We’ve had a colder start to the year and the slugs have decimated so many seedlings
These work amazingly well and I’ve managed to propagate so much more than I would have otherwise
Where as this product been. It’s perfect so easy to use
Very happy with my purchase. I’ve so far used one tray. The leds are a good idea as a starter if you don’t have space or finances for bigger lights. A review said the seedlings end up being leggy. But as this is my first time sowing I wouldn’t know the difference. I use them in my conservatory so it’s a great size. The charger is a bit temperamental though. I have to keep trying different ones as although the plug works it can be difficult to turn on the controls. I get there in the end.

My seeds germinated in no time at all with the help of the lights and a heat mat (bought separately). Haven’t had any issues with the lights being faulty or not working.

My son recently had an activity at school where he bought home a paper cup with cress seeds planted within, homework being to water and look after the cress and then use in a sandwich which he enjoyed so much we are now using this kit to grow lots of cress
It works, cress growing far faster then the initial pot, and we have planted in staggered waves so we have harvest after harvest to look forward to

so the plastic is a good thickness and should last a few seasons.
the lights all worked winner and everything seem to be growing well, the USB is bit short for me but i runs ok on a battery pack or I got a USB extension lead to sort this out.

These are alot smaller than I expected but there are 4 of them and it’s easier to make space on window sills/tables for them.

The propagator set I received had faulty wiring, unfortunately, as the lights stopped working in a few days. I emailed the seller about it and received excellent customer service – they sent me a replacement promptly.
Overall, I highly recommend this product. You may be able to find a similar item elsewhere, but what you should bear in mind is a 12 month warranty and the outstanding YOUNEL customer service. I would not hesitate purchasing any other products from this seller.

The trays are small but big enough for its purpose. I don’t normally do things like this, but as simple as it is to do, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A nice sturdy little seed tray set. Everything is well set up and the instructions are very well laid out and easy to follow. A nice little set to get started with.
These seed trays are brilliant for home growing purely for the lights they come with. They have a timer too so you can adjust the amount of light they will take a day in regards to what they need. The trays are a decent depth and all too.
I liked everything about this set easy to set up and timer function a bonus. Customer service is excellent. I use these for sewing seeds
You get a nice amount of plastic labels which will be useful and with them being plastic you can use them over and over again.
The miniature plastic tools will probably come in handy when pricking out the seedlings to pot on so a nice little touch with those.
Not sure about the LEDs though, will they actually be beneficial to the growing of the plants? I suppose only time will tell.
The LEDs just clip into place on the top of the cover but you might have to use a little bit of force to get them to clip in, but once done they turn easily so you can the vents opened or closed.
21 sounds a lot of money but you are actually getting a lot for your money and if the LEDs do actually help the plants to grow then this set of four seed trays have to be exceptionally good value for money.
These are regular, green, plastic seed trays with regular domes, but the air vents at the top are fitted with tiny LED lights. You plug the cable into the top of the light and then attach it by USB plug to your electrical supply. There is a control panel on the cable which allows you to make the lights dimmer or lighter or switch them off. There is also a timer, which you can set for 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours or 18 hours.
If you want to start of seeds in a situation with low light levels, then this does help. There is no heat emitted. However, if you’ve already got adequate light level, such as in a greenhouse or in a conservatory, you aren’t going to get much advantage from this. The instructions are in English and helpful. You have to have the seed trays close together because they all fix into the same cable.
Upon opening this kit, it was all very sturdy and good quality, with some nice accessories thrown in too – like plant labels. You get four seed trays which are all separate, but the lights are connected, so the trays have to be grown together.
There were two disapppointing bits for me – the lights should clip into the seed tray lid, but the bit that is meant to ‘pop’ in is too big, meaning the lights only rest on the lid – which is less secure. Secondly there are few options with the lights, one light setting, the other buttons dont seem to do much on mine, although you’re meant to be able to adjust the time they are on.
These seed trays seem good quality and I think will last for more than one season. The light is quite strong, and it will be interesting to see how my tomato seedlings do with this kit. They are easy to set up, and I like how only one USB is needed to power all four trays. I also thought it was a nice touch to include the little tools, and the plant labels.
This kit is priced at 21.98 at the time of reviewing, which I think is very fair.
A nice set of 4 seed trays to get upto 48 plants growing strong and early in spring.
Easy to assemble and connect all of the leads to.
The controller is self explanatory, with clear icons to show how it works.
The usb lead is quite short so you will either need to run off a power bank, or buy a usb male – female extension.
Looking forward to seeing how this gets on in spring. I’ll compare results to trays of the same seed without the lights.
I propagate from my many houseplants and to be able to have smaller, pre-lit propagators is fantastic for me as space really is at a premium and it can also get expensive having to buy light units for each propagator so when I saw this set of 4 LED lit mini propagators, I jumped at the chance!
The 4 propagators consist of a green plastic base, clear plastic top and the green plastic vent also incorporates the LED light unit which is in turn powered by a 4-way (USB-A to USB-C) power cable with an in-line control.
Also included in the set are 5 clear plastic plug trays that you can directly plant seeds or node cuttings into. Along with two little green plastic potting tools, some white plastic labels and the instructions.
Operating the LED lights is straight forward using the inline controls – you can toggle the brightness from 100% to 20% and can also have the lights on a timer from static (press the power button to turn on or off) through to 4/8/12/18 hours.
There is a purple caste to the light as there are red and blue LEDs alongside the warm and cool white LEDs but it’s not anywhere near as headache inducing as a lot of growlights that insist on using blue and red LEDs as the main colours in their products (the science behind it is shaky, at best).
I have 2 of the 4 propagators in use and just cable tied the two other USB-C cables out of the way – the two currently plugged in are drawing 4.7W/hour and with all 4 plugged in, you’re looking at just under 10W/hour, making them very economical to run 🙂
I honestly can’t fault this product – it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for and it’s incredibly cheap (imo) at 21.98 plus a 5% off voucher, at the time of writing.
