I’ve been saying for years I need a toolkit for small tech repairs and everything else in-between, but could never find one I like the look of. This one popped up on my screen during a lightning deal and I had to grab it!
Has all the screwdriver heads necessary to repair game controllers, phones, HDD’s etc. The quality is great for the price too hopefully this lasts for life!
Having managed to crack my 9-month-old laptop screen (do not ask). I faced the dilemma of replacing it, which is expensive, getting it repaired, again risky and expensive or fixing it myself. The latter would be risky, stupid, and potentially very expensive. Naturally, I opted to fix it myself. I sourced the screen and eagerly awaited its arrival, upon which I discovered that I needed some fancy tools to take my laptop apart. Unperturbed I searched on Amazon and found this piece of kit and crikey, what a piece of kit!
I do not know about anyone else but when searching on Amazon I always look at the poor reviews first and then the good ones. I find that sometimes the poor reviews are unfounded, or customers have bought the wrong item or are complaining about something else altogether. Anyway, I digress.
This kit arrived and it is amazing. Too many bits and pieces to mention but it held all the tools I needed. Some people have stated that one needs pliers to remove the ‘bits’ that are remarkably close together, but I found the supplied tweezers more than capable of retrieving the part that I wanted to use, even the ‘bits’ in the middle of the set! Another has stated that the brush does not fit in the box, but I can assure that it does. (see video) Anyway, I managed to replace my lap-top screen and saved lots of money. I am pleased with my purchase which I consider to be excellent quality. The ‘bits’ are strong enough to endure the torque required to tighten or undo the tiny fittings they are intended for, and the supplied case is sturdy enough to keep them all together. One very satisfied customer!
I paid 25.37 pounds for the set, same as other precision screwdriver sets. The metallic gray box seems very resistant, there are 164 pieces inside. For now if I have to find fault it is that not all of the tips have the metallic gray coating (only half do) and that there aren’t enough “U” tips.
I really like the range of head styles on offer with this kit. All those weird small screws on glasses, cameras, small electronics that one struggles to find when they are needed.
Also think that the accesories, like the magnetiser, brush and leverage tools (for splitting mouldings etc) are a great way to round out the kit.
Definitely recommended if you have need of small screwdriver bits with odd profiles.
If you are in to replacing your own batteries and other such repairs that should be trivial but nowadays usually sees you buying a new device, this is the sort of selection of bits that you require. This includes a number of bits for nuisance fixings commonly found on modern electronics a driver for which could easily cost you more than this entire kit is worth. For the cost this is a very good quality set. It also comes well packaged in a sturdy box to keep everything together and looks higher end than the purchase price would suggest.
Sure, here’s a possible Amazon review for a precision screwdriver set:
I recently purchased this precision screwdriver set and I’m extremely happy with it. The set includes a wide variety of screwdriver heads, making it perfect for working with small electronics or other delicate items.
The screwdrivers themselves are well-made and durable, with comfortable handles that make them easy to use for extended periods of time. The heads are also magnetized, which makes it easy to pick up and hold small screws.
One thing I really appreciate about this set is the compact carrying case, which keeps the screwdrivers organized and easy to find. It’s also small enough to fit in a pocket or bag, making it perfect for on-the-go repairs.
Overall, I highly recommend this precision screwdriver set to anyone looking for a high-quality and versatile set of tools. It’s a great value for the price and has everything you need to tackle any small electronics or DIY project.
This product is a must-have for anyone doing any electronic repairs etc.
You literally have bits for every need. As a PC builder and electronic repair enthusiast, this is a must-have
it makes your work efficient and easy I wish it had a de-magnetizer otherwise very sold build and feels like it will last a lifetime.
regarding screwdriver bits being difficult to remove I find the included tweezers are very helpful for that.
Love the product, quality is really good. I would go as far as saying its in par with ifixit tools (I have ifixit tools too), the case it comes in is epic. Would buy agai
I dont, because it implies something is perfect when most things aren’t.
But this is, I don’t have a single complaint. I was expecting crap but I got gold. The case is super high quality, the bits are too and plentiful, I don’t think I’ve come across a single screw in my life this hasn’t a bit for, even proprietary ones like on Xbox controllers are covered!
I have repaired a controller with these, a fire alarm, a pair of binoculars and an Xbox 360, it covers everything!
The screwdriver is high quality, durable. Has a magnetic tip and a free rotating top so you can turn it without needing to adjust your hand position ever two seconds which is grea
This Screwdriver set is great, seems to be very good quality and stood up to use, so far. Having two of each attachment is great as a backup, which many other sets don’t offer. Would definitely recommend.
Really nice, quality toolset. Gave it a 4* based on the fact the bits are very difficult to grip with fingers to remove so I have to remove bits from the outside inwards until I get to the bit I need. Other than that it’s a great box, well made and worth the money.
This is such a handy set to have even if it’s not something you use all the time. For them rare times you need to take something apart to clean or have a look at having this set is so handy as it has so many attachments to fit everything
Fantastic to use when doing odd little jobs on little things such as phones and game pads.
has a variety of screwdrives and can be used for numerous amount of jobs.
Comes in a nice quality case and looks all expensive and compact.
I’d be very surprised if there was a tip size/shape that’s not included in this set. It is very comprehensive. It’s more than just a screwdriver set though. There’s a raft of tools which will support you when you’re opening up devices or boxes with small components. Tools are included to allow you to work with tiny items, safely, many of which are quality of life tools. These include tools that keep items secure whilst you work, reducing the chance to lose small screws, as well as tools for gaining access to devices. For example, suction grip, flexible extension, lever tools, fine point tweezers and magnetizing point.
It’s well laid out, with tips coming in two colours to differentiate what you’re looking for. The panel which latches closed is a helpful addition to the case. It’s very well laid out. It’s only the cleaning brush that sits loose. It’s a stylish case too.
It seem very durable. Even the brush has retained it’s shape after some considerable use.
There are similar products which are cheaper, so shop around to make sure you get the tools you need. This is one of the funkier looking kits though and considerable thought has been put in to the inlay.
Screwdriver set for laptops, PCs, phones and more.
This is absolutely a good quality set and versatile in what it can help with. The storage case it all comes in, is a decent one, it’s solid, it’s tough and clasps shut tight and keeps everything safe. Every single individual piece has its own spot, each one is named too. In addition to them all being named, you’ve also an information sheet, which shows each piece and also inform you of which drill bit, would be best suited to what device you’re trying to repair.
You get 164 pieces, this includes an adjustable screwdriver, this can extend in length but you also have a slightly flexible soft extension bar too, giving you a good length to work with then. All of the screwdriver, deep hole and socket bits are easy to read, easy to grab out and attach, they stay in the screwdriver well.
You get spudgers, which are opening tools, you also get a couple more opening tools. You get a suction cup, which is great for laptops and phones.
There is a built in magnetizer, a brush, and a pair of fine tipped tweezers. There is a type of safe box built into the case also, so you can keep safe all of the pins and screws, whilst you’re working away, this does contain some small pins already for use.
I do think this is a fantastic set, it seems good quality. The screwdriver isn’t bad, I like how each piece is named. It feels like everything you need to repair your devices, is in this box, so I would recommend it. It’s slightly more than I thought it would be that’s all.
I have used few other sets of precision screwdrivers before and this one looks almost exactly like two of them.
Currently this set is costing 40.49 which is a bit expensive in my opinion.
The bits and pieces with the set are good and most of them are magnetically attached with the small screws from the devices.
The driver handle seems do flimsy and plastic but this makes it easier to hold and operate.
Overall, decent quality item but not a great deal for me when considering similar products with cheaper price tag.
This is a decent quality bit set for small electronics. You have pretty much every small bit size you will need for electronics including a small range of security bits. The magnetisation is plenty strong enough to hold screws in place when reassembling and to pull them clear when disassembling. There are a nice range of plastic spudgers, but I found that I still needed my trusty metal spudger when the casing was particularly tight and needed a thin blade and a bit of leverage.
There are 4 bits in here that I find extremely helpful, and they are the long reach bits. They can get down where the screw hole is deep, and a standard bit won’t do the job because the screwdriver body won’t go in the hole.
Also, the case is handy — there is a little magnet section to hold screws whilst stripping down or there is a compartment where (for the spudgers) where you could store the screws safely.
The only thing that lets this set down is the current price of 40. It is a good set, but I have had others with much the same set up at half this price. If you were taking a car apart, I would say buy top quality tools, but the same doesn’t really apply to electronics. I wouldn’t spend much more than 20 for a set like this.
I repair computers and various other electronic devices as part of my day job, so already have an assortment of small screwdrivers and other tools, but sometimes it would be handy to have everything together in a set, so I know I can just pick up the set and head out the door, knowing that I should have pretty much any size and type screwdriver bit that I am likely to need — this is where a little kit like the C164 from JAMEKY comes in.
The set comes in a very nice hard plastic storage case, with nice hinges (not the bendy plastic that splits) and a nice locking clasp.
The top half of the case is home to some handy accessories for repairing phones/tablets etc and includes a small suction cup to help remove screens, 2 plastic pry tools, 1.5 and 2.0mm x 45mm flat head and Phillips bits, as well as a magnetiser/demagnetiser and a handy storage compartment that comes with a small pack of tiny screws and a guitar pick type openers. You also get a 13cm flexible shaft and beneath this is a pair of tweezers.
The bottom half of the case is where the 128pc assortment of different 28mm long bits are located (these include Phillips, slotted, Hex, Torx, Pozidrive, Tri-Wing, Pentalobe, Triangle, U-Shaped, Square, Standoff and a SIM card ejector pin). You also have the handle/bit holder which is very nice to use, as it is a good thickness, has a rotating end for precision and one handed operation and it also has a handy extending feature (you just need to pull the collet and the bit holder pulls out and locks into one of its 2 extended positions.
Finally, you have a small magnetic attachment, which is handy for picking up those tiny screws that always end up in the most difficult to reach of places and a small ESD anti-static brush that is handy for removing dust.
***** Conclusion *****
I have to say that this little set from JAMEKY is a lot better than I was expecting it to be. I expected a flimsy case and screwdriver bits made from cheese, but they seem to be pretty reasonable quality (you do need to bear in mind that these are for light precision use and not for working on your car).
I like the feel of the handle and find it a really nice size and thickness to use and the extending feature is handy to have. I am also really pleased that there are some longer screwdriver bits included, so I can reach screws that are located deep in recesses.
The electronic repair accessories are nice to have and I really like the little storage compartment — this is a nice and useful touch.
The only thing I find a little annoying is that I find the tweezers really hard to get back into their storage slot, underneath the flexible shaft.
Although the set is quite comprehensive, I do think the price is a little bit on the expensive side, especially when you can get a higher quality set from Bahco that covers most of the screwdriver pieces included in this set for around half the price. Having said that, if you purely want a set for electronic repairs this is a pretty good package and definitely worth considering.
I received this adjustable screwdriver set through the Amazon vine program
What a great screwdriver set , I must admit it has just about every type of small screwdriver head you would need for that intricate job on a ( computer, camera, drone, glasses, phones, et cetra
plus all those jobs that have those very small fixing )
Heads ranging from, phillip,Torx, Slotted, Pozidrive, Tri-Wing, Triangle and Square, just to mention a few
In total there’s 164 pieces including a soft handle that Will hold any head plus a flexible extension, all in one box, which looks to be strong and durable and made from a good quality material a fold down lid with a good strong snap catch which holds it nicely shut
This set is definitely a must have in your tool kit if you work on intricate items, especially computers but I found it very handy for replacing a motor on my drone , and I’m sure it will be very a handy screwdriver set in the future
A first class, good quality adjustable screwdriver set
I hope you found this review helpful
This is a really good little screwdriver set that is housed in a neat little box and then arrived in a smart little presentation box. The first thing we did was tighten the screws in my sunglasses and then my husband did a few little jobs and pronounced this a really handy little kit.
For 44.99 this represents good value and there is a instruction leaflet telling you all the various uses for the different little bits. All in all a great set and good value for money.
This is one of this multi useful kits which offers more than you really need. With a single handle which all the bits fit onto.
The main handle is about 130mm pulling out to 190mm by pushing the silver ring around the end forward, this releases the shaft of the screwdriver.
There’s a screw head for most occasions, ranging from the basic flat and cross head to the more complicated stars and hex. All slotting into the screwdriver handle with ease.
This can be used for many small jobs, I’ve used this to strip down laptops, phones and, more recently, a temperamental gaming console controller and this little kit worked exceptionally well with no hassles at all.
You get more than just the driver and bits, you also get prise bars, triangular prise tools, an extension bar for the screwdriver, a brush and a plunger type thing.
The handle’s made well with a rotating end which allows you turn the driver without losing the grip/traction.
The bits are made of a strong metal and can handle the screwing/unscrewing of many, many screws. Even the smaller heads seem to be able to handle a bit of roughness.,
All the pieces come in a solid feeling case. This case is a nice size, 185mm by 105mm by 45mm and opens up to reveal the tools and bits inside.
In all, this is a fine piece of kit which really does help repair small electricals and strip down other small electrical equipment. It may be just short of 45 but, if you do a lot of work with small electrical devices then this could be money well spent.
So I am a fan of fixing it yourself. This neat little tool kit will help you do this, it is especially useful for electronics, sunglasses, watches and a variety of small screw jobs.
Size- It is a good size and it contains most, if not all, tiny screw bits that you are likely to come across. Additionally, it contains: two plastic sponges, a pair of tweezers, an extension tool, a brush, a suction cup and a set of small screws.
Case- The case itself seems well made and put together. The bits and the tools slot in tightly and are unlikely to fall out during transport. There is a small magnet which is useful for holding small screws or parts of electronics however it is very small so unlikely to be very useful.
Price- Currently this is a expensive toolkit, compared to others on the market.
Areas of improvement- my one gripe with this product is that the bits are very difficult to get out of the case. You need a pair of pliers really to get each bit out, otherwise your fingers will struggle to grip the bit enough to pull it out without hurting yourself on the other bits. And for the price I would expect it to be easier. For instance, in another electronics toolkit I have, the bits are in foam which makes it much easier to get them out.
Summary: For the sheer volume of the bits and accessories in this tool kit, I would say is a solid four out of five. I took one star off the final judgement due to the annoyance of being unable to get bits out. At one point I used the little magnet bit to try pull another bit out, however this did not work.
I hope this review and video is helpful, please let me know. Thank you for reading it.
I was impressed with this set from the moment I opened the excellent case it all comes in, but what you have to remember is that these precision kits are not meant to be used as ‘beefy’ or ‘heavy duty’ use, and they guaranteed for one year should anything go amiss, which if they are used properly shouldn’t
The maxim of “the right tools for the right job” definitely applies here, and having spent a lifetime using tools similar to these I was looking forward to trying them out.
There are just so many parts to it, but basically I see it as a comprehensive small screwdriver set first and foremost, but geared more towards phone repairs, but the kit also includes a pair of tweezers, a small brush, and a ‘flexible drive shaft’, which personally think is pointless, but I am sure someone will want to use it.
Inbuilt into the case lid is a magnetiser/demagnetiser, which I found really odd – one that you could actually remove from the case would have been much better and easier to use.
I tried it out on a watch I was repairing and also re-assembled an old Nokia phone too, all trouble free and no problems at all, a joy to use.
I give this excellent kit 5 stars, nothing not to like really.
Quite a comprehensive set of screwdriver bits and accessories in a robust plastic case with securing tabs that separates all the items nicely. As well as the 132 screw/socket heads of different types and sizes, there is also the screwdriver handle with extending shaft, a bendable extension bar, anti-static tweezers, two opening tools, sucker cup for safe holding of a screen and magnetiser/demagnetiser. There is also another compartment with lid in the case that holds a bag of assorted screws to replace any lost and five plastic triangle pr tools.
The screwdriver handle fits well in the hand and is easy to grip. The extension bits lock into the handle and can be removed by pulling back on the end. The metal extension bit allows the screwdriver to extend an extra two and a half inches. The bendable extension bar can bend a full 180 degrees to access those hard to reach places.
A great set with all small screwdriver bits imaginable, great for a phone or other electronics enthusiast.
I have had a few of these all in one electronics master kits, but they have always been really cheap and I knew that they would likely fail on anything too tight. This kit is excellent, you can immediately see and feel the quality as soon as you open the clever and compact storage case. There is literally every possible security bit in there and it also includes screen separation and case trim tools for opening and fixing things. Very good value for such an impressive setup.
