Installation is very easy especially if you lay out the 5 pieces of track on a wooden board, and then fix the board and track to the wall. Would also recommend to route a slot into the bottom of the door for the slide guide.
I used this bracket on the existing living room door – with a little modification. I can now get an additional armchair into the living room as I no longer need space to open and close the door. The black rail and wheels make a nice feature.
Rather difficult to fix onto wall with instructions and assembly kit provided.
Screws are useless, unless you have a wooden wall you are installing onto. If you are working with drywall or brick, you will have to get creative to work with this. They provide “softwood wallplugs”…. an idea OK on paper, but you will struggle to drill that diameter hole into a brick wall and have that “plug” stay in place so you can screw the unit onto/into those.
Looks good, works well – once you got creative on how to actually fix it onto the wall. Description and accessories provided are not much help with that.
How wonderful to get a sturdy well engineered bit of kit. I installed this sliding door gear as an access to my new pantry and was delighted with the quality and ease of installation.
Einzig der Versand und die Zollabwicklung war etwas unerwartet, zum Glck keine zustzlichen Kosten.
The rail comes in 3 parts which connect together at the coach screw locations, easy enough to cut down to length with a hacksaw if its too long for your chosen location. If you take a little time to ensure you get the rail straight and level, it works really smoothly and so light to move the door. The guide for the bottom of the door keeps it from swinging and is hardly seen. I routed a grove into the bottom of the door stopping short of both ends which keeps it nicely hidden.
As other reviewers have mentioned the wooden dowels are an odd choice to include, if you have masonry walls i’d opt for 10mm plus for the bolts as it will be much stronger. The wall I hung my door on was studwork wall, I managed to locate some of the coach screws into the studs, 2 needed to be fixed between the studs. I tried using plasterboard fixings, but they simply wouldn’t grip the plasterboard enough to allow you to drive in the coach screws. So i ended up putting some blocking into the wall, by cutting a hole in the plaster board from the otherside, only took about an hour to do and make good.
I’ve already recommended this product to friends as it is really rather good.
