This seems better at weighing salt, yeast, sugar for making bread as my larger scales don’t register 1-5 g

I got told off by my wife for using the kitchen scale for weighing out equal parts of moulding silicone. With my tail between my legs I bought this set of scales. They are perfect. Put an empty pot on the scales and press tare to zero the scales. Add your first part of the desired compound. Make a mental note of the weight and press tare to zero the scales again. Add the second part to the same weight as the first and you have perfectly equal amounts of whatever product it is you need.

In a word, these are impressive. They are consistent, accurate, easy to read, easy to use and compact. Initially, I wasn’t impressed as the case isn’t easy to open and feels a bit cheap but once you get the hang of it and start using them they are amazingly consistent. They do drift over time so you need to keep taring them for best results but with this proviso, they are consistent to 1 hundredth of a gram. I’ve used them for mixing small batches of two part adhesives where I needed accuracies of a tenth of a gram which these scales handle with ease. Overall, very impressed so far. 10/10

While some other reviewers have mentioned that sometimes the readings can be out by 0.02g, I find these perfectly capable for most tasks, provided absolute precision isn’t necessary (e.g. measuring things too light for your kitchen scales). If you’re looking for absolute precision, probably best to expand your budget, but these’ll do great in a pinch!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese digital scales take two AAA batteries which helpfully are included. The outer case is black plastic and clips shut firmly, so the whole thing is very lightweight and portable. Once the lid is flipped open there are detailed instructions on the inside, very useful. The stainless steel weighing platform takes up the left side of the scales. A LCD display is on the right – this lights up in blue. Beneath that are three buttons – MODE, ON/OFF and TARE. The scales default to grams but units can be changed easily enough.

In use, the scales work pretty well but if I weigh the same item several times in a row I get different results. It only varies by a couple of centigrams, but I rarely get the same reading twice. Sometimes this may be because the item isn’t placed in exactly the same spot on the weighing platform but other times the item is in the same place and still comes up as a different weight.

The scales feel quite cheap and at under 7 they are. Overall I’m quite happy with them – they are certainly more accurate than my kitchen scales (which don’t include centigrams) but I would still prefer it if the readings were more consistent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Small and lightweight but readings are not consiste

These unfortunatly don’t come with a calibration weight, I have another set of scales with a 50g weight, but these scales for some reason ask for 200g?? In the instructions which is a bit odd.
On weighing the 50g weight on the scales to check for accuracy the scaled read 50.08g, so it’s only slightly off.

I’ve been using these for weighing craft supplies, specifically resin to make sure I’m getting the same amount for mixing.

The scales require 2xAAA batteries which are included.

The scales are nice and slim and don’t take up too much space which is handy for storage.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent low priced mini digital scales

Nifty little scales which is perfect for weighing in my 3D prints to calculate print volumes, take up literally zero space at all and even with the 500g limit I will personally not be making anything remotely close to that.

Practicality these would be perfect for use in the kitchen when baking or adding fine amount of ingredients the readings are accurate but there might be a slight discrepancy but not by much as it reads by 0.01g.

Can be used to measure in Grams, Ounces, Grain, Carats, Tael, Troy Ounce and Pennyweight so multiple different options to choose from which might suit you best.

Brilliant scales fit the purpose I need them for highly recommend.

For the price I would definitely give it a try.
Works well. Does what it’s supposed and it’s easy to work with. Max weight 500 grams.
The material it’s really plastic and it’s what we should expect for its price.
    Definitely recommend

For the price these are excellent scales.
They come in a box with batteries included, a solid lid that clips closed, they feel well enough made and weigh from 000.1 of a gram which is great for weighing up your gold or silver before going in for repairs.
    Good value and work well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the price

Normally, I don’t write simple reviews but when you got a high accuracy digital scale which reports in 0.01g increments, the size of a pocket mirror and includes batteries all ready to go! It’s hard not to say I DEFINITELY recommend this item!

Compact design not only allows versatile portability but also versatile forms of storage. It is so thin you can keep this in your drawer of kitchen forks and spoons!

If you’re looking for a high accuracy scale, just buy this one. It’s the cheapest one, trust me I’ve checked (6.99 at the time of review)

These scales arrive boxed with instructions and 2 x AAA batteries

These scales are light and compact, easy to store away in a kitchen drawer.
They can measure up to 500g and precise enough to detect 0.01G
Perfect to measure anything from jewellery to making sure the “coffee” you purchased was provided in the accurate amount, just incase you need to contact the local coffee shop and make a compliant. 🙂

You can change between 4 units and the measurements are displayed on a blue back-light, digital screen

For the price (6.99 at time of writing) this is good value for a precise set of scales that are compact, light and handy!

These scales come with a hard case so it can be folded away nicely or even taken on the go if needed.

The case is a black colour and once you open it up you can see there are instructions on the inside about all the different settings.

The display screen is only small and lights up blue once it is turned on. The scales are fairly sensitive too. The buttons look like a touch screen but they are not.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent scales

As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.

These VIAFOIA 500×0.01g Digital Precision Back-Lit Scales with arrived inside moulded plastic in sturdy cardboard box, also inside the box are 2 AAA batteries to power the scales and a User Manual (which I didn’t discover until after I shot the video).

I ordered this set of scales as I thought it would be a good idea when writing a review on some items to weigh them, so people could see exactly what an item weighed, and to see it matches the description of the weight in the listing.

As you can see from my video, once the scales arrive, all you have to do is insert the batteries, switch it on and decide what setting you want to use, grain (gn). Carat (ct), fraction (dwt) or gram (g), it couldn’t be easier to set up and use.

As you can see, I weighed 2 items, but to see how accurate the scales are, I went to a neighbour that had a different set of precision scales and weighed the same items, on his scales the reading were almost identical to mine, of course I don’t know which were the most accurate, his or mine, but the difference was .01 of a gram.

I could go through everything that’s in the listing description but I’m sure you have already read it before reading my review, so I won’t repeat it, you can see the unboxing in my video, this is just my personal experience with it.

I really like these scales, they are light and slim so very portable, and very easy to use and set up. At the time of writing this review the price is 6.99, which I think is a very reasonable price.

The squares on the table I use when photographing and videoing items are 1cm squares, you can use them to help you judge the size of items I photograph.

I hope you have found this review and video helpful.
