1% FOR THE PLANET

Weleda is committed to the protection of orangutans threatened with extinction. That is why Weleda donates 1% of Amazon sales to our project partner BOS Deutschland e.V. With BOS, we create valuable habitat for orangutans through reforestation and sustainable community development.

At the heart of BOS is the protection of almost 300,000 hectares of peat swamp rainforest. It is home to over 2500 orangutans – one of the largest remaining wild populations in the world. However, parts of this rainforest have been cleared for rice plantations. As a result, moorland soils are drying out, the orangutans’ habitat is being destroyed and fires are regularly starting. This releases large amounts of CO2 and endangers the biodiversity in this unique ecosystem. BOS is reforesting the rainforest to preserve the orangutans’ natural habitat: helping orangutans means helping people and nature.

I have super sensitive skin and use this for myself. It’s amazing! Moisturising and no sensitivity issues

Tube is a bit small and I find I’m using a lot of it. Other than that its nice on my skin and does the job. Would just like a bigger tube really

I always return to this face cream for my toddler…It moisturises her skin beautifully in the morning before I apply her suncream.

I tried to use the Weleda calendula face cream, but it smelt too much like her nappy cream! I don’t want her face smelling like that all day…

Sadly, the novelty of this product means it does add up every year, as opposed to using supermarket own brands.

My baby has eczema and this cream works great for his skin. It won’t clear eczema if that’s what you are looking for. It is a great moisturizer and soothes irritated skin nicely.

I am so glad I purchased this. My 9month old son has dry patches on his face, I’m guessing from being snotty at times and dribbly. I tried Aveeno and E45 and they didn’t clear it up (also Aveeno is not animal friendly). Well worth the money!!

I purchased for my little one as skin so dry. I wanted something natural with minimal ingredients. This has worked well. A little tick but I rub in my hand first time loosen up, warm up and then apply to baby.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have ocular rosacea, the skin around my eyes reacts to so many creams but seems to tolerate this one. It does leave a shiny finish so I stopped using it for my whole face but it’s a must for my eyes.

This product was absolutely fantastic! I used it on my 6 week old son who had seriously dry skin, especially on his cheeks. After 3 days his skin was totally different and back to being baby smooth. 100% reccomend!!

I’d been using Burts Bee Baby for my LOs dry skin/dribble rash but did not see a huge difference. Tried this and the next day baby’s skin was soft – the dryness had disappeared. By the second application, he was pretty much back to normal. Smell is ok – not amazing but not too bad either. Will be buying the lotion too now.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI cannot even begin to describe how amazing this cream is for our 12 month old. It’s brought me to tears, of sheer relief, as it’s made his skin so soft and bearable – others have noticed too. We’ve even been able to keep his scratch mitts off for most of the day.
He’s had bad eczema on his face and head since 3 month old. Tried all the usual prescribed ointments- cetraben, emulsifying ointment, can’t remember all the others: there’s been loads. Also tried beeswax and other natural ones, but they’ve not helped. Hydrocortisone or Fucidin have helped when really bad, but didn’t want to keep relying on these. We’ve also been on a food elimination diet, swapped to hypoallergenic milk, and can’t seem to find a pattern to know what’s triggering it.
We’ve been using this stuff for about 3 days now. For all it’s not gone, and we know it won’t, we’re managing it much better – even contemplating taking him swimming (in a chlorinated pool) which we’ve not dared do before now, and it’s just so exciting!!

The is the only cream without hydrocortisone that will keep my daughter eczema at bay. It is so good that I use it on all her body. It is a bit costly though but I just know it works for her. It really hydrate her skin compare to other cream that only seems to stay on the surface without penetrating the skin.

I have been dealing with eczema and or dermatitis on my face for 7 years. My skin peels constantly and is red and scaly. This is the only non prescription cream that has ever worked on my face. It is so soothing and will not irritate your skin. I have tried many other baby creams before on my face and they have all caused a reaction. I’ve never written a review for any product before, just had to say something in case there are other adults out there in need of relief.

Great cream for babies very dry skin but the only thing is the smell it has a strong alcohol smell to it but it’s brilliant on dry skin even I use it for myself as well as on my little one

My newborn had awful exchema on his face and head, very dry, red and sore. A full tube of this had totally cleared it up. Saved us from having to use medicated creams. I have now bought the body cream and so far so good

I use this as a facial cream and I must say it is one of the best from this brand that I have tried so far. I used to buy the scent free facial cream for sensitive skin, but this one seems to have the exact texture and effect, only is it cheaper and more content per tub. But seriously no difference at all to the almond facial cream when it comes to the quality except from the price, as they probably can’t charge as much for a baby lotion.
As I have extremely dry skin I usually make it even richer by adding a few drops of avocado oil and mixing it on by hand before applying it in the face. Very comfy as a night cream

Can’t recommend this highly enough. My 12 week old baby started developing baby eczema – he had very dry arms but it was also on his side’s, cheeks, legs and had very red backs of his knees.

His cream worked so well on his face that I decided to try it on his body too and wow what a transformation, his lovely soft skin is back.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy now 17 month old child developed really bad eczema at around 3 months of age. He had it worse on his cheeks which became infected and drs prescribed steroid creams and other creams. The steroid creams would work but as soon as I stopped it the eczema would come back straight away and I knew steroid cream was not a long term solution for my baby’s sensitive skin .
I WISH I had discovered this first because it would have saved me a lot of time and money as the other creams prescribed and bought did not work until I came across this one. I haven’t had to use any steroid cream on his face for 5/6 months and I’m still using it on his face every day. I’m honestly soooo grateful for this cream. Please please please give it a try! I was hopelessly looking for something for my baby and now his face is completely cleaarr! Unfortunately, the body lotion didn’t work for my baby, though it might work for your child so give that a go too and see how it is. However the face cream is literally a GODSEND.

I never write reviews but hope this can help another mother. My new baby had terrible dry skin / excema on her face – it came on so quickly and the skin was cracking and bleeding in places. I was so upset to see her like that. The doctor prescribed an ointment which seemed to make it worse. I tried this cream after loving the weleda nappy cream. The face cream was amazing – within 2/3 days her skin is smooth and soft and healed. A wonder cream! I highly recommend it and hope this review can help another mother.

I bought this as my dermatitis had flared up horrendously after using a certain brand of makeup. My skin was bright red and blotchy all over my face. Through using this on days off, the almond facial lotion under make up and the calendula nappy cream at night, my skin got back into shape within a week and a half. This cream made the most difference to my skin. The smell is slightly unpleasant but if it’s loaded with natural ingredients, the main thing is the cream’s result. I bought multiple of this after using it a few times as it is just so comfortable on my skin and took the redness, irritation, uncomfortable feeling out of it straight away. My new favourite skin moisturiser. Don’t think you’ll find a bad Weleda product, they are all so good and do what they promise!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI can feel coconut in it. We love using Weleda product. Previously we used Weleda camomile for face cream. That one was very thick and bit hard to apply, but definitely protect from cold and windy weather. However, this white mallow facial cream option is much lighter and much easier to apply to skin. I would suggest it for sensitive skin. But not really sure about the protection during cold weather. My kids prefer this one to compare the chamomile version.

I suddenly developed rosacea over the winter and read about this product being the best moisturiser for it. That article was so right! I have been so upset that my lovely skin was ruined by this awful disease, tried a ton of very expensive products to try and keep it calm and hydrated, and this is the only one that works. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAbsolutely fantastic results on baby eczema. I have tried Sudocream, zeroderm, aquaphor…all without improvement.

Used this product and on the first day I noticed a massive improvement on my 3 month old face, my husband noticed as soon as he got home too. One day in and his face is softer, less dry and no visible signs of eczema. Plus point is that ot is not greasy at all like the aqueous creams.

Would highly recommend to anyone trying to treat baby eczema. I also read online that this is popular with celebrities also.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been searching far and wide for the perfect face cream. I’ve tried expensive ones, mid-range ones and cheap ones, bearing in mind I only want to use the very simplest and purest creams with natural ingredients. Well hallelujah, I think I may have found the one. This cream is very moisturizing, soothing and calming. I am impressed as I’ve tried so many. The price is ridiculously cheap too. you don’t need a lot just a very small amount. I am prone to breakouts and have very sensitive skin and this cream is perfect for me. Just one more thing it is good under makeup, a bit shiny but a dusting of mineral veil powder will do the trick

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLight, gentle and moisturising that doesn’t make your skin greasy or flare up any of my many skin conditions listed below. Real wonder stuff if you have sensitive skin and you are looking to streamline your face care routine.
I have real problem skin with rosacea, seborrhic dermatitus, hyper-sensitivity, dryness and mild adult acne. I have been on a quest to find a moisturiser that would help tackle the above. I am of the opinion that less is more and natural and no chemicals is also very important. I have chosen Weleda as my brand of choice. I had previously used their almond moisturiser but I found that too rich. I now use this in the day and Weleda almond facial oil at night to combat the winter dryness and my skin is looking the best it has done in ages.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI use this for my dry face skin. (not for baby!) It really nourishes but doesn’t leave your skin greasy. It goes well with most foundations as a make up base. However, it can make your foundation a bit cakey! So not the best make up base depending on your foundation. (it did work quite well with some of my foundations to be honest) If applied with a little bit of oil it prepares the skin quite well for pretty much any foundation. All in all a great cream with very good ingredients and at a great price. If you have got a very dry skin or mature skin you should go for it! Not as luxurious as Neal’s Yard rose balm or Antipodes’ avocado and pear cream but at this price more than happy!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this after my 6 week old developed eczema which became infected. He has been on antibiotics and a cream prescribed by the dr. The cream caused him to scream in pain each time I used it! I switched to using Weleda calendula baby cream which made a visible difference within an hr. I then ordered this to try too. It has made a huge difference. His crusty, sore and inflamed face is almost back to baby smooth skin after just a day. He seems to like it when I apply it too. Fingers crossed it keeps working for us!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis cream is amazing. My baby developed infantile eczema at 6 weeks. The doctor prescribed Zerobase but this made it worse. They told me to keep at it but I decided to stop using it. I tried Aveeno Eczema cream and Diprobase and they helped but didn’t cure it completely. Also tried Epaderm ointment and this was a bit thick for her face, she kept scratching it and it made her face quite messy. Finally, I tried this cream based on the reviews and applied it constantly throughout the day, the next morning her skin had completely cleared up. I’m so happy!

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersIf like me you were desperately looking for something for your baby with eczema that worked other than steroid creams then I would definitely recommend this cream. My poor baby boy started suffering with eczema on his face from about 3 months old. The doctor told me that as I had asthma as a baby my children would be more susceptible to have allergies like eczema. The doctor had also prescribed many different creams such as aveeno, epadrem, centraben and i had also tried diprobase and oilatum but everything seemed to irritate his skin even more. The only thing that worked was a mild steroid cream but once I stopped using it his skin flared up again. I even just put coconut oil on for a while as it didnt irritate his skin but didnt provide enough moisturisation and his skin was so dry and flaky every morning. He was constantly scratching it and cutting his wee face. I did a bit of research online and found this stuff and it is amazing! I still have to continue to apply it but it doesnt irritate his skin and his skin feels lovely and soft again after just one week. I have since bought the body lotion as well and its just as great as he has also developed small patches of dry skin on his arms and legs. Love that this product is totally natural and is so gentle on his delicate skin. Would love if they done a shampoo and bath cream in the white mallow range. Hopefully it works as well for others as it has for us. I really do think it’s a miracle cream!

Originally purchased this for my now 4 month old daughter wanting a natural cream with no nasties. I tried it first myself during pregnancy and having used every premium and mid range brand under the sun I now wouldn’t use anything else.
I use it as my night cream and when I wake in the morning my skin stills feels protected and soft.
My daughter developed 2 patches of eczema about the size of a 50p coin on her cheek bone near her ear. On day one the redness was gone and on day two so was the dryness. Highly recommended and so reasonably priced!

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis cream is brilliant. I use it for myself as I have extremely sensitive skin with sore patches of eczema on my face. I have tried normal ‘adult’ moisturisers on my face which just happen to exacerbate the problem. I did some research into natural products which don’t include Sodium Lauryl Sulphite (SLS) and came across the Weleda range. I decided to try this cream even though it is labelled for babies. This cream is fantastic, it soothes when I put it on and helps keep my skin soft. My eczema is still red and sore but I am hoping that if I carry on using this it will at least tone down the redness. I’m not expecting a miracle cure as I have eczema in other places and it flares up in the winter anyway. If you have a similar problem to me then I really recommend you try this cream! While its pricey, I didn’t mind paying because the relief it brings to my skin is more than worth it and with it being so thick it will definitely last a while.

A side note to anyone with eczema, if you don’t know, try searching for products without SLS or SLES as they are both known irritants to eczema and as they are usually in the majority of shower gels, bath creams, toothpastes, shampoos, washing powders etc it can be especially difficult to stop the problem! For years I was using these on my skin without realising that these were causing the issue.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersWe have been using this cream and the Weleda Mallow Lotion for about 4 weeks. So far these are the only moisturisers that work on our 8 month old, who has had baby eczema for about 3 months. Already having tried lots of other natural creams and lotions, including the other Weleda baby range ‘Calendula’ plus also the Neal’s Yard Baby Lotion but everything was too perfumed, especially on the face.

Actually we found all the Calendula based creams to irritate his skin and be very drying even the plain sesame oil and calendula extract (possible Ragweed issue), plus some of the range has Lanolin in which we are avoiding. I do realize that they might work well for others but as far as we have experienced this is the best.

Have been applying just to the sore areas on face as often as they become dry. Has a rich consistency which is easy to smooth on, even over very rough skin where it tends to sit for a while then absorbs after a couple of minutes. Not scented and has a mild kind of herbal aroma, not unpleasant. A little goes a long way, though if applying regularly a tube can get used up quite quickly. It is expensive but in our case worth it as really helps at moment. Quite difficult to find in shops, sometimes if we run out before ordering again have found in bigger Boots branches and some health food stores.
