A good little socket set to keep in the car for little jobs
Massively impressed for the price. Small size set but looks sturdy – only time will tell though. Didn’t realise it came with the allen keys as well, nice bonus.
Excellent quality strong set
Go up to 14mm connections
Good vfm
Excellent quality for this price point. Really surprised at just how good this is.
The socket set is good quality for the price we paid… Exactly what we need
Excellent quality kit, I carry it in my rucksack every day and it’s not too heavy/bulky, you have to open it the right way up or all your bits go flying everywhere, but for the price, quality of the tools and variety you absolutely can’t go wrong!
Good assortment of tools. Look well made and of good quality.
All needed for most things
Already used to mend washing machine and car
Lovely
Ran into issues with the stupid little spanner and Allen key that came with Rattan furniture so ordered this kit to help with this and future DIY projects.
Brilliant box of tools for the price
Ok when my parcel arrived yesterday I was surprised by how small it was but anyway the socket set felt heavy for its size.
Used some of the sockets and bars today and they were small enough for the tight spaces I had to work in.
No problem loosing the nuts and the long reach sockets were a god send.
Ultimately very happy with my purchase.
I really like this set, especially how cheap it was. The bits are very strong which I was not expecting much for the price, but even with extreme force put on them they do not break or flake.
The only issue is the different sizes aren’t perfect, not quite the standard shape and sizes, but still very usable.
It Has a good array of bits and the ratchet feels good and strong, I can’t knock this kit, especially for the price
Lots of bits in the set that cover a lot of uses
For the money you get a lot of extras. Great little set to keep you going. I’m happy with it so far but time will be the ultimate test.
It’s a nice little set goes with me every where set as well
Really good little set to keep in the car just incase. Lots of fittings and a good case.
I always assumed I didn’t need a socket wrench set. I was wrong.
Having spent a recent weekend making IKEA furniture I used this set a lot and it was so much easier than messing around with Allen keys
This set has so far proven to be really good value for money. I managed to put together and take apart a solid ottoman bed, several pieces of furniture and a fair amount of maintenance around our new house. The socket wrench feels sturdy and durable, and I can see the set lasting a long time if you look after it properly.
4 stars cos the case was damaged and it was a faff to send back and get another…
Now, the review… 7 stars
I’m an auto tech and I had all these quarter inch bits and screw drivers in a small box all over each other…
Along come this baby and all of a sudden, handy dandy bits, sockets, screw driver bits etc, all in 1 tiny package…. I’m amazed.
I’ve been using this every single day for a month straight, I thoroughly use and abuse it, they’re excellent quality and super duper sturdy… In fact, you’ll see me point out a 1/4 to 3/8 converter in the video, that’s cos I use the bits and sockets with a 3/8 ratchet for bigger applications. Oops, naughty lol…
The video sort of summarises what I use this socket set for, in cabin, smaller jobs here and there, even within the engine bay..
Love the soft grip on the ratchet, makes a change from the bare metal ones that give you blisters. That slight offset makes a huge difference in certain places.
Tough and capable… You must get 1 of these.
Ps. Between this and the other 46 (or something) piece sets.. Don’t be cheap, this is worth it. Lol
This tool set was a great addition to my kit, and came in handy for a variety of work around the house, from dismantling and reassembling some sofas, building a Ikea desk, and more. It’s got a good range of bits and handles to use, catering for the most common sizes. You won’t be able to use it as a precision tool set, as it doesn’t cater for small sizes. The screw bits are starting to show some wear already with the bronze coating starting to peel, but it hasn’t affected the performance. If the socket wrench handle was a little longer and bigger, it would be a lot easier to use.
An inexpensive 1/4″ socket set was the first set I owned at 16. It broke many years ago and I never replaced it, until now. 40 years on, and a career in engineering later, what a great value quality set this is, presented in a sturdy attractive case. The deep sockets and bendy extension rod are particularly useful for me getting to right places on my motorhome. The whole thing is very well thought out and very well made. I’m a generally particular, fussy person and few things exceed my expectations. This is one of those things. Delighted.
A well thought out set, with useful accessories including screwdriver handle, extension bars, u/j, flex drive and hex keys all thrown in The quality is good. The screwdriver bits are all fitted with square drive collars, which adds to the weight but in practice is very convenient as they then attach directly to the wrench with no fiddling about. The deep-drive sockets come in for more use than I first expected. The ratchet is silky smooth but the wrench verges on being over-large for the smallest fasteners that these sockets fit. Things I have added are 1/4″ square to 1/4″ hex converters, and a T27 bit. As someone else commented, a carry handle for the case would be useful.
Upon opening the case I was very impressed with the quality of the ratchet and sockets however the first socket I tried almost welded itself to ratchet, It was so stuck it took heat and a fair amount of force to release it. I had to fettle the drive square with a dremel otherwise the set would have had to go back. Despite this I am very happy with the set, it represents very good value for money and a great addition to my tool kit.
