I used these and may others to do a Neck Reset on an old Spanish Guitar But these where a lot easier to use and I will be purchasing a pew more in thee near future thank you
Great tool to have. I’m a DIYer and have used them for months now for cabinets, bench seats and planters. Easy to use they are a game changer. Perfect size for clamping most things.
I needed some heavy duty clamps to hold wood when cutting with a circular saw. I was very impressed. Well made and heavy duty grip. Didn’t move the wood while cutting or the jig for a straight cut. I’ve bought several more clamps from workpro, definitely value for money.
I had a problem with a plastic strip that had come away from the bottom of the inner side of the kitchen door. It had been bothering for a long time. My husband has clamps but they were far too heavy for me to control them. Within a week of them arriving I had cleaned/glued/clamped the plastic to the bottom of the door. I am very pleased with the results and keep looking for anything else that has come loose so that I can use them again.
If you’ve not tried these I suggest you consider buying them. I’ve bought several sizes now and find them really useful. Can be used single handed which makes it very easy to holding something and clamp at the same time.
I’m a DIY-er , not a tradesman. Up till now I’ve only bought Irwin clamps – I only bought these as a backup to for the odd occasion I might need some extra. But I find myself reaching for these first now because they don’t pinch your finger when you release them (unlike the Irwin quick-change 300mm ones). Other than that, they are solid enough for my needs
I now have eight of these clamps and they are just wonderful – so easy to set, and they clamp easily and release with a click. My twist clamps now just hang up and never get used at all! Brilliant!
Purchased four clamps and used to help put together kitchen units. Easy to use and sturdy design. Rubber pads protect vulnerable surfaces when clamping units together. Easy release mechanism, can be operated single handed whilst ensuring alignment. Very pleased and good value for money.
I just received these today but having seen them in the flesh it’s quite clear they are every bit comparable if not better made than the equivalent Irwin ones I already own and use daily, so would gladly recommend. Specifically they are well moulded, and have an edge in the design of the moulding perhaps, and a very slightly firmer plastic even than the big boys. The handles are pleasingly strong, which I have found in the past to be a weak point with ratchet action clamps like this, handles breaking off etc.
The quick release spreader feature is excellent and I expect should come in rather handy. Looks well designed and robust, and is a feature not offered at all by the Irwin clamps.
As far as this type of clamp goes, the clamping pressure is quite adequate for pretty robust use, such as even holding router templates and such things which really want to be clamped hard enough to not move. These clearly have a similar clamping pressure to the Irwins so I expect no trouble. They do have a larger pad area on the jaw which seems well fashioned and larger than the Irwins too, which is nice.
So all in all what looks like an excellent clamp. However, the price point is odd, since I realised after ordering these that I could pick up a pair of equivalent Irwins in toolstation for 25% less cost for the pair. Which I did also just do as it happens… mid clamp buying binge. At first I was expecting to be faced with the moral decision of returning them (and what happens with those items thereafter…) but having seen them I will gladly keep them, since they appear well made and have more features than the Irwin clamps. So it’s all good.
