I bought this laptop for my grandson as a gift for staring secondary school. I went for an Acer as I have had them before and found them to be reliable and good value for money therefore my star ratings are based on this as it has not been set up yet. I did quite a bit of research prior to going with Amazon but the price was very competitive and as a Prime member I felt confident with the delivery. The delivery was very quick and secure – I was sent a one time code to give to the driver so you need to be in to receive the package. This was painless and the laptop was very well packaged. Very pleased with the calibre of service.

This was purchased as a replacement for old Acer i5 and I am very pleased with it. It’s very fast and the picture is very good too.

The Laptop is really fast with decent screen quality the only 2 issues i have with it are that it uses LPDDR5 so you can’t upgrade the RAM and the WiFi card isn’t compatible with Linux although it was really easy to replace it with one that is. I currently have EndeavourOS with BSPWM installed on it and it’s even more fast and responsive while running much cooler and quieter than it does with Windows.

This item was a replacement for my previous laptop also a Aspire from Acer. My earlier model lasted over five years without fault. However Microsoft in their wisdom decided to stop support of Windows 8.1 so I decided to replace with a updated version of my previous laptop. So far this model has been excellent and very fast startup. One minor note the battery does seem to run down quicker than the old model, other than that I am happy with my new compute
