Unable to comment on durability as just received but nice and colourful with animal pictures on each. Probably too much of the same type of instrument but still fun for small child
All the instruments appear well made and are nicely decorated in bright attractive colours.
The items all make different sounds and range from rattles, clackers, kazoo, maracas, tambourine, whistles and a small recorder like a piccolo.
It’s a great combination of musical items for children to play with, and to explore their sense of rhythm and musicality in a fun way.
Primarily constructed in wood, the set comprises thirteen instruments plus a soft protective pouch to keep them in. Each of the instruments came individually packaged in cellophane.
I thought they were well made, that the graphics were of high quality and they were generally attractive, colourful and reasonably robust.
The EN 71logo, a standard for the safety of toys made or imported into the European Union specifies the tests to perform to comply with the European directives, is printed on the sturdy box and there are clear warnings that due to small parts the items are to be used under direct adult supervision. It was disappointing that the Amazon address label covered all this information completely.
Overall I thought the set provided good value for money although it’s relatively early to see how durable they are standing up to the playfulness of young children.
Really lovely toy bought for my nephew. So many well made pieces- real value for money. He plays with it supervised as he’s only 1 but loves the maracas and the tambourine particularly. He enjoys throwing things at the moment and nothing has broken or chipped that he’s thrown off his lap. A good buy- the pipe whistle thing does make a horribly loud noise. I had to hide that one as it kept making the dog bark!
I bought this for my niece’s 2nd birthday and she loves it. We regularly have a hooter-off with some of the blown instruments and she loves that some of the items are animals. Definitely a hit (no drum included but there is a tambourine!!).
