After a little wobble on setting it up totally down to me not reading the instructions.
It’s working great I would suggest that you updated the app on your device and then the item.
    One word (amazing)

My VW Passat was constantly failing with my Galaxt S22+, whereas my wife’s Pixel was fine. Rather than buy a new phone I got this. Problem solved no more flakey connection, or need to plug in. Good produc

Only had this a few days but now get in my vehicle and it’s just started up to Android auto within a few seconds of driving. Love the ease of this as don’t need to connect the lead and hope this is long term and becomes my favourite car produc

Not a single issue, using in a audi rs3 8v plugged in and worked right off the bat without any issues. No issues with connection and auto connects and when jumping in the car. Only annoyance not releated to the product is the car thinks the phone is plugged in so everytime you switch the ignition off it tells you your phone is still connected. So something to consider if you have a audi.

    This device is superb.
Easy to set up with no hassle.

It has connected my phone with ease everytime starting my vehicle; sometimes I forget to plug my phone Into the car and im on the move all the time.

Only thing is if you connected two phones to the vehicle you will have to switch it back to the connected device on the vehicle before its starts connecting again otherwise it won’t work. If you got Only 1 phone then no issues at all.

Works great and as exactly as I had hoped. Quickly connects android auto to my pixel phone in my pocket, and allows me to use all the apps without any issues. Much better than a fiddly usb cable.

My car has android auto but with a cable and I wanted a wireless connection. I bought this after reading some great reviews and am really impressed by it. Really easy to set up and once it’s done you can forget it.
It never misses a beat, completely reliable connection.
Music seems to sound better as well but that could be me.

Got my AAwireless yesterday, downloaded app and was up and running in less than 5 mins. Went out few times shopping etc and each time I got in car with phone in pocket it connected seamlessly. (Ford Kuga 2022) Looked at others cheaper with good but not fab reviews. Glad I went with this one so far.

After nearly 4yrs of living with bugs glitches and god knows what owning a Skoda with their inbuilt infotainment screens etc trying to use a cable with my android phone and android auto has been a total NIGHTMARE regular hiccups from freezes not recognising previously used handsets etc…

Someone told me they had similar issues with their car/phones and reccomended I should go the wire free route….well after buying and a simple set up all I can say is I WISH I’D BOUGHT SOONER! been running like a dream wire free since installing every wired issue I had is now gone…only had one setup issue and emailed support on new year’s Day…support emailed the day after and promptly suggested things to try after a failing software update it said I needed.

Do it…buy it…you certainly WONT be sorry…changing to a new vehicle in a few days and my AAD adapter will work fine (support answered one of my many questions! )

Sometimes up to a minute to connect and begin streaming, but steady connection and saves me messing around with USB lead everytime I get in or out of the car. Good purchase.

Great bit of kit. I only paid 36 pounds and it must be a returned item. I have installed this in a Toyota CHR and it works a treat . The reason for the 4 stars is that the item was opened before .. but it works really well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis works smoothly and quickly. When its working as intended my phone connects very quickly to it and Android Auto shows up on my dash.
Occasionally though it’ll randomly lose connection and it can be quite a task getting it back. I’ve tried different cables and checked the car usb port wasn’t damaged by using wired AA. Definitely something going on with the box. Its been fine for about a year(ish) before this started happening.
There are cheaper alternatives out there but I know this one works pretty well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy car head unit only accepts wired connections for Android Auto. Over the past months I’ve suffered repeated disconnections from my phone. Changed cables. Problem continued. Since using this device the connection hasn’t dropped once. Added convenience of not having to remove my phone from my pocket. I disconnect this device at the end of each journey as my cars usb port is permanently powered and I don’t want to risk a flat battery, although I suspect the current drain is very low. Takes around a minute to connect once plugged in. I’m a very happy bunny.

It’s very easy to set up initially via it’s associated app, and as said, it only takes around a minute to connect once plugged in. My research suggests there might be a setting to adjust that powers the unit down when not in use to avoid battery drain, but I’ve yet to try it. The same research also suggested that it could take a couple of weeks without use of the car before there was any real impact on the battery charge State.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersA few teething problems setting up (flashing blue light after set up – fix was in the partner app settings on phone -> put USB mode as MTP with forced start instead of default), but in the day I’ve had it so far it’s been great. Boots up quickly, phone now connects wirelessly no problem. No noticeable lag either. No drop outs so far. Only need to plug phone into car to charge it now, instead of faffing around to plug it in every time I get in even for short journeys. Obviously early days, and pretty expensive dongle to be honest, but a great little device from what I’ve experienced so far.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this because my Hyundai Kona Ultimate EV, only has the wired version of Android Auto & Apple Carplay, which is weird because the lower spec models come with a smaller screen, yet have wireless AA & AC ???

Anyway, I followed the setup instructions, and got it working very quickly. Now I don’t have to keep my phone constantly plugged in and slowly destroying its battery life.
The unit powers on and reconnects very quickly without any interaction from me, and makes driving much easier and safer.

Already owned the Motorola MA1 but that flaked out once too often and was tough to reset and reconnect. So bought this instead. Liked the socket connection rather than the wired, also like the App as a means up deploying updates and controlling settings. Annoyingly it takes 3-4x longer to connect, which seems forever when you are about to drive off, MA1 connects much faster. Using it with an Alpine ilX-W690D head unit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter an easy installation everything on first glance seemed to be working, however when playing YouTube music I noticed that every 15secs the audio would be choppy/ stutter and then work fine again. It was really impossible to enjoy listening to anything, however I contacted AA Wireless support and they were super helpful and gave speedy responses to my question and they gave me the BETA update v2.3.0 which has now resolved the issue. I now love AA Wireless. Thank you.

Wow! Is the best word for this product. After years of plugging my phone in everytime this is great. Super easy to set up using the app. Always connects straight away when getting into the car. I have not experienced any delay in connection speed or a drop in connection.
Definitely a game changer for Android Auto users.
All I will say is unless you have wireless charge in the car, you’ll still need to plug in to charge your phone.

Very simple to set up and just works. I now get in car and after about 20secs the connection is made and android auto appears on screen. I am using amazon music at present and have, so far, only noticed one little glitch in playback, that I can live with. The accompanying app is useful for setting up and also after using for a few days it told me that a system update was available. All updated very quickly using app, the unit rebooted and all was working again. Haven’t noticed anything new since update but this is often the case. All in all, very satisfied with the experience so far.

got this as sick of constantly plugging/unplugging phone every time got out of car. so far only had one disconnection since started using it, but this is probably down to the car (renault megane mk4) as had constant disconnections when using phone plugged directly in.

quick to start up as soon as engine is started and connects within about 30 seconds or less, all features work just as though had phone connected via wire.

    overall happy with the produc

Worth the price, very simple setup and even an option to default force open Android Auto on my head unit without even having to press the button which is honestly a big deal for me as it means you can get in and go and it’ll load up on it’s own. Boot time is about 20 seconds, not notably slower than a wire connection and I cannot discern any audio quality loss or any additional latency. Time will tell how the device functions for longer drives and over a long period of ownership but honestly if it lasts I’ll definitely be buying more for family and friends

This little device allows me to connect tirelessly to Android Auto. I had it up and running in minutes. Once you download ‘AA Wireless’ from the Play Store, the step-by-step instructions within the app so so easy to follow.
The quality of the product is good and is value for money. I haven’t had any glitches. Connects every time without issue.

This is a first world solution to a first world problem but it was something I wanted as I didn’t was a mess of cables to connect a charger and another to android auto for navigation music etc.. after some research this unit was highly reommended and it doesnt dissapoint after a short setup period to install the app and bluetooth connetion I haven’t touched the thing since. It simply lives in the center console in my 2018 Vauxhall Astra andseamlessly connects to my phone when I start the car with maps etc kicking in ater no more than 20 seconds.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this item for my 2023 Kia Sportage HEV, which only has wired Andriod Auto. The AAWireless generally connects fine although has glitched a coulple of times failing to connect automatically. Whilst I’m fairly happy with the purchase, I’ve noted that I have to disconnect the device as the USB port on the Kia is always live even when the ignition is turned off, therefore discharging the battery albeit very slowly. The device could do with either an inbuilt on/off switch or at least an on/off switch built into the connection cable. You can of course buy such a cable separately from Amazon, but you need to be careful that you get one that also transmits data as well as power. For the price being charged for the AAWireless I think it ought to be supplied with such a cable, alternatively the company needs to update the unit so that it incorporates an on/off power switch.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTook a few attempts to get this setup with a Pixel 7a against a koda Scala. The key seemed to be restarting the phone, though the available app also helps. Now it’s going I’m very impressed – it starts quickly, all the features of Android Auto seem to work perfectly, and there is no lag in operations.
If I could change one thing, it would be to add a power switch/button so it’s not always live.
Update: if using the app diagnostics isn’t fixing a connection problem, then try (a) manually un-pairing the Bluetooth connection to the phone and (b) removing any paired AAWireless device on the car system. Then restart everything. That seems to be what worked for me.

I bought this to see if (in spite of realising it might not be compatible with) it would work with android auto in my Suzuki Vitara. The downside is that I do not have the android v11 that is required for it to connect to my android phone. Were I an Apple customer, my infotainment system would connect automatically & with hardly any delay – but as android is a 2nd class citizen, it either doesn’t connect at all, or takes 4-5minutes. This device could have helped. Sent it back. Got a refund. Probably works brilliantly with right software.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFor a start, now my phone won’t run out of power having to rely on the pathetic trickle charge from the wired Android Auto sockets. Being too weak to put more in than the battery drain. Also, I can now say “Hi Goggle” again rather than being forced to hit a button on my head unit. I can also connect hands free and don’t lose connection, as was continually happening with my wired in usb sockets. Frankly, this is amazing. Only thing that concerns me a bit is why the WiFi shows me connected to this adapter when I’m at home. And NOT my WiFi router… (??). Also… This ensures that my Bluetooth IS connected, since the box FIRST connects via BT then boots up the rest of the data and settings from your phone. Quite simply… Awesome. Including the free app

I researched making my mobile automatically connect with my car whenever I got into it. I had a few doubts that such an economically priced unit would actually perform. After the pretty simple setup procedure until now, it has worked flawlessly. At last, android auto performs exactly as I hoped, and at little extra cost. A favourite device – it simply does what it is quoted to do.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived today, so got straight on it with our 2 Pixel phones. Car already fitted w AA socket of course, but connecting our phones with a neat cable was a bit of a faff. So really wanted this to work.

Had considered the Motorola, but this is cheaper, has a detachable cable so more flexible in different car layouts (I used our existing USB A > C cable for neatness) and has the app.

All good so far. Had to tap/repeat a few times, but got there. Does launch on entry to the car/switch on.

Haven’t been for a run yet, so still to try my Amazon Music, Waze, podcasts etc.

If there’s any material change when I do, will update.

    Edit 23/08/23

Had the unit a little over a month now, so updating.

    1. Each driver key is coded to the car, and each key sets up source audio etc. AA Wireless doesn’t follow – it sets to the last phone used, if it’s in the car. Not always what I want.

    2. Our preferred music service is Amazon HD. Tracks skip a fraction of a second every so often. Does it in BBC Sounds too, so seems to be the unit rather than the music service.

    3. Whether wired or wireless, Android Auto hands over a data stream to the car. Nav not much, music more. A wireless connection means the phone is connecting automatically, and if you’re tempted to stream your music service daily, you’ll use more data. In this first month we’ve used 10Gb on Android Auto. Fortunately, we have a decent plan on the phones.

Having to connect a phone by wire requires the user to tacitly accept this. An automatic wireless connection doesn’t. Something to be aware of.

Overall, still happy, but downgrading to 4*.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great so far, on Volvo XC40

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOnly used this for a couple of days and now seems to be working well. Had problems with initial connection which I did through the app. Kept having a flashing green light which led to the app telling me to clear the memory on the Android Auto app. This made no difference initially so I retried and then restarted my phone before trying again. This time the connection worked. However when I’d left the car and went back again it still wouldn’t connect.

This is where the app is useful because I had a notification which said the unit may not work if VPN is on. I turned VPN off on the phone and since then it has worked flawlessly. The connection is also quick because on my car the USB port powers up as soon as the door is unlocked which minimises any lag. So overall quite pleased in the short time I’ve been using it.
