Having an inexpensive but reliable spanner set around the house is crucial. The fact that the range goes so low in size is exactly why we selected this set, and boy did it come in handy.
Our greenhouse had nut sizes that were all over the place – some tiny, some big. A standard set of spanners that you stick in your car wouldn’t have covered the size range. This set did. It’s not fancy, but it got the job done and the tools performed perfectly.
We’re almost done with the project now, just detail work to go. These spanners helped make it happen.
Very reasonably priced for this set of spanners which serve our purpose. It is however not a perfect finish and hence think the holding sides/edges should not get blunt over usage.
I was looking for a set of spanners that would fit a vintage bicycle, I didn’t need all of the sizes but at least half.
For the price and what I want they seem ideal and come in a tool roll pouch.
They arrived in the given time
Did the job I needed them for without any dramas. Can’t attest to their durability nor sturdiness though as I’ve only used them for pretty lightweight jobs so far. Good value. Would buy again if I needed to.
I’ve had my car battery on and off several times during the Covid lockdown, and I can never find my 10mm spanner without a prolonged search through my toolbox in the garage. I thought I’d buy myself a spare 10mm to keep in the car, then I found this spanner set, cheap as chips for just about what I’d pay for a single spanner. It arrived today in a handy little tool roll, so I’ve stored it in the glove compartment so I’ve always got a spanner to hand. Just the ticket….
I needed a 19mm spanner and a smaller one (forget which). As it was not a job that needed brute strength and was a one off this set seemed to fit the bill. And it did. Job done. The spanners are not great quality but they do the job and I will be able to use them for other work too, that is not demanding. This is not to say that they couldn’t do more demanding work – I just don’t have that amount of faith in a set of spanners that cost much less than a single good one. Also, I liked that they came in a roll secured with velcro, which keeps them separate from my other spanners.
The bag is not brilliant but it is pretty good. Only real complaint is that the velcro will fail at some point, but it will be easily replaced with a pop button. The spanners are sound. It states ‘chrome vanadium’ on them & the spanner size. They are sand-cast of course but it’s a great range of spanners for this price.
Ordered these not expecting much. I own a decent spanner set but needed a couple of extras for a job. These are neatly packaged in a fold-out wallet with an elasticated Velcro strap. Inside the spanners are arranged in order of size with a good selection provided that would cover most needs. The spanners themselves are of decent quality; a little burr on the edges of some of the ends and the insides of the rings, but this doesn’t affect performance and they appear strong enough to apply a good amount of pressure without damaging them. If you’re a mechanic or are subjecting them to heavy use, I would certainly spend more. But if you’re a casual DIYer who will use them once in a while, or you need a second spanner to hold the other end of a bolt, these are just the job.
Purchased to fill the size gaps between a mini-set recently purchased that starts at 4mm and ends with 10mm open and 11mm ring as its largest sizes and a long-used automotive set that starts at 17mm; there was confusion because a series of nuts and bolts appeared to be marked with the presumed size ’11’ but it is believed that could have been intended as an ‘H’ which a few bear.
This “Amtech K0400 Combination Spanner Set, 11-Piece” comprises individual spanners with both ring and open of a single size, a system thought far more logical than odds and evens pairings (although with a couple of half-sizes thrown in. Sizes range from 6 to 19mm in these with a few omissions and no ‘half-sizes’; there is consequently varying degrees of overlap at both extremes. These are apparently all full-size as they are longer, size for size (closest possible matches), than the mini-set.
The set, which is presented in a fabric tie-down roll, contains a few mid-range sizes that are now essential to complete a task for which the mini-set was intended; although not immediately useful, those previously ordered probably will be in due course. Quality is mid-range and, as they are unlikely to be extensively used, are considered more than adequate for the purpose.

Considering what they cost they do what is required and are very good value.
They particularly suited my needs, as I mostly wanted the smaller sizes, down to 6mm, and this was the most cost effective way to get them, with the larger sizes a free bonus.
They are a bit clunky and rough and probably not the strongest, but if you want something better there are enough alternatives, such as the “Draper Hi-Torq 29545 11-Piece Metric Combination Spanner Set”, but at more than double the cost. I didn’t need that level of quality, or want to pay for it.
As an engineer I have some equivalent German Stahlwille combination spanners, from many years ago, and you can certainly see the difference in quality, but similar Stahlwille set costs about 74, or more, and only goes down to 8mm.
Very pleased with this set of spanners.
