Have them in my daughters room and great for the light early mornings and light nights
Extremely soft material, great and elegant mink colour but not too effective with blocking light… I would say they block about 80%, enough to keep them as they really upgrade the windows.
Umi Thermal Insulated Blackout Curtains are an absolute game-changer. These curtains are a perfect blend of style and functionality. The thermal insulation feature keeps my room cozy during the colder months, while also providing a cool retreat during summer. The blackout effect is incredible, blocking out unwanted sunlight and creating a serene environment for relaxation or sleep. The curtains are crafted with high-quality materials, giving them a luxurious and super soft feel. Additionally, the energy-saving benefits are remarkable, as they help reduce my utility bills. With a wide range of colors and sizes available, these curtains are a must-have for any home.
Nice and light blocks sun out and actually keeps your room warm the best curtains I’ve ever had
Curtains are just what I wanted ordered sat an they arrived before delivery date very good, put them up an room nice an dark.
I’ve had these several months now, from late summer through to mid spring, and so far, all is good. They block out light, have kept the room warm, and are easy to use. Not too heavy, or too lightweight, and work on a metal curtain rail absolutely fine
As far as recommending curtains can go, these do what you’d hope any curtains would do.
You can’t really get better than these curtains for the price. They hang well and are soft and drapey. Would recommend ironing them before hanging.
Love them keep light out hang well not a bad word I can say about them will buy again my daughter loves how pink and bright they are in her room 5*all round thank you
The curtains on left left were twice the price and not nearly as good.
I
I really like them and there are light weight
I have bought 6 sets now
Bought these to try and warm up my cold living room. Worked instantly. No more cold breath seen when breathing out. The colour is rich so makes room look warmer and fabric very smooth. A fantastic buy.
I got them
In dark gray and there amazing the black out is super and there super light weight the colour is what I expected and they went up with out been ironed and they still look grea
Lost a 5 star rating as the sad thing is The pack does not include matching tie backs – I bought a grey set of of curtains exactly the same different seller that came with tie backs and were slightly cheaper, so unless you are looking for the lavender pink colour specifically the other generic colours on Amazon do have tie backs and are the same quality in my opinion …
All in a
I bought 3 pairs, 2 for my living room and 1 for my daughter’s room.
I live in a pavement edge terraced cottage walking directly into my living room (no hallway) and wanted these to cover my door and window, couldn’t quite work out how they could be thermal with the eyelet design as the pole is around 3″ away from the wall so I thought the cold air would just come out at the top
Never having been much good at science I didn’t realise that cold air stays on the ground, I knew heat rises but didn’t really think about cold air.
I wanted to wait until we had a cold spell before writing an honest review to their thermal qualities and pleased to report they really work, when I opened the curtains hung up by my front door I felt a cold draft behind them, they really do protect my house from the cold, am very impressed with them.
They’re not 100% blackout due to the eyelet design but good enough, my main concern was the thermal properties and try excel at that.
Overall I’m hugely impressed with these curtains and highly recommend them.
I wanted a similar curtain to what I’d already got, but in a different colour, so these were the nearest I could find.
They may not blackout all the light as they are light beige, however they are still effective. They’re lightweight and the material doesn’t feel cheap. I am happy with my purchase.
I had paired these curtains with this brushed nickel based rod here on Amazon, which I believe has much stronger tension than the standard thin plastic rods, which tend too loosen quicker:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08D99TVDH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Anyway, this and the curtains together were a great ‘custom’ package to order and are doing the job. Other rod products on here were hit and miss and the important thing about this is the only one that has suction cups at both ends so the walls should not get scraped or damaged.
The curtains are nicely stored and folded inside a paper bag style packaging, so no bulky delivery issues.
Would highly recommend both; amazon brand: UMI and nickel brushed rod.
I struggled finding curtains long enough for hanging at windows in a victorian flat. I found the Uni Thermal curtains and ordered the longest drop in peacock blue. The colour is very pleasing. They hang beautifully, were easy to iron and are long enough to leave a lovely puddle of curtain on the floor. The only reason I have given four and not five stars is because they were advertised as blackout curtains and I would have liked them to shut out more light that they do. I expect the darker shades perform better in this respect. I am still very pleased with them overall and would recommend them because they are the best curtains I have ever had for the price.
They do not completely blackout (product description says 85-98%, I would say these are around 85-90%) but did not expect them to for the price, and they do the job well enough for what we needed.
Not sure how much thermal insulation they offer for the thickness they are but again, perfectly fine for the price point.
The curtains feel quite cheap and I was skeptical about how effective they’d be as blackout curtains as they are so lightweight but in fairness they work really well, much better than the thicker, more expensive blackout curtains that they were replacing. I would buy these again if I needed them in another room.
Totally disappointed , they are nice quality but the color is not accurate, it says light pink but is more like a purple. I changed my review from 1 star to 4 because the seller responded quickly to my issue with the item and send me another pair that match better the light pink color.
The fabric is soft and not shiny as others have said in their review. The fabric feels and looks like good quality(I’ve give close up pictures ). It doesn’t look cheap. I would recommend if you are on a budget. I plan to pompoms/bunting to upgrade it so I didn’t want anything too expensive.
I will be considering getting these for my other rooms.
Light weight and fairly thin material which I prefer after the thick and heavy curtains these replaced. This may come back to haunt me in winter though.
As to the blackout question. No.
If you consider these blackout you’ve never had blackout curtains. They are certainly room darkening and better than a lot of standard curtains but they are akin to the 10 year old blackout curtains I was replacing which were failing due to the coating turning to powder. Basically you get tiny pinpricks of light uniformly across the curtain where blackout would have literally none. There is however far more light coming in around the edges (unavoidable) than through the curtain so it doesn’t amount to muchn so for the price not too bad. In anticipation, based on other reviews I also bought some blackout lining and with that behind they are fine.
