3D mitre angle
The 3D mitre angle provides optimum support when taking measurements and making markings on three-dimensional workpieces like beams and pipes. It greatly simplifies measuring and transferring dimensions, and lets you continue markings around corners quickly and accurately.
What measurement scales are on the 3D mitre angle?
It has a centimetre and angle scale for free angles from 0-90°. It also has two different limit stops for 45° and 90° angles. The drill guide lets you quickly determine the diameter of a drill bit and read it off directly.
Can I use it to draw parallel lines?
Yes, the 3D mitre angle is ideal for use as a marking gauge. The right angle means that it lies flat against the workpiece and can be guided precisely over the entire length.
Why is the 3D mitre angle made of plastic?
The 3D mitre angle is made of high-quality plastic; this makes it light, durable and robust and gives the best value for money.

wolfcraft 3D Mitre Angle.
Another quality but afford tool from Wolfcraft. This mitre is so useful. The plastic construction is nice and solid. However I wouldn’t recommend just throwing it in your tool box. I imagine it could break or deform if rattling around with other heavier tools.
I’ve used this to mark up and saw a number of 50*75mm cross section timbers for building a garden shelter and large picnic table. Really pleased with the results. One photo is of one of the corner braces, the other of part of the table – I’m not a carpenter!
I don’t know how I used to work before without this. Awesome little device that helps in woodworking without a fault.
I didn’t realise how much I needed it until I started using it.
Made of very sturdy material. However does need a typical round profile pencil, as the flatter wider pencils don’t tend to fit the cut outs.
Awesome item, I’m sure I’ll be using it for years to come.
Quite sturdy and strong plastic tool. Looks ideal for achieving correctly marked angle of 45. The variety of different holes look ideal for either marking drill positions or could be used to draw a line, by putting pencil point into the correct hole and sliding down length of wood or use the edge of tool if suitable. Have yet to use it but it is a handy bit of kit to have in the toolbox
I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and find it very helpful. Great for measuring, drawing angles for mitres, etc. All the units and angles seem to be correct and, despite being plastic (which is reflected in the price) it seems reasonably sturdy.
My only criticism that drops it down from 5 to 4 stars is that the holes on the measuring gauge are a little too large and so when using it to draw a line you have to be careful to keep the pencil / scriber in the same place or you get a wobbly line. Fine for general carpentry when you have a little bit of leeway for accuracy, but no good for any fine woodwork where a single millimeter out is a big problem.
I never noticed in the description that it said it was plastic but it did say so. In any case, I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and it works fine and is plenty accurate enough for the majority of joinery and carpentry.
Because it is plastic it is not suitable for use with a knife edge for marking out but it never claimed to be..
This is an accurate well designed tool and does the job well. However, being made of plastic I doubt if it is sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of a workshop. It is good but should have been made of metal in my opinion.
I could spend hours talking about the wonders of this product. You should check their presentation video on YouTube.
What else can I say that that video doesn’t?
Build is sturdy, the plastic is very hard.
All cyphers are embedded and not printed, so they won’t fade with use.
Price is very good.
So it is a must buy for the occasional DIYer and the professionals alike
I think it a good sign when one reaches for a specific tool often. It’s an indictment of usefulness.
It’s a fast way of transferring a square to other sides of sawn wood (eg a 2 x 4)
This angle is accurate, light, easy to use and the split-distance scribing holes are excellent.
I used this mitre angle for marking angles on 2×2 timber studs so quite useful and accurate,it’s made from a sturdy plastic so if it drops it won’t break. There are many other uses for it but I haven’t utilised them as yet.
I don’t know if I’ll use all of the features of this item but the numerous times I’ve used it so far it’s been great. Scoring a line (accuracy?) across timber has been so easy and massively time saving, not to mention drawing a line on 2 faces at the same time. For the price this is a worthwhile addition to any DIY toolbox.
its cheap and does the job BUT being plastic durability in well a used environment may be an issue, but if you only get it out twice a year then fine. An aluminium version would cost 15 so.
Whilst I can see the use of the Mitre Angle, might I suggest that some form of written information would have been handy. The (considerable) amount of cardboard that accompanied the tool could have been used for this if Wolfcraft couldn’t be bothered to send out written instructions. I may be wrong but I couldn’t even find instructions on their website. If someone spots this, I’d be grateful for a link.
I like this product a lot, it was pricey and cheaper ones may be as good but I had not used one before so went for a known brand. I have used it a lot and it is better than a marking gauge. Very easy to use and marking can be very clear by using a good pen! So glad I bought this product.
Item is plastic so a bit flimsy, be careful when drilling you can easily damage it ruining its accuracy. Has lots of different settings, best to mark positions using a pencil and the scale, then drill using a brad point drill carefully centred.
Repaired a bedroom door frame, as was broken long ago, so I did a 45degree cut to slice out an old broken part. Re-fitted the same size again same 45degree both sides. And this did the trick. I like that’s it#s plastic didn’t see the need to a metal unit, as this has many other uses. Be sure to watch the video as the angles you can get are very helpful.
I Purchased this item and it arrived very quickly , it is a very handy tool , although the markings are a bit hard to see if there is a glare on the tool but it is perfectly useable . This is a work bench tool , it would not last in a tool bag or tool box . I am pleased with the tool and the service from Amazon excellent as usual . thank you.
Great little tool for the price. Easy to use and accurate, makes marking angles and straight lines easy. Ideal for the DIYer but how it would last in a tool bag with other tools that are used regularily, I’m not so sure as it is made of sturdy plastic and may be damaged easily. However time wil tell but I believe the quality of such a useful tool would be better if it was made od stainless steel or aluminum.
Good value, useful for marking out hole centres etc, particularly on steel sections and 4×2 , 3×2 cls timbers. The 45 degree mitre edge is only handed one way, however, slots are provided for 30, 60, and 45 degrees on both planes which I can see the benefit of, despite preferring a full edge. The array of holes is easy to use and accurate.
The graduations are in metric / mms only, which I prefer, although some of the raised graduation marks were marred slightly , but still readable, probably a quality control oversight, which disappointed somewhat. Overall, very pleased with this purchase.
