Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersDespite what some are saying about the battery I have tested this, and while gaming it will drain fast and that is expected, but for general use and browsing it will last 5-6 hours.

I had to update the GEforse graphics card via GEforse website but that was quick and fast and only takes 5 minutes tops if you do it right, if you do it wrong you could find that your have major problems.

The Nitro sence key is extremely useful for controlling a few things manly the fans if your useing the laptop all day. And it also controls the settings for the backlit keyboard.

Gaming it has not been a problem but to play Battlefield 2042 I had to update GEforse graphics card (This was free via there website) and now I can play the game on ultra graphics. 9 out of 10 games will play fine with out up dating the Graphics card.

All in a expensive laptop but it is the best one I had, yes you can get cheaper but you want the job done properly then you have to pay the higher price. 16gb of ram and 1tb of storage and Ryson 7 and GEforse GTX graphics card is a good combination to make a nice laptop. There is better but your have to pay 500 more on top.

5.0 out of 5 stars The performance

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat laptop all around but one issue is it doesn’t support two external monitors at 1080p and you have to buy an hdmi to usb converter and even then the signal from that second converted monitor doesn’t display in 1080

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a really lovely laptop – its a bit old these days. Great screen, really clear and very fast. However, I discovered that the USB-C port is not thunderbolt and will not connect to another screen. There is a HDMI port which is great for a second screen but you can’t attach two screens or do much more than use the USB-c for charging phones etc.
A good fast laptop let down by an old USB-c port.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, 16GB RAM, RTX 3070ti one for reference.

If you’re looking for a very powerful, compact, all-in-one computer you can put away when not in use, then it’ll be perfect for you, but its really loud fans and comical battery life won’t make it a very good portable workstation. I’m very satisfied with it because I wanted the former, would recommend getting a cooling stand for it if you plan on doing performance intensive stuff on it, though (3d rendering, modern games, etc), because as loud as the fans are, nothing small enough to fit into the case will be amazing at cooling hardware as powerful as what this laptop has.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo it runs like a dream when not doing anything too taxing. Had a few framerate drops on certain games but for the money paid I am pleased with the overall performance.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWHAT I liked you can max out the storage with a ssd and Nvme when it plugged in its like a rocket. It got that 3070 rtx is always a good thing for video editing , unreal engine or Twinmotion it is nice but, upgrade the ram to32 gb. I did that I wish the ram could go to 64gb or more but its not a deal breaker for the price. I wish it was a thunderbolt instead of a usb. Other than that its the fastest computer i have and i have a M1 mini and a zoltac zbox i7 32gb gpu 2070 which runs faster the mac but not as fast as this laptop.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersBought this for my work as an industrial programmer.
Out of necessity I upped the license to Windows Pro.

Once loaded with the software I use on a daily basis it was apparent that it needed more RAM.
Increased the RAM to 32GB and added a 1TB SSD for additional storage, which was a very easy upgrade.

Battery life was two hours at best, and there is no battery upgrade currently available.
I often work on sites with little or no power out in the field, so for me this is a problem.
I started to run a custom power setup, and battery life is improving, but its a slow process to optimise battery life over performance loss.

The large screen is crisp and clear.

When running on mains the illuminated keyboard is very useful for working in poor light.

It’s not the lightest laptop, so holding it in one hand (something I do daily whilst setting up field devices) for anything longer than ten minutes can be a bit of a strain.

Overall it’s proven to be a good purchase, and comparable to all other laptops I’ve used.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this for design work and photo/video editing, for which it is brilliant. The only letdown is the utterly rubbish battery life. Even on ‘battery saver’ and running just a Chrome browser, it is depleted faster than a cheap AAA into a short circuit.

Excellent gaming machine when plugged in and you can easily crank the settings up to high/max with at least 100fps dependant on the game, but the power brick runs really, really hot after an hour.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis laptop only give a 100w 3070 mobile graphic card with a poor 180w ac adaptorwhich is so weak for gaming not even beat my friends Lenovo 130w 3060 laptop with a 300w ac adaptor. Don’t be fooled by the fancy title, the total power of 180w will make you so miserable that it will drain your battery even while it is plugged in.
But I would say it is still a good laptop, it meets my requirements for an external screen and the occasionally gaming without any problems. With a decent quality and fine cooling it is a plus for this price, but not comparable to the other competitors!
