Bought these on the 6th of October for 14.99 great price I thought then on Amazon prime days 8th and 9th of October low and behold they were up to 24.99 naughty naughty Amazo
Just replaced my old Phillips clippers with these and what a difference! The cut is so much smoother and the length guides are more solid. Quite heavy clippers but that makes them feel better quality.
Item as described. The colour for the gauges is a fab idea and makes it easy for use. The clippers aren’t too noisy and manageable with a decent length of cord. Plenty of accessories so great value for money. The only thing I would change is to add velcro or something to the cape as when tied it just gets in the way. I will be adding my velcro soon. Great product.
I really like the idea, that the gown to protect the body from hair were sent with it, as it makes so easy to protect the clothes while I am using it. Small brush and oil also was included to make to clean it so easy. Only used 4 times, but does not heat up, so I don’t need to be scared that it will overheat during usage. It has been packed in small box, so I can take with me to my friend’s house as easily fit into my handbag. It’s appearance has been designed to fit easily into my palms, make the haircut so easy. I am so happy with it, also promises long durability.
Good piece of kit. Cut is smooth and equipment robust. Easy to determine combs make the process easier. Good value for money….Have now used several times and would recommend.
Hair trimmers the same as any other. It was purchased with a plug. It contains a collection of cutting heads in different colours.
Fast delivery and was a very good price.
The basic design of this is old — I wouldn’t be surprised if Faraday invented it. But it’s tried and tested. A tried & tested pattern from a brand with a big name in this field, (Something it wants to protect?), and at a very economic price, which is good.
The kit is quite comprehensive in what it contains, and it’s all pretty serviceable.
Am I bothered that these are corded? No, in a way it’s a benefit, the regulation compliant cable is far thicker and more durable than the thin ones that tend to come on chargers.
The big surprise was how incredibly useful the colour coded clip-on heads are — this is no gimmick. I now know that about 20% of the time I used to spend cutting hair was wasted – trying to distinguish between a No1 and No2 etc head, through reading black on black text. Someone clever at Wahl also had the head numbers and their colours permanently printed on the clipper body, an equally smart idea. Over the life of these clippers, the time saving is going to be considerable. And the price – that’s good too.
After having these and testing them out they are pretty well built and seem to be of pretty good quality for the money.
The multi colour clip on heads make it easier to identify the different sizes
Bought these to just tidy up my hair in between hair cuts and they work well. The wire is nice a long so it can reach from the nearest plug socket to my bathroom. They have a minimal and pretty sleek design so they don’t take up too much room although it would have been good if they came with some sort of bag for the accessories.
My only wish is that they came with 0.5 and 1.5 attachments as I have had to purchase them separately.
Gives excellent results when using for cutting/trimming your hair. Nice and sharp so no snagging or clogging. Lots of attachments so you can cut to your preference and includes oil nd brushes so you can keep them clean and lubricated.
Good quality hair clippers
Second one of these we’ve had at home for easily cutting children’s hair.
It is quite loud and heavy vibration but it is a good clippers and gets the job done
Cuts well. Powerful motor. Looks smart too. All the
accessories are useful too. You also get a cape to catch
hair. It’s great that Wahl actually think about the customer.
Comes with a basting brush….I mean keyboard cleaning brush
……nope….. it’s actually a neck cleaning brush.
Good value for money.
Vibrates quite a lot during use. Definitely more than I expected.
Though this did not affect performance for me.
It’s quite heavy too, which can be tiring. Especially since you
have to run it several times over your bonce, to level the hair.
Switching hands helped with this.
Wahl need to halve the hair cut guides included with this.
Who cares about 0.5cm more or less. And use the money saved
to dampen the vibration.
I was expecting this Wahl clipper to be good and to be honest, it really cut through the hair with no trouble at all. The guides are really easy to clip on and off and the colour coding is great if you tend to only cut one length, because then you will remember that it is ‘that’ colour without having to put your glasses on and hold the guide up to the light at an angle to see the number every time.
As our cordless clipper appears to be coming to the end of their usefulness, when I saw these at this price, I thought, why not. But I had failed to realise that they were corded – so do remember this if you are thinking of buying them. I didn’t send them back when I realised this because our old clippers got so bad that we had to keep them plugged into the charger when using them anyway, so it made no difference.
The other thing to be mindful of is that there is no adjustment arm or any fancy gadgets on this clipper. There is a pivoting on/off switch and that’s it. There was one other thing that took me by surprise a little and that was the vibration that I felt in my hand as I was using it. I’m no clipper expert, but I suppose that the stronger the electric current / blade action, the more vibration it will have. I think if I had to use this all day, I might eventually have a problem with my hand but, the fact that that the Wahl was more powerful than our old cordless clippers meant that the cut took half the time of normal, so didn’t have to handle it for very long.
Along with the clipper and coloured guides, in the pack there was also a comb, a pair of scissors, a brush for sweeping hair off the neck, a plastic cape and a small bottle of maintenance oil and brush. The scissors should only really be used for thin paper, but everything else worked as they were supposed to, even though they were of very basic quality.
Overall, this clipper was quite inexpensive considering that it was a Wahl, but the basicness of everything also reflected that price. As a clipper itself, it worked really well, so I really can’t fault that. If you want a stylish tool with whistles and bells, and the ability to wave it around like you just don’t care, this clipper is not for you. 😉
