I bought this product in 2014 and it has just stopped working in 2024. It does everything you want it to, however the attachments are held on the blade using two plastic nib’s which WILL break after regular use.

Hi I have used an expensive waterproof beard trimmer for the past few years with a fancy display etc. When it broke I replaced it with a cheap and cheerful wahl, which although not waterproof, is better. It takes half the time to trim my beard now. Don’t waste your money, get one of these!

Bought this for my bf, he’s had the same brand before so wanted to stick with it. It’s good, but it is quite loud. Not the end of the world as it’s not like it’s on all the time, but is something to take into consideration. Lots of attachables which is great, and he loves the comb. All in all its inexpensive and does the job he wants it to do, so can’t complain!

This is my second purchase of these amazing trimmers, not through the first being ineffective, i dropped the charging port and snapped the cable, They will shave damn close without a guard and do not nick the skin, the battery lasts forever and they have a good heft to them, They are Wahl so you get the years of quality from a very well known professional brand. I kept the original clippers as I always intended to find a charge cable, but now I will always have a set fully charged, Just wipe clean and apply a little oil to the blades(supplied) and they will last you a lifetime

This is a well made trimmer but it’s very noisy! If I have one complaint it would be the lack of combes supplied, it would benefit from a couple more. Very compact and the charge lasts a very long time. Great buy for the price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHaving recently decided to grow a beard and handlebar moustache (8 weeks in and it’s just about at its prime!) I was in need of a new beard and moustache trimming device as my old one had finally given up the ghost. So, what should I go for? I’ve got some Wahl hair clippers and they’ve serviced me well for about 15 years (with a lot of TLC) so thought I’d try them for my beard trimmer also – and I am very glad I did!

This beard trimmer does look a little cheap and plastic but is solid enough and does a really good job, It comes with a lot of accessories – apart from the trimmer itself it comes with a port in which you can house it whilst not using it and a mains recharging unit, then you get four shaver head accessories which allow many different lengths of hair (in fact 9 in total), a comb, a brush to clear out your hair debris from the trimmer and some fluid to oil your clipper blades.

It does a really good job – I have used it on my beard and moustache – oh and my sideburns. The only thing I don’t like 100% with it is that it is VERY noisy so when you are clipping hair near your ears it can be a little painful on the old eardrums!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought this tinkering with abit of ‘growth’ want to balance a beard/stubble and needed to manage it without commiting to a major outlay, in case the look wasn’t for me. WAHL being a recognised brand at 13 quid seem to tick the boxes for me.

When it arrived, 2 days later at standard delivery, after a couple of uses I’m happy with it.

    Pros
+ price, a lot of reviews say this performs as well as 30+ trimmers, seems like it to me.
+ nice look, light weight to hold.
+ plenty of adjustable heads, to meet different beard lengths, from short close stubble to 12mm.
+ seems to have plenty of charge, haven’t needed to put it on again yet (did an overnight 1st charge as reccomended).
+ uk style plug charger houses the two pin euro, so no need for any converters to charge, anywhere.

    Cons

    – mounting base and it’s fitting/head holding features is barely fit for use. Got rid of that instantly.
    – it looks chrome metal, for the money you obviously don’t get that, so you have cheap chrome style plastic (lightweight at least). Styled like it should feel weighty like proper chrome bodied trimmers.
    – heads and attachments feel like if pressed or clipped on the wrong way, they would break easily. Plastic on these could be better.

The price makes all the difference. This is virtually disposable. So you can ignore the tacky silver finish and the Xmas-cracker accessories, the cheapo stand that only sort-of holds the accessories in place. What surprised me was the sturdy cutting head that feels much more professional than the Babyliss I had before that was useless and failed after a few months. This Wahl works much better. Once I’d figured out for myself how to attach the adjustable head (the microscopic multi-language instructions are useless), I realised that it does a pretty efficient job. I haven’t tried the other attachments yet since getting them on and off is no pleasure and they’re so flimsy-feeling they are almost certain to snap if you do it too often. Well, maybe not. Who knows?
Oh, and you get a tiny bottle of oil for the blades, which is a nice touch. This fits into its own slot in the stand.
I doubt this would stand up to power clipping or hair cutting, but for a bit of detail tidying up, I reckon this works well and is great value. I do wonder how long the attachments will last though. (UPDATE OCT 2014: this must be sturdier than I thought because it’s still intact and working perfectly after more than three years. Definitely a good buy.)
