my boyfriend, needing to maintain a conversation with him whilst protecting myself from the sound of nearby phones pinging. and loud chatter That’s where the VIBES earplugs have come in. I still prefer the wax ones for sleeping and studying and general quiet, but these VIBES ones help a lot when cycling, in shopping centres or out with my boyfriend. They do provide some all-round reduction of noise, but they provide extra protection for high-pitched frequencies. Basically, noise remains unpleasant but becomes bearable when unavoidable and this has helped me improve my quality of life and mobility. I would still warn against using them for high exposure to noise and expecting everything to be okay though. I used these for an hour in a packed, noisy hospital waiting room and ended up having to leave the hospital becuase the noise got too much. I should’ve remembered the need to protect my brain as much as possible and used the wax ones. So basically, the VIBES ones are very good for some situations, but won’t be appropriate as a stand-alone for all situations.
