It did exactly what it was said on the box, easy to install, and easy to use. It took me about 15 mins from getting my tools to installing. Very strong and sturdy. I have a 47″ on it. Doesn’t even wobble or move on the wall.
Easy to install and keeps the TV close to the wall so very neat and hidden. Well made and easy to install. Definitely worth the money.
A nice low profile when fitted. Easy to fix as all necessary parts are provided.
This is rated for 55″ but has no problem keeping my 65″ up. I’ve no doubt it would hold larger too. Its well made and strong. There’s no flexing at all. It will come out of the wall before letting go so as long as it’s installed properly you will have no issues at all.
Have 1 now on both tvs and both very strong worth the price. Very easy to put together and hang tv
Very impressed for the price. Nearly spent double for a similar product. Very sturdy, the built in bubble level was handy. Easy to install. Used it for a 43inch TV, would be comfortable using it for a larger TV.
The product was very easy to install both onto the wall and onto the back of the TV. The TV we mounted was a 43 inch TV. The TV appears to be very sturdy on the wall. It has been on the wall for a few weeks and seems great. The wall mount holds the TV nicely against the wall. Instructions were nice and simple to follow.
Perfect for my room, tv on chimney, not much tilt but easy to put up
Great bit of kit for a non moving tv bracket. Exactly what I needed, easy to install and it comes with good instructions.
I must say I didn’t use the fixings it came with, but I never do as they just aren’t the best in my opinion.
Also you don’t need a spirit level to get the tv bracket straight, it comes with a little sprit level in the middle and it clicks in so it won’t fall out making it easier to install. I did double check the level with my own and it was straight.
All round great but of kit!
Used to fit a fairly large TV on an internal `studded` wall. The wall bracket was excellent – the success of the installation comes down to the choice of wall fixings. I had good fixing effect with `grip-fix` fastenings. Very pleased overall.
I paid just over 10 for this stand and i have to say Im very impressed as far as TV stands go. Everything is well made and locks into each other well. Comes with all the bolts and mountings you are likely to need.
(Does not come with any TV screws but they should have been supplied with your original TV).
Overall a good sturdy bracket. Instructions could be clearer but you should be able to work it all out.
Wouldn’t trust the level supplied. I used a professional quality 500mm level, then looked at the one attached to the bracket; sure enough, miles out. If you have to use the supplied level, be aware that although it appears to be attached to the bracket, it’s not! So check it’s probably in place. It’s vital to ensure it’s level when mounting on the wall because there is NO vertical adjustment!! Horizontal yes but not vertical. If you don’t get it spot on it will stand out like a sore thumb – and the bigger the TV, the worse it will look.
Other negative was only 4 fixings and not enough washers. I wouldn’t rely on just 4 unless you good solid brick or timber studs. Not sufficient for lightweight blocks, soft brick or timber without studs or noggins. DO NOT USE FOR PLASTERBOARD!!
I needed a wall bracket for a 43 inch for the bedroom. I had previously bought one two years ago from a different supplier for one of the bedrooms and was disappointed in the build quality. I also had to assemble the rectangular wall frame.
With this VonHaus model, the wall frame is a solid piece of good thicker steel supplied with heavy duty plugs and screws.
The TV hangers are also much heavier gauge steel than my other wall bracket and I like the thumb screws that make it easier to adjust the tilt.
I feel a little more at ease now that I’ve mounted it, seeing how strong it is and knowing that the TV will be safe hanging on the wall with the VonHaus bracket.
I bought this to mount my new Samsung 50RU7400 TV on the wall which is brick so I drilled 10mm masonary drill sized holes and used the supplied plugs with my 40mm long coach screws & washers to mount the plate to the wall. To level it I removed the supplied level as others had found it not to be true, I used my own level.
Before attempting to mount the vesa part to my TV I fitted the Samsung supplied spacers and by hand screwed the screws from the mount kit into them until they bottomed out, yes they are too long and will need cutting down to 43-45mm for my TV. Dont cut them too short as they dont screw very far into the tv mount. I suppose if cutting screws down is not for you, you could buy a bag of washers and fit 6-7 on each bolt to spacer it away from the bottom of the hole.
When it came to time to hang the tv on the wall mount I made sure all the cables I wanted to connect were already connected to the tv as space is limited once its on the wall. I also considered fumbling for the bottom pinch screws would be difficult so came up with a trick to screw them up to hold the tv in place. Find 2 bits of tube the are a tight fit on the heads of the 2 screws and are long enough to be visible just below the TV, once hung on the bracket, turn the tubes clockwise until the screws nip up to the wall bracket, then pull the tubes off the screw heads. No need to really tighten those 2 screws as I doubt they will work loose enough to cause any trouble. Someone had a problem with the tv angle adjustment screws breaking the spacers when tightened, I just nipped up the ones with knobs on and didnt adjust the others, this was tight enough to hold my tv in any angle. So a budget mount that works well for the price, I will buy another.
Fairly good for the money, one of the bolts that came with it threaded itself which was unexpected.
If you have a Samsung TV, this kit doesn’t come with the spacers you need so let’s hope you never threw them away.
The gaps in the brackets are too small to use with the gripit 25mm kit which uses M8 bolts.
I have mounted this directly to standard plasterboard using 6 20mm brown gripits, albeit 4 of them were either side of the metal baton.
I would recommend this, especially if you’re mounting to brick as it comes with everything. If you’re going for plasterboard, try get a stud if not try with brown gripits or geefix, I wouldn’t trust anything else.
My TV is only 9kg which doesn’t seem to be effecting the mount in anyway.
Good saving on the high street store prices.
Having bought a previous Von Haus product that left a lot to be desired I was nervous about buying another item under this label. I have to say that quality wise this product was light years ahead of the previous Von Haus product. The tv mount came with all the necessary hardware. For the reason that reviews for this item suggested that the wall plugs were less than useful, I purchased some different 10mm x 50mm wall plugs & screws. Although I chose to use the additional wall plugs & screws, the supplied plugs & screws that arrived with the bracket look up to the job. So back to the mounting bracket. For less than ten pounds for a tilt bracket this represents incredible value. I fitted this bracket to a JVC 40″ smart TV. Fortunately the hardware included 4off spacers for the reason that the TV did not have a flat surface. With the spacers in place the brackets fitted perfectly. Although I used my own spirit level, the built in spirit level was fairly accurate. To summarise, if you are looking for an easy to fit TV wall mounting bracket with all required hardware included, look no further.
First impressions count for a lot and when you receive a box that says ‘economy bracket’ on it is a huge put off. Who wants to hang over a grands worth of TV on something labelled as economy! At least it was like a retail product, printed cardboard box and not just a plain brown box like some.
If you have a 55″ tv like me, this bracket will seem pathetically small. It’s just over 400m wide at the wall late, so a 400×400 vesa pattern leaves you with no play sideways. The bigger up to 60″ is the better buy (I actually did buy that but it was missing a ‘knob’ so it was returned). An engineer mate of mine said it’s still very much up the the job so I cracked on with the install, having already returned 2 other brackets this week.
Installation was a doddle. I removed the inbuilt Bubble from the top of the frame (it just pulls off) because it’s not big enough to trust to be accurate. The arms were easily installed and seem well constructed and solid. The tilt adjustment knobs work well and are a nice touch.
Why not 5 stars? Well, the ‘economy’ branding aside, there are simply not enough screws / fittings to suit a 55″ tv. Samsung particularly, you will need longer screws for sure (m8x40 and 45mm) and the spacers are a single size, which don’t offer any flexibility. So I needed more hardware and some more washers and spacers to get the job done. I know they can’t cater for every install, but a couple of different sized spacers is normally included in my experience of other products and the lack of different m8 bolts is also not the norm.
I have to say though, even though it seems way too small for the job, not giving you the confidence of the bigger brackets out there, it’s up and seems spot on. It’s also got great flexibility on the tilt angles. Just check the dimensions before hand and probably go for the bigger brother for a 400×400 tv.
