Less powerful than my petrol chainsaw, so generally takes longer to make the same cuts. But really easy to use! Push a button instead of having to yank a pull cord. Batteries soon run down when cutting tree trunks into rounds, so it’s best to have a couple of spare batteries that can be charged while the chainsaw is being used. Then work is almost continuous. I find this saw ideal for lopping branches off a tree I’ve felled with the petrol version.
Excellent tool simple to operate ideal for the occasional user.
I needed a powerful chainsaw to cut down some dead Ash trees at the bottom of my garden. My 2 stroke Sthit was only 2 years old, but its getting hard to start and I am always forgetting to buy the 2/ oil, plus its noisy and frightens away the wildlife. The Worx tool is just as good as my old saw, almost silent and by having twin batteries, can last almost as long as a tank of fuel. Its light to use with instant torque , and I feel I have more control over it than my petrol one. I now have about 30 different Worx tools, all using the same battery system, so i always have 6 batteries on charge or ready to take with me, which it easier than lugging fuel. With 6 batteries, I can use it for over an hour of constant cutting, as a twin pack lasts about 20 mins before swapping. Their branch lopping tool is also brilliant, as are their electric saws and hedge cutters.
Seems like a good machine – my neighbour approves anyway. I can’t use it due to the safety feature which actually makes it more dangerous for left handers!
Had this for about 2 year now, also have the worx cordless strimmer that i swap the batteries with, love them both brilliant, never let me down. I have a huge back yard and I can get it about 90% done, could finish if I rushed. To sum it up amazing strimmer best I’ve had yet.
I thought long and hard before purchasing this saw – mainly due to its price – but I have to say it’s surpassed my expectations. It’s a nice weight, the blade is long enough for my needs and it’s batteries last more than long enough. Only minor gripe was having to purchase chain saw oil separately. Overall I’d thoroughly recommend this product to anyone pondering a cordless chainsaw.
Initially I thought it was quite poor at cutting however on checking I realised the chain had been fitted in the wrong direction. Easily unscrewed the tensioning knob, turned the chain around and all sorted. Now cuts very well.
Not sure why the chain was fitted incorrectly on a new device and instructions don’t indicate this.
I think the instructions are way too complicated for this item. So much is taken up by warning you about every possible danger…let’s face it this is a chain saw so it’s designed to be dangerous!
This is a very well made chainsaw. At a very good price it is not to heavy but not feather light aswell. A 99 DB’S it is quiet for a chainsaw of any type so it should not upset the neighbor’s. Very well made and cuts through 10 inch branches with ease. Buy with confidence.
Quite to use very good light to use , has enough power to cut logs 14″ in diameter would give it 5 stars . I have been used to large petroleum saws that are hard to start & heavy this is ideal for the odd jobs cut in fire wood Ext.
Great little saw cuts down everything in it’s path pun intended.
But it does leak chainsaw oil from the bottom plate.
I have been using it over a period of three days and everyday after use it leaked oil all over shed floor.
I made sure it was correctly filled to the approach level every time but no matter what it still leaked.
Still never mind it’s a great chainsaw never the less and very capable. Update after 6 months after the initial first few days of use, the oil leakage from the bottom of the unit has subsided.
I have had no further problems of this type, I have used this chainsaw for some really heavy duty work, over the winter cutting down trees, that really this saw should not be capable of, and I imagined would be too much for a battery unit.
Never the less this chainsaw has performed astonishingly well, for a chainsaw with only a 12 inch bar, nothing seems to stand in its way.
I have also become extremely competent with this chainsaw, as its low weight and small size gives me confidence to do fine, and intricate cuts, that I would normally use a circular saw for.
I made two large raised planters, using sleepers, 8 by 8 inches and its cut through these easily and with a steady hand, required minimal sanding, to the sleepers.
I have been using two, 2ah batteries and these have given great run time. I completed an entire days work running the saw and cutting for a duration of over 1 hour and did not need to charge the batteries. They were totally exhausted after this and needed a full charge, but never the less completed my entire days work without the power dropping off once.
I’m now amending my rating of this product to five stars, as it has performed beyond my expectations and would not hesitate to purchase this item again.
powerfull chainsaw ive been cutting up 4 larges trees with it and some logs are so big i have to go in both sides and it still cuts through, theres no cons i can think of i am very happy, id like to get the brushless strimmer too but they dont ship to ireland.
This is a huge surprise what an fantastic chainsaw. Powerful and easy to use, I was so impressed that I purchased the dual battery hedge trimmer and strimmer. Great garden products for our large garden.
Really good. It punches above its weight for something small and light. It goes through pretty sizeable logs. The batteries give you loads of use on a single charge. Just don’t cut through stuff if there are a lot of leaves attached (I tried to use it to lower a hedge. The leaves get dragged into the mechanism and the chain comes off. It is simple enough to reattach it, but it shouldn’t happen if you keep it away from that sort of vegetation.
