My wife and I recently moved into a continuing care retirement community. I was reluctant given my state-of-the-art woodworking shop that we sprung for upon my retirement.
Alas, I had to give up the shop and move into a very nice home that had an over-sized one-car garage.
So, I needed to plan my space carefully in order to continue my woodworking and woodturning hobby, while ensuring that we could get our vehicle into the garage.
The solution was two-fold. Fist, I either purchased portable options or put everything: storage units, band saw, lathe, bench grinder, crosscut saw and table saw on castors. I even crafted my “vertical dust collection” system to store my air compressor, Shop Vac and Oneida Dusty Deputy in a solution that takes up only 24″ of square space.
But, I still needed ample workbench, which is fulfilled by a Trinity stainless steel and bench top solution, purchased at Costco, a Workmate unit and this Pegasus folding table.
I am happy to report that my space-challenged solution serves me well, in part because of this folding work table.
It’s easy to set up, sturdy and includes two, integrated clamps.
I highly recommend for every woodworking hobbyist. I’m considering purchasing another, which will take up minimal space and easily attaches.
All the features are really easy and quick to use. The clamp set up is great. It is expensive compared to other work benches but I think its worth it. I’m thinking of buying another one.
Well made and comes with extra features like the storage space underneath and the clamps! Folds up flat making storage easier. Liked this setup so well purchased a second one after receiving the first one! Will be using both by connecting them together to extend my workspace. Also plan on using them as sawhorses when I get time to paint my doors. Can’t wait to begin using them!
I bought this work bench after reading a lot of reviews. When I got it, it suddenly went on sale for $40 cheaper. That sucked… But this is a very well made work bench and I should have got one years ago. The only issue is, there is no carrying handle. Minor but a handle would be nice.
It’s not a contractor grade table…it is heavy for plastic. The included clamps are definitely a plus and make for a great homeowner table. ..it was on sale and wished I bought two.
Any of these types of tables are useful. But this particular work table is what I bought and I am not complaining. It’s decent it really is with sturdiness, clamping points, and all round convince.
Surprisingly sturdy feeling, extremely fast to set up, and the clamps are fast and easy to install/remove, and surprisingly useful. Going to have to order a second one of these!
The only negative I see is that there is no way to lock it closed when moving it. It would be a nice feature to have a simple strap or clip that will keep the table closed and locked when transporting it. Other than that, it is very well build and very sturdy.
I was hesitant about what the quality would be, but it’s great. Comes fully assembled and you just have to pop it open out of the box. It’s really sturdy and the two clamps work well. Definitely recommend for the average DIYer.
I love this WORX WX051 Pegasus Folding Work Table & Sawhorse. The clamps are very sturdy and and it very stable. I plan on getting two more. It’s awesome that you can connect them. I have already completed two projects with it. Worth the money.
If I could give this thing 10 stars I would! Here it is lol
This is love at first sight. I bought this after reading reviews and I must say if you are wondering if you should buy this, the answer is emphatically yes!!! Quality materials and great functionality, especially if you work out of your garage and don’t have a commercial set up. I love quality products and this ticks the box for me.
I have had this for about one year always using it has so many possibilities. Folds up small for storage. Thinking about a second one you can tie them together for bigger projects.
Purchased one of these for myself at a local big box store and love it. Very flexible to use and very easy to fold up and store. Liked it so much I purchased two more for my sons on Amazon and had them delivered as Father’s Day gifts. They have both used them and given them 2 thumbs up also.
The table is very sturdy, easy to open, and easy to stow. Lightweight for its sturdiness. The work surface will burnish onto soft materials. If orbital sanding furniture grade materials, be sure to lay down a towel or grip surface.
Well thought out, durable, and lightweight
I bought this for doing various home improvement projects for my house. I have abused this thing to the max to include accidentally cutting into it with a saw. The plastic holds up well and the metal grooves are amazing for locking in whatever you’re working on with the included clamps. The under storage is semi weak and can only hold 1-2 tools max before it starts bowing. The ability to collapse half of the table or both sides while standing make it into sawhorse. Versatile, durable, and easy to carry I’d recommend this to anyone for DIY projects around the home.
I already had one of these and have used it many, many times! It totally fits the bill for a silent assistant! I liked it so much that I ordered this one. They fit together to form a nice long table on which I do my woodworking! Love it! Highly recommend!!!
Bought this for my wife to use in her crafts room, and she loves i
Great product ! Got me off the ground trying to cut wood fencing up that had falling from a storm into raised gardens. I would buy two if you need saw horses, but using one as a table worked for me at the time. If I was you, try to catch them on sale and buy two !
New homeowner and needed a work table for our home projects. Does everything we need it to do and seems like a great beginner wood working table.
This is a great item and I wish I had purchased this much sooner. The design is fairly sturdy although I would have liked to see a little more steel and less plastic. But very, user friendly design and a breeze to assemble. I strongly recommend this to any diye

Such a great product. Far more stable than I was even expecting. I could NOT find this locally at any of my Big Box home stores, so ended up ordering on-line. Absolutely recommend as a a great portable work top solution that does not take up much room in the garage or vehicle.
Great work table, the claps are an add plus. Won’t go wrong if you order it. Makes a good birthday or Christmas gift to a grown family member just starting out in home ownership.
These are very convenient and stable work benches! We bought two to use as a sawhorse as well. The design is very thoughtful, with the lower shelf to store your tools and supplies, the small part cups built into the table top, and the built in clamps. I’m really glad I didn’t go with something cheaper that had less utility.
I purchased the Worx Pegasus since I needed a platform to use for drilling and sawing without fear of hacking up my main work bench. Plus I wanted a bench that I could move outside for projects That created a lot of dust or debris. I started using it as soon as it arrived and I’ve been very satisfied with the product. The table opens and closes easily and it’s very stable. The table top lies completely flat when opened and I have not noticed a hump in the center over the hinges as mentioned in some other reviews. The clamps are very effective. I hung a heavy pick axe over the side to sand rust off the blade and the clamps held it completely immobile. The built-in storage for the clamps and dogs is an excellent idea to ensure that everything is together and ready for use. The indented trays on the table top are useful for keeping screws, nails, marking pens, etc. from rolling away and the shelf under the table is great for toolbags when not in use. For all of its strength, the table is relatively light and stands on its own when completely folded making storage easy. I think that most folks will find this mobile work table to be very useful.
I love everything about this table. It is definitely the best portable worktable that I have owned-I may get another because they can be hooked together. The parts cups and included clamps that store on board is fantastic. One wish is that the height was adjustable because I am tall and find that I need to hunch a bit.
This table is awesome, it makes working on projects much easier and efficient. I had to rebuild a shutter panel and I used the built in clamp system to hold the side rails while I assembled, glued and clamped the mid rails on. It was a joy to use. I am extremely satisfied, now I regret not buying 2 of them.
It’s well constructed and easy to pop up and down for portable work.
It does lose a star for me for work holding. The bottom of the table is just vertical plastic supports, so you can’t clamp to it. I’ve stuck flat pieces of wood under there to spread the pressure out, but the thin supports flex under pressure.
You might be able to get around this with the included clamps and rails, but I couldn’t find an easy way to do that.
The top does not significantly flex at all, so I don’t want to give the impression that it’s flimsy. I’ve done a ton of random work on it and it has served me well, folding back up and going into my car or corner of the garage.
I used to have one of those Workmate tables from the 90s (Black and Decker? I don’t remember). It has much more usable space to work with, is easier to toss around, and even is more sturdy despite the plastic vs metal/MDF construction. But the work holding situation is not as good as I mentioned before.
This is the best folding work table I’ve ever had, so sturdy and quick to set up.
It will serve my needs. Very happy ! 🙂
I absolutely love the Worx Pegasus table! But a question that comes up is whether one can use moveable, track-based hold-down clamps that exert downward pressure on the workpiece against the table top. The Worx Pegasus is really not designed to accommodate such accessories, but it can be modified to do so.
I just strengthened the table channels for use with the Milescraft 4023 Track Master — Universal T-Track Clamping System (using the thinner 30mm base piece in the track). Works great! But there is an important issue to address whether using this type of hold-down clamp or other similar hold-down systems that exert downward pressure on a workpiece when using the Worx Pegasus table. CAUTION: You will almost certainly void the product warranty by doing the modification discussed below.
Each of the two Worx Pegasus table channels is held in place with three small screws in plastic–not too strong. These will likely rip out, given significant vertical force upward resulting from using a hold-down clamp like the Milescraft. Remember, as the hold-down clamp pushes your wood/metal/other workpiece downward onto the table surface, there is a corresponding force pulling upward on the track. The table channels are only designed to accommodate the Worx clamps, which for the most part, generate a force in the horizontal direction, not pulling upward on the channel.
SOLUTION: For each track, drill into the centerline of the track FOUR 1/4″ holes, 2.5″ and 8.5 ” in from each end of each track. Then use a metal cutting countersink in a battery-powered or lightweight plug-in drill or driver/drill, but do NOT countersink more than about 95% the width of the head of the FLATHEAD 1/4-20 machine bolt (a.k.a., screw) you will be using in each hole, inserting with the threads going through the hole into the underside of the table. When you fully tighten the hex nut on the underside later in the process, this will draw the head of the screw down to seat well, making a small dimpled area in the bottom of the track–no negative effect on the function or structural integrity of the track. You will use a small flat washer and split ring or other type of lock washer on the underside, along with a 1/4-20 hex nut. Best to use a 2″ or 3″ long flathead 1/4-20 machine bolt and grind off the excess thread flush with the hex nut when fully installed and tightened (2 of the 4 bolt threads will be a bit awkward to grind, but it’s no huge problem). This guarantees no extra protrusions that might interfere with closing the table wings when the job is done. The two drilled holes closer to the center of the table will require snipping away (use diagonal electrician pliers) small pieces of thin plastic ribbing on the underside to accommodate the nut and washers, but this will have no effect on the structural integrity of the table. When finished, test the WORX clamps to make sure the new screws don’t interfere (they won’t interfere if you have followed these instructions). Then you are all set to use your hold-down clamping system in cases where they are better suited a particular task than the Worx bar clamps, which are great for many situations where the alternative clamping systems (e.g., Milescraft) aren’t necessary.
3 semanas aps a compra.
Acho que vale mesmo a pena a compra.
UPDATE (03/31/2023): Having owned and used this folding work table for approximately one year, I can report that I am still Impressed with the table itself (still 4 stars). However, I’m disappointed with the bar clamps (2.5 stars) because they don’t have a lot of clamping force. They hold things, just not real securely. I would not recommend relying on the bar clamps if you had to secure material very tightly.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I suspect that, like many people, my choice of a portable/folding work table came down to the Worx Pegasus and the Keter folding work table. I spent hours researching folding work table options, reading reviews and watching YouTube videos about the various options. Ultimately, I narrowed my choices to the Worx Pegasus and the Keter folding work table. I ordered both with the intention of keeping the one I liked most and returning the other (fortunately, Amazon offered free returns for the Worx Pegasus and I could purchase and return the Keter table at a local Northern Tool store). The Keter folding work table I ordered was the model with extendable legs and maximum load capacity of 750 lbs. Keter also makes a model with non-extendable legs (fixed height of 29.75 inches), which has a maximum load capacity of 1,000 lbs. Except for the legs, the two models of the Keter table are otherwise identical.
Even though the Worx Pegasus was more expensive than the Keter folding work table, I chose the Pegasus for the following reasons:
1. The design of the Pegasus is simpler and more elegant. Set up of the Pegasus is a breeze and literally takes just a few seconds. Spread the sawhorse legs, lift the “wings” of the table until they click and lock in place and you’re done. Setting up the Keter folding work table is a multi-step process. After dropping the legs and lower shelf of the Keter folding work table from their collapsed position, three different table top supports need to be locked into place.
2. The table top of the Pegasus is larger (775 square inches) than the table top of the Keter folding work table (728.6 square inches). In addition, the Pegasus table top has embossed rulers and recessed storage trays for fasteners, drill bits, etc. on both “wings” of the table. The Keter folding work table top has no rulers or storage trays.
3. The Work Pegasus feels more solid/stable to me. Once the “wings” of the Pegasus were raised and locked in place, the table top was very sturdy when I pushed down on it and it didn’t wobble when I tried to shake it. The Keter folding work table also felt very sturdy when I pushed down on the table top, but it wobbled noticeably when I put my hands on the table top and shook it. I suspect the Keter folding work table with the non-extendable legs might not wobble as much as the model with the extendable legs, but I suspect it would still wobble more than the Pegasus simply due to the design of the Keter table and legs. Although the Keter folding work tables have much higher load capacities, the 300 lb load capacity of the Pegasus is more than adequate for my needs. I doubt I’d ever put anything weighing more than 100 lbs on a folding work table. For what it’s worth, there is a YouTube video of a guy who stacked 600 lbs of steel weights on a Work Pegasus (300 lbs on each side).
4. The overall look and feel of the Worx Pegasus gives the impression of higher quality. In my opinion, the fit and finish of the Pegasus is superior to the Keter folding work table.
5. The bar clamps that come with the Worx Pegasus are longer (18 inches vs. 12 inches) and appear to be better quality (larger overall and “beefier” material) than the Keter bar clamps. The Pegasus bar clamps can also be inserted on both sides of the table and extend almost the entire width of the table. The Keter bar clamps can only be inserted on one side of the table and extend only 60% of the width of the table. Storage of the Pegasus bar clamps on the sides of the table is also easier. Both Pegasus bar clamps can be grabbed and stowed away quickly from either side of the table. The Keter bar clamps are stored in cutouts on the lower shelf and must be returned to their fully closed position to fit in the cutouts. The Keter bar clamps cannot be retrieved or stowed away from one side of the table.
It should be noted that only Worx-brand bar clamps will work in the T- rails on the Pegasus. Non-Worx bar clamps do not have the parts required to keep the distant end of the bar clamp in the T-rail track or secure the “trigger” end of the bar clamp to the table. Non-Worx bar clamps could presumably be used in a vertical orientation with the Pegasus work table, but, in my opinion, the egg crate plastic construction of the Pegasus table top is not designed for using clamps in a vertical orientation. In order to use clamps in a vertical orientation, one would have to place a flat piece of wood or other material on the underside of the table top.
It does not appear that extra or replacement Worx-brand bar clamps can be purchased separately from Amazon or other retailers. Unlike the Worx clamp dogs, the Worx bar clamps are not advertised for sale at the Worx website or available for purchase on Amazon. Perhaps additional Worx bar clamps can be purchased directly from Worx by contacting its customer service department.
6. The T-rails for the bar clamps on the Worx Pegasus are made of fairly thick aluminum and each T-rail is securely screwed into the grooves on the table top. The T-rails for the bar clamps on the Keter folding work table are plastic and appear to be press fitted or slid into grooves in the table top.
7. The Worx Pegasus includes four clamp dogs that allow you to clamp material at various places on the table . They can also be used to clamp round and oddly shaped items. Additional clamp dogs for the Pegasus can be purchased separately. With the Keter table, material can only be clamped to one side (unless, perhaps, the clamp is oriented vertically). The Keter folding work table does not include any clamp dogs and there are no holes for clamp dogs on the Keter table.
8. The working height of the Pegasus is fixed at 32 inches, which is an acceptable height for me (I’m just over 6 ft. tall). The starting height of the Keter folding work table is 29.75 inches, which, for me, is too low. That’s why I ordered the Keter table with extendable legs. The legs of the Keter table extend an additional 4 inches, in 2-inch increments, from 29.75 inches to 31.75 inches to 33.75 inches, but the legs are a pain to extend. Each leg has to be extended individually and must be returned to its shortest length before collapsing the table. The Pegasus is at an acceptable height without my having to do anything further when setting it up or folding it up. The maximum height of the Keter table — 33.75 inches — is a nice working height, especially for taller people, but the Keter table feels increasingly wobbly as you raise the height. If I had kept the Keter table, I probably would have used it at the middle height of 31.75 inches most of the time, which would have necessitated extending all four legs each time I set it up and returning them to their shortest length each time I folded it up.
9. The Pegasus comes with a three year warranty (six years if registered at the Worx website). The Keter table comes with only a one year warranty.
10. Although the weight of the two tables is similar (approximately 30 lbs), the Keter folding work table feels heavier when you carry it because it doesn’t seem as compact as the Worx Pegasus when folded. The carry handle on the Keter table is a nice feature, but after the Keter table is folded flat its legs tend to flop out as it is being carried. The Pegasus doesn’t have a handle, but I found I can carry it easily under one arm. Shorter people (or people with shorter arms) may find it more difficult to carry the Pegasus under one arm.
TIP: The Worx Pegasus stores and can be carried more easily if you stretch a bungee cord around it after folding it. A 36- or 48-inch flat bungee cord fits nicely in the T-rails on each of the “wings” of the folded Pegasus table and holds the “wings” securely in the folded position when it is being stored or carried. See attached photos.
One criticism I have of the Worx Pegasus table is the lower shelf seems flimsy. Worx claims the lower shelf can hold up to 20 lbs, but I would be hesitant to put that much weight on it. In contrast, the lower shelf of the Keter folding table looked like it would hold much heavier items. However, because of the design of the table top supports on the Keter table, items stored on the lower shelf can only be reached from one side of the table.
This workbench has a surface double the size of my previous bench. Used it for a project and it turned out to be a great aid. Very sturdy and stable, The clamps were useful too for some drilling and cutting works. The different pockets were handy to store screws and small things during the job.
Delivery was quick, arrived before Christmas. Happy with the product.
This work table makes me want to toss some furniture from my living room so it can have a permanent home right at hand. It is stable, strong, and so very sensibly designed. I’ll be using it for woodworking projects mostly. Since it was my Christmas present to myself, I set it up while I read about the features, planning to put it away soon. But no, I had some parts sorting to do and there was the big lid from the Christmas ornament box not far away. I put that on the Pegasus, used the slick clamp dogs to keep it in place, put in a towel, and sorted away. After that, I decided to display some last-minute Xmas items. Once the holidays are over, I might even use it for woodworking, but suspect it will find many, many uses. Love the big clamps and that everything has a place, and it all folds up flat and is easy to put away. Oh, and also, the top has little trays to collect tools and screws for the current project. It’s a darn fine piece of equipment, and I should have bought it years ago, right after I bought the Jawhorse which does have a permanent place close at hand.
I own two of them and before I am through I will probably buy another two. I am not one who likes fixed workbenches. They seem to be junk collectors more than anything else. When I bought my first Worx table I had looked at several other brands but this one seems to stand out. They can be connected. They create a great work height. They have a variety of options with clamps etc. And it is not really a negative but these benches are fairly heavy. There is no problem carrying them but there is some heft to them.
Regarding the price. At $179, which seems to be their list price, it is a good value. However maybe once or twice a year they drop to $99. At that price, they are a steal.
Don’t hesitate on the purchase. They are a great and useful product that allows you to get a lot done around the house and with your various home projects.
