a little fidly but ultimately does the job. great to have the extra space around the sink and be able to store stuff out the way. would recommend, just a bit patience building it!!
Fantastic! Easy assembly, brilliant for around the pipe work! Has created so much more room under the sink. I Highly recommend.
I had a standard arrangement under the sink – a unit with a shelf halfway up. As it is quite a deep cupboard this meant that not only could I not reach the items at the back of the cupboard, but I had forgotten what was in there! This unit was incredibly easy to construct and because the shelf sections are perforated (without decreasing the strength at all) I can see what I have immediately. The design of the unit means that all cupboard space is fully utilised as the shelving fits around it. Another useful feature is that you put the shelf sections in place after you have placed the frame in the cupboard
This was a game changer for me as under my sink was so messy. It is adjustable and fits perfect. It can be a bit flimsy if you don’t have it properly installed and tight up against the unit but once it’s installed properly it’s grea
Very easy to put together but beware you may have broken bits of white plastic my broken bit’s were the white stud things in the telescopic poles
Exactly what it says it will do. I am really happy with mine and I honestly cannot recommend it enough to anyone that has issues with their under sink storage.
Bit fiddly to put together and feels flimsy when assembled but does work, especially if you put heavier items on the bottom shelf
I have used two of these. The first under the sink in my kitchen and the other under the sink in the utility room. I move house quite often and this time moved into a new-build which didn’t have any shelves under the sink. Not only does it provide me with two shelves but I can reconfigure them to fit any space or product. I’m moving again shortly so these will definitely be coming with me!
Easy to put together, robust, solid when erected and can fit just about anywhere. It allows the use of wasted space you often find under the sink. Stops an often cluttered area in to one that screams – organised and I can find what I’m looking for – Love i
I have been thinking about getting one of these shelving units for quite some time and I’m glad I finally purchased one. It arrived before expected date and it is great for the cupboard underneath the kitchen sink with all the pipework. There was a screw missing but I sent an email to the company and they sent a replacement packet of screws which I received the next day. Easy assembly and does the job.
4 stars only as it’s a tad flimsy but having said that I’ve definitely gained more space and it’s now easier to access everything, so I’m glad I bought it. Brilliant idea to maximise what you can store in a very awkward cupboard … nothing too heavy of course.
I was happy with this item. I have set it in place. It is adaptable for the under sink space, and can be adjusted to accommodate tall bottles/ containers. I would recommend it. It is also sturdy and easily cleaned.
I wanted an extra shelf under the sink and ordered this, easy enough to install but my undersink has so many extra pipes This shelving unit only gives a little extra space as I placed the shelves around the pipes…
if my wife told me she like it and to buy another one , be sure that this thing its good . not very sturdy ( in the end its plastic , not metal ) . be carful on asembly , since the plastic screws have some very sharp edges at some points , i cut my hand on that , but if you are careful its not a big issue . remember , those are plastic , screws , dont treat them like metal. on metal you can tight them to the maximum , on plastic , if you do that you will ruin it .
Before purchasing this incredibly useful item, everything was just piled in on top of each other, and even though I organised it many times before with boxes etc, it still ended up like a bomb site. I didn’t feel like it freed up any actual space in the cupboard so I can fit more in (as you can see by the photo it is very full) and it took a while to work our the best structure for what I need to store, the organising is ideal, and everything now has its section – so no more throwing anything in, or pulling everything out to find what I need. It’s very sturdy and easy to assemble too! Not sure how I coped before or why I didn’t get one sooner. Would definitely recommend a million times over.
A bit of a pain to assemble (mainly due to the space I’m working with being very complex) and it could use a couple of extra shelves (or at least the option to buy extras) but overall very satisfied
found so many duplicates of items when I emptied under the sink to fir this in, hoping the rack with resolve this issue and make it easier to find things as there are now 3 levels instead of a messy pile
Failed to check the minimum width on ordering, so unit wouldn’t fit in the undersink cupboard. Solved this by sawing the metal shelf supports to achieve a good fit. Also had to saw off top of the plastic frame to fit in under the u-bend. Despite all this, it made a sturdy shed unit, and I was pleased with the result!
Despite my wife warned me that it was useless and I was wasting the money, as soon as I assembled the shelves she couldn’t imagine how the cabinet became so well organised.
I managed to work around the pipes, double the amount of items we could storage under the sink, organising the chemicals and hanging a mini brush with a S hook as well. It doesn’t change you life straight away, but for sure it helps organising your cabinet, and if your wife is happy your life change!!!
Unfortunately it did not fit under the sink as the idiots who did the kitchen did not leave enough room at the side in order to get this unit in place! :-@ But have been able to use it in another cupboard to replace the useless bin contraction that had been put in so have ended up still please with it.
Really great idea and does the job well.
Be careful with single cupboards. I had to try assemble it whilst in the cupboard as it wouldn’t fit past the door hinge if I assembled it outside the cupboard. Even then it was a very tight squeeze.
I also feel its a bit pricey for what it is. Its a few piles, a plastic support and a few plastic slats.
What a complete mess the cupboard under my kitchen sink was! Baskets sat on top of one another full of cleaning products at the back, awkward to get to without knocking the plumbing & products thrown back in there because it was too much effort to pull the baskets back out!!
NOT ANY MORE!!!!
This superb easy to put together shelving unit has transformed my domestic life!
I have way too many (but necessary) pipes in this cupboard, at first I didn’t think it would fit around them but it has and I’m a happy customer! Wish I’d have known about this gem years ago!!
Good little product. Fits under the sink perfectly although the shelves could be a bit deeper, as I’ve got quite a bit of space left in front of the unit. Not a problem though. It would be good if there was an option to buy additional pieces of the shelf, as when you extend it there aren’t enough to fill both top and bottom.
Delivery was very good arrived in good time . Easy to assemble only one thing I was not happy with on one side the shelf, it does not allow you to use different heights you can only attach shelf on the bottom so you are loosing shelf space , it’s a shame . Love the way you can extend and they are sturdy .
When our single sink was replaced with a double, it presented a problem for storage as the old shelf no longer fitted. This contraption looked like the answer and arrived in good time. It was a bit of a challenge to assemble and took a while for me to decide on the best way to fit it around our somewhat complex pipes. However it is doing a good job now. It has expanded to fit around 2 wastes and because you can fit the shelves at the height you want, iI have managed to fit most of my cleaning materials in the space. I would have liked a couple of extra sections of shelf, hence the 4 stars; at present there are gaps between the shelf sections at the maximum extension so I have put most things in baskets rather than directly on the shelves so things don’t fall through. It’s a great solution to the problem and certainly cheaper than getting a carpenter to make a shelf that would fit round the plumbing. Recommended.
I wasn’t sure if this would work or not but decided to purchase it anyway. And even though the layout of the U bend under my sink made this quite tricky to put together (I’ve had to put it in at a slight angle and bend the cross beams a bit), it still works fine and does a great job in keeping under the sink tidy. Just check that the depth will suit your cupboard as if you have a lot of pipes under there you may have some difficulty with the cross beams like I did. Still a great product and a real space saver.
I got this to fit underneath my kitchen sink which is where I keep all my cleaning supplies, along with things such as windscreen cleaner for the car, candles (to use in the event of powercuts), etc.
I was doubtful that I would be able to find an organiser that would fit successfully around the plumbing – but this one did it effortlessly and, indeed, provided me with a selection of alternative arrangements for unit width, shelf height (or indeed whether to put the removeable shelf segments in place at all). It is very easy to assemble – the nuts that secure the expandable rods that support the shelves are designed to be tightened by hand – no tools are required.
As mentioned in some other reviews; the plastic from which it is made is not heavy, but it is perfectly adequate for holding the items that I wanted it to, and once assembled the unit is sufficiently rigid.
In short – it is the perfect unit for the purpose for which it is intended and I would recommend it to a friend or relative without reservation.
Neat, very easy to put together shelf unit that will fit around the pipes under the sink. It is quite shallow, however, and I would have to buy another to fit in front of it, to make full use of the space under the sink. It does look very neat and it is firm enough to support the various things I have put on the shelves. It is an ingenious idea and quite inexpensive. I’m wondering now how easy it will be to clean (on the rare occasions when I would even consider doing this). The shelves would probably go in the dishwasher providing they can stand the heat. Other wise, their texture means that they’ll have to be washed in a bowl of hot, soapy water periodically.
After seeing how organised and orderly other people’s under sink spaces looked after buying this product my OCD told me ‘I must buy this product or forever be in peril to insuperior cupboard organising.’ It is a good product BUT I am glad that I managed to get an inexpensive one because whilst it is a good product it fails to mention anywhere in the product description that you can only use the top holes and bottom holes to connect/ erect the product together and if like under my sink the space is not very tall (it fits the product underneath my sink but once the top shelf is installed you wonder ‘how could I possibly store anything there that isn’t taller than a mouse?’) there is not much space saving to be done. I have managed to make my under sink space look much neater however I wish someone had mentioned the rod connection problem I encountered.
A good item and certainly helped sort out my under sink mess. Do yourself a favour though, read the instructions fully before putting it together under the sink. I didn’t (thinking ‘how hard can it be?) and put it together wrong the first couple of times!! Bending under the sink to make it fit around the pipes was a bit back breaking but not hard really if you are logical which I am not obviously! It does the job okay once fitted so would recommend it if you are looking for something like this.
We found that with a dishwasher on one side and a washing machine on the other we have a few more pipes than shown in the picture. So we adapted the shelf by cutting some of the cross pieces to fit around the pipes for the top shelf and created a full width shelf for the top. My hubby glued some of the cross pieces together so they would be firmer. We didn’t put any cross pieces on the bottom but fitted the two metal rods along the back to stop bottles being pushed to the bak of the cupboard….the result is great .
This is just what I needed, having amateurs redoing kitchen (including me!) we had to use a shelf supplied for one cupboard to box in pipework. We then ended up with one less shelf. I knew I could trust amazon for a remedy so i went without the under sink one, and then came up with this. I was not disappointed and this did the job even better then if I had had a shelf.
Even if you have a shelf, you can move it to another cupboard to make it neater too.
It seems flimsy when you first open it, but when you put it together it is strong. I haven’t made it the full length of the cupboard so that I can stash tall bottles of bleach to the far end of the cupboard, where my toddler would not see or be able to remove easily.
I have put baskets on the shelves (one for sponges, one for spare washing up liquid lying flat, etc etc) In the pound shop there are baskets that match the white holed shelves but with little coloured handles. I will soon get these so it can look truly immaculate, and organised under there….heaven!
Oh I may get another to put on the top shelf of hubbys wardrobe to stack sweaters, hoodies, cardies etc neatly and make the most of the height/space of that shelf. (how sad am I? lol)
An excellent space saver. I think though, the majority of people have double undersink cabinets in their kitchens. This storage shelf cannot be stretched to the full width of the double cabinet, but will perfectly fit a single one. It still makes a lot of space usable for me, but shame it cannot be extended lengthwise.
I have come back for editing, as have just found the comments where people ask about the dimensions.
The height at which the shelves can be fitted, is very easy to alter, there a lot of extra holes for the bars. The minimum length is 45cm, can be stretched up to 84cm (that’s what I have done), or a bit longer. And the depth is 26cm. Hope, this helps.
