Got these for hunting in forestry and bogs, great for long walks/ hikes. Great ankle and calf fit, yet still roomy for thick socks for the colder months, Not having a buckle like my friends is a pro in my eyes as they tend to rust over time and eventually don’t look as good.
These are the only wellies I wear.
I’m a professional dog walker and walk around 15 miles s day. My feet are never sore and I dream spring when I need to wear cooler footwea
I bought these primarily for walking the dog and for wildlife photography. I’ve had them for several years and they still look as good as new. I’m quite slim and I love how neat they are on my leg – not gapping like so many other boots. I walk for at least an hour a day in these and have never found them uncomfortable. I live in a country that is very cold in winter and these are fine (for an hour) even at temps as low as -15 degrees (celsius). Below that, I just use a second pair of socks and they’re fine. They look quite stylish – I have no problem going into a shop after my walk. I would highly recommend them.
My last pair cracked on the top which was disappointing but I do walk 5/8 miles daily and they lasted three winters.
This pair doesn’t have a calf muscle extender which is a bit limiting for wearing welly socks.
Very comfortable and a great boot. I would highly recommend, especially for dog walkers.
These are sold as walking wellies with much better comfort levels. They are really just fairly basic, no more comfy than most, oversized expensive wellies. After doing so much research into a more comfortable option, I’m very disappointed. Had to put a size 5 innersole into a size 4 boot as they are so big but hopefully that will make them more comfortable!
Just fantastic. As comfy as slippers, as flexible and grippy as trainers, as warm and robust as a good pair of walking boots, as waterproof as, well, wellies.
I’ve worn these about fifteen hours a day for six consecutive days in the Somme-like conditions of Glastonbury and didn’t have to think about them / my feet / soreness / blisters etc. at all. They served me brilliantly – I walked several miles a day through every different consistency of mud known to man and then felt fresh enough to dance till the early hours. The previous year my B&Q wellies nearly ruined my festival; my feet were in agony.
As well as festivals, my trusty Aigles have done me proud through hundreds of miles of forest/coast/trail walking and I’ve been totally dry, warm and comfortable the whole time. There’s really no need for walking boots in the winter when you’ve got these.
They’re expensive but I reckon they’re worth it and they’ll last years.
Other reviews said the sizing was generous and to order a smaller size, which I did, but they were way too tight. I then ordered half a size more than normal and they fit perfectly with thick socks. The exchange was no trouble.
Top Tip: Don’t bother buying the Aigle Swipol spray to maintain them. It’s literally just standard silicone spray in a different can for five times the price. You can buy silicon spray in any DIY or plumbing shop. It’s currently available in Screwfix for about two quid.
One other thing – I think people in Hunter wellies look like clueless city-dwellers with more money than sense, following the herd and paying through the nose for a brand name. Do yourself a favour and get Aigle instead – you’re paying for the craftsmanship not the label. Aigle and Le Chameau are classy!
EDIT [OCT 2021]. It’s now 3 years since I wrote this review and I stand by every word of it. These wellies are still in fantastic condition and still as comfy as ever. It’s actually been 4 years since I bought them and they’ve seen some pretty nasty conditions in that time and haven’t always been well cared for, but they’re showing no signs of giving up. Absolute quality!
EDIT [NOV 2022]. Still going strong! Every year these bad boys are averaging out at better value in terms of pennies per mile. Best. Wellies. Ever.
EDIT [NOV 2023]. Still good as new!

I practically live in wellies and these are Extremely comfy and lightweight but I am quite short in the leg being 5ft 2 and they felt too long for me which caused them to crease a bit near the ankle. If they did a short leg version I would buy them over Muck Boots any day!
Good, hardwearing boots comfortable fit, quick delivery, brought these instead of hunters, they don’t look as fashionable but since hunters are no longer made in the uk the quality of them is terrible, so hoping these last longer!
Fantastic wellies. The sole is very supportive for (dog) walking, with a good grip. They look great too.
The only downside for me is that the calf is a little snug – not a lot of room for tucking in jeans etc down the leg.
I bought these for my wife. She loves these boots. I got these as a replacement for an old pair of the exact same style of Aigle. It does appear that the new boots are a little bigger than the old boots despite being the exact same style and size. Nothing a thick pair of socks doesn’t sort out.
So far pleased with the quality as they seem a sturdy boot with good grip and comfort, the proof will be how long will they last so can not give them 5 stars yet.
Great wellies, perfect for warmer months, I have the iso ines too for cold winter days.
Very comfortable, I wear them every day for mucking out horses and dog walking. Used to buy Hunters but the quality now is rubbish so am Aigle convert now. We all have them in our household.
I’m very pleased with these boots. I usually take a UK size 6 to 6.5 but I had read a few reviews beforehand many of which suggested ordering a size down. I chose UK5.5 or EU 39 and they fit me perfectly. I am wearing them on a daily basis for a dog walk without any problem. I live by the sea and my dogs are thrilled that I am paddling in the sea with them!
These wellies are comfortable and fit nicely. With other boots (Hunter and Barbour) I’ve had to go up a size which would make them too big, but these are just about right with room for thick socks or two pairs of socks. The grip is very good on both mud and wet rock. Overall, I’m very pleased. Please let me have found a pair of boots that will stay the distance.
As pointed out in other reviews, the fit is quite roomy, but with thick socks I havn’t experienced any problem at all. The boot is nice and tall, fits comfortably on the calf and has a good tread. I went for the unisex version as I felt the women’s may have been a little narrow on the leg for me. I am very pleased with them, they look good and are comfortable on my daily dog walks. The sole has a good grip in muddy conditions, which was important, having gone flying numerous times previously! Hopefully they will last a good while and not split on the heels like my last two pairs of muckboots.
The wellies arrived within a couple of days, I ordered a size 5 and they are a perfect fit, I have worn them a few times now and they are really comfortable. I’m looking forward to see how they fare over winter with regular use. Agile was recommended to me and I would recommend them too.
Had been considering these wellington boots for sometime. Found them sturdy and excellent for dog walking. I ordered my normal size but pleased there was sufficient room to allow me to wear walking socks. I own Hunter wellingtons, which have served me well but find the Aigle wellingtons stronger and more comfortable.
Fantastic boots, most comfortable I be ever worn. Great price and I be wasted a similar amount on three pairs recently which haven’t lasted so I m very impressed by the quality, the look and though they’re unisex they’re perfect shape for ladies. Delighted with them.
I took notice of previous reviews that said these boots were on the large size, so I bought a size 8 for my 8.5 feet. Only just fit: no room for thick socks. Will do okay as summer wellies. They are comfortable, though.
Very comfortable boot, great grip. I am normally a five but got a five and a half so I could wear thick socks in winter as wellies are cold in winter. They fit great with the thick socks.
These come up rather big, but ok for thicker socks. They smell rather strong. They are good quality. Less slipping & sliding in mud with these. More comfortable than usual wellies for walking.
This is my second pair of Aigle boots and I cannot praise them anough. They are soft, supple, comfortable and hard wearing, what more could you ask for. You won’t regret buying a pair.
Best wellies I’ve had, good grip and nice cosy sole, could walk miles!! Which I have done and through VERY muddy fields and my feet was nice and dry and warm, Delivery was on time.
Bought these at a fantastically reduced price in the ny sale. I walk over 4 miles each day and suffer from Achilles tendinitis and a Morton’s neuroma so needed something that would not crucify my feet. These are so comfortable and excellent quality. Although they may appear a little chunky they’re actually quite light weight. Having worn them now everyday for a month they show no signs of degradation.
I recently purchased the Aigle Parcours 2 after 2 previous pairs of famous brand wellies beginning with H, and I am very pleased with them indeed. Very supportive around the ankle and foot, good tread for walking on muddy ground, and incredibly comfortable due to their soft insole. Come highly recommended to dog walkers!
Never had Aigle before but wanted to give them a try as they seem more robust than say Hunters that don’t seem to last more than a year – such a waste of money. Am delighted with my new purchase. Have only worn them a couple of times so far so cant contact on the durability but they are extremely comfortable and keep my feet warm and dry (what more could you want with a pair of wellies) – definitely recommend them. I bought size 6.5, i generally take a shoe size 6.5 but a welly I’d buy a 6 but they didn’t have 6 available so went for 6.5 – they are a bit bit but i wear one pair of normal socks plus one thick pair of welly socks and they are just fine.
Swift service and loving the boots so far. Comfy and good grip. Now to see if they stand the test of time and don’t split like hunters and le chameau. The reviews were good so I’m hopeful.
