The sizes are quite verse in the range of sizes, it is pretty strong, except from the smallest and key which I had arrived bent so the smaller sizes can bend easily, but the others are quite strong. It appears exactly as advertised and is very minimal.
I’ve had various Allen key sets over the years and they always fall out of their inadequate holders and go missing. These are really great- a nice tight fit in the book-style case, good length (easier to grip) and a set of both imperial and metric at such a good price- what’s not to like? Thanks Amazon!
Very good set with a handy plastic case that keeps them all together. Especially like the ball ends – makes using these much easier. Good range of sizes – will update if I run into any problems but so far very happy
I ordered these on the Saturday in New York. They were delivered on the Sunday in Scotland for me arriving home. Very sturdy sets of both imperial and metric sizes and the long handle makes it so easy to turn the bolts. Great set and a very reasonable price
Extremely good value of two sets of Allen keys. 90 deg long ball end, 1 set metric & 1 imperial.
Very well designed & engineered product, pleased as punch and the moment, hope it lasts & they wear well!
I have an old Allen key set that opens like a penknife with about 20 keys, It’s bulky to say the least.
With this set you can get into awkward areas where you need to have the key at an angle to the Hex nut or screw.
A good investme
I’m an Engineer who currently spends most of his time in an assembly support role. I keep these in my toolbox which is always at hand.
The ball end is especially helpful, and the sturdy, long arms are fantastic for the money. I have only found use for the metric set so far but for those who need imperial, I have no doubt the set will be just as useful, as it contains metric & imperial. For 15 I’d recommend to anyone
I can never find the right allen key when I need one so having a complete set of different sizes is great. These seem to be well made with long handles which makes them much easier to use and get good leverage. The holder is clearly marked with the sizes and there are metric and imperial so I feel like I am prepared for all eventualities!
A comprehensive set of Allen Keys both in good old Imperial sizes and Metric.
Nice and long which also should help losing the very small sizes.
All lightly greased as one would expect and on the end of the long shaft they have a sort of knuckle joint which helps speed up unscrewing very long screws.
I have not managed to damage one…
Really good set – metric and imperial with two good clips to keep them organised. These are all long versions of the allen keys with a socket end on the long side of each one. Even the small ones feel solid which is not always the case. In a semi polished black finish they look like they should last. Very handy to have these comprehensive sets, you never know when you get confronted with some odd ball choice on equipment these days.
A good solid allen key set, that’s slightly cheaper than what you can get in a local hardware shop. Solid metal, no bend, I imagine some smoothing on the hex if the wrong size is used consistently, but otherwise fit for purpose with a wide range of sizes in the set.
This is my husband’s review, as I’ve not got a clue what you’d use Allen keys for.
It was lucky that these came on to Amazon Vine because I needed to replace some old, worn out ones. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these considering they’re AmazonBasics. They arrive properly preserved by being covered in machine oil and in a plastic holster which can be suspended from a hook. The holsters are marked up metric and imperial so that the types don’t get mixed up. Having a ball end on them means you can get at difficult Allen studs from an angle, unlike normal ones where the keys has to be straight with the stud.
Surprisingly solid set considering that this is from the Amazon Basics range. Comes with both Metric and Imperial measurements in two different sets so you cant mix them up this should cope with most Allen Key tasks. I also really like that they are much longer than the standard smaller combined sets and can be used in much deeper areas. Can’t fault them for the money and recommended.
These are a very handy set of hex keys to have around the house. They feel good and strong so no fears of them shearing under pressure. They come in a handy hinged case too so they can all be kept together. Good stuff again from Amazon Basics.
You get a good range of sizes in this package. The keys feel robust, as do their folding holders. The long handles give good leverage.
So far, I’ve used the keys on a few things, such as the kids’ bikes and a self assemble bed, and they seem good (but I’ll update this review if future problems materialise).
My only gripes are that the heavier keys fall out of the holder easily if it is tipped upside down, and the keys were coated in quite a heavy coating of pungent oil, which took a bit of wiping off.
