Absolutely Brilliant multi tool, made by the top manufacturer WOLF.
If your thinking about adding a vital tool to your tool box, this is a MUST.
Found damp in my caravan and I needed a tool to cut out rotten timber but found more jobs for it whilst rebuilding the timber framework. This is a cheap tool but don’t let the price put you off. Comes with a selection of blades, scraper and sanding pads. I’m happy with my purchase.
Great value piece of kit.. Easy use, prompt delivery Thanks
Did the job perfectly definitely a good tool to have.
Noticed that the date of manufacture was 2021 so it may be end of line but thats not a problem. May explain the very competitive price. I bought it to do a specific tricky job and it did with ease despite being only 250w. Very pleased with my purchase.
I’ve done lots of DIY jobs from cutting wood, sanding, removing tile grout. Only thing I can fault is it doesn’t come with a metal cutter I had to buy that separately and it is a little bit on the heavy side for me
Used it to cut out part of fitted unit and then refit a new WC. Cut through wood, ceramic and pipes, all in difficult access areas.
I’ve seen different branded tools that do the same job at twice the price.
Loved the cutting accessories included and the variable speed.
It’s a cheaper version of a multi tool, don’t expect it to compare massively to something 3 times the price, but it does most DIY jobs pretty efficiently.
Noisy and vibrates, would not like to use it for a long time.
Bought this to replace the same model which I burnt the motor out on – only had it a year or so, but its seen a lot of action and has had a very tough time. And for the 40 or so it cost the first time, I’m not disappointed given the service it saw before dying. Still pretty good value compared to DeWalt/Makita which are probably way tougher but also way more expensive.
For the money, pretty good for the home DIY-er and I wish I’d known these tools existed way before I did – extremely useful for all sorts of job and a massive time-saver all round.
Bought for meas a Christmas present and I had my 1st chance to use it yesterday.
The first thing that struck me was it didn’t come with a case or bag , the second was it was a lot heavier than I thought it would be.
That said it did the job I required very well even if the weight of it did make it a little awkward to handle.
Seems to be a solid tool for the money. I’ve no need for a quick release mechanism for the various tool bits as I will only be using it for DIY purposes. It remains to be seen how well it will last, but I’ve used Wolf tools in the past & they have been really tough
Bought this for a very specific purpose: to slice between tiles in a shower, and through the false wall behind to reach hidden plumbing. It did the job very well, and I’ve since used it for a few other things as well.
My only concern is that the attachments are kept in place by very small lugs on the main plate. If they fail then the whole tool will fail. That shouldn’t happen, but you need to be VERY sure that the lugs have locked in, or they will get damaged. I’m guessing that’s the reason some people have reported problems.
I wanted the device to cut slots in the door frame to fit some locks and wasn’t keen on using chisels. I practiced for a short time on some scrap wood to get a feel on how it worked and then I was like a ‘chippy’ possessed cutting slots out of door frame with abandon.; it could be easier. Great bit of kit with a good range of tools….buy one or be a chiseller!!
It works very well as a detail cut and trim into wood and also in my case awkward to reach copper pipes, hard against floor boards. It vibrated more than I expected in hand, needs a firm grip – I read it as oscillating more like a sonic device as it’s more obvious than this. But cust well with appropriate blade.
Had a few 18 inch floor tiles that I needed to ‘de-grout’ the grout was harder than concrete and manual removal (I tried) was not working and might have damaged the tiles. This did the job but it needs to be said that it was fairly slow going about 5 – 7 minutes per tile. So, if you have a lot of tiles to do, not sure if this is the best option. Next job is going to be cutting some wooden flooring…
I have just finished cutting the bottom 10mm from my skirting board to fit some wood flooring with this thing…….its bloody brilliant what a bargain. The blade still has loads of life left in it and I must have cut at least 20 meters with it. If your planning to fit wood flooring get this, cut the bottom off your skirting with it and slide your flooring under it. It looks better than beading and at this price cheaper than beading.
This tool is so versatile on plenty of jobs ,I bought this tool to help me cut 3mm mdf for modelling purposes the cutting disc cuts clean and quickly the sanding head is Olso very handy for finishing up my jobs ,very pleased with tool -well worth the money and it could cope with heavier jobs with ease changing the heads is quick and easy just removing a Allen bolt changing tool then tightening up bolt then away you go!!
On the negatives, hence the 4 stars. Firstly, it doesn’t come with a bag. Not a major thing, but I would have paid a few extra pound for it to have some sort of storage facility for the unit and all the attachments. Secondly, the sanding pads doesn’t last much longer than a minute before the Velcro attachment on the back of the pads gives way. This means you can go through 3 or 4 pads before even the simplest sanding job is completed. It may be fine with better quality pads of course.
Overall, very happy and would recommend
So far it has proven to be a great tool especially for fitting a laminate floor and undercutting architraves etc.
