I brought this as I got a new iPhone 15 my old cable was no longer compatible with car play in my Merc. But this cable works perfectly and seems to be great quality. Worth the money
Purchased for my iPhone 15 Pro new work setup, my previous Anker USB cable proved itself as being durable and great value. So it made sense to purchase a Anker USB-C cable for my new phone, added to the USB-C cable I purchased a portable Anker charger for when I may need some emergency charging.
When it comes to USB-A to USB-C cables, this is definitely one of them!
You can plug one end into a USB-A port and then plug your device into the USB-C port for blazing fast USB 3.0 speeds!
It slices, it dices, it’s exactly what it says on the tin!
Buy now to avoid disappointment!
Bought this to replace a cheaper cable that has trouble with iPhone 15 and apple car play. This works flawlessly, and is a good bit cheaper than an official apple cable.
I use this cable in my van to charge on the go, the cable is nice and thick, fits perfect and I like the colour. Another good value Anker product.
Ordered this to use with Apple CarPlay on IPhone 15 as the other USB A to C cables I had would not work. This one works perfectly. Cable appears well built and at a fair price.
A nice good quality and durable usb c cable. I have used this on my motorcycle to charge my phone while riding.
The braiding on the cable will see it last with movement of the handlebars. The connector ends seem robust too.
I cant comment on how weatherproof this is but I use a silicone end cap on the usb c end when not using as I don’t want to take any risks.
Overall I’m really pleased with this cable and it’s another good quality product from Anker.
The cable is solid and well made, as you would expect from Anker. As there are still so many places that use usb A it’s a useful cable that means you can charge my phone should there be no USB C.
Like the fact it’s red, stands out when I’m looking through my bag of black and white ones!
The Anker USB C Cable, PowerLine+ USB-C to USB 3.0 cable (3ft/0.9m), High Durability Type C Charging Cable Braided Compatible for Samsung Galaxy S10, S9, MacBook, Huawei P10, P9, Sony XZ, HTC 10 and More is perfect for connecting my Bluray player / burner to an older PC. My Verbatim (Pioneer) Bluray player / burner came with a very short cable, which is odd considering what I paid for it. In my humble opinion, the Verbatim (Pioneer) Bluray player / burner should have come with an additional longer cable for desktop PC set-ups. Obviously, the shorter cable is ideal to use with a laptop. Anyway…
The Anker USB 3.0 cable does the job! Once I received this USB 3.0 cable, I was then able to burn a Bluray BDR disc with ease! Oh! I had no idea that a USB 3.0 cable is different to a USB 2.0 cable. I learn something new everyday! I had bought a cable from Currys PC World, and the sales assistant failed to spot that the cable I had showed him (that came with the Bluray reader / writer) was USB 3.0, and gave me a USB 2.0 cable as a replacement.
When I connected the Bluray reader / writer to my PC, it was recognized as a USB 2.0 device. So, I had to take the cable back and get a cost effective USB 3.0 cable from Amazon instead. It obviously did the trick!

We all know Apple charging cables only last so long and we need to invest in something new. Anker seem to be a good brand for chargers and their cables do not disappoint. Charging times are good especially with the current iPhone SE.
As I have a number of tablets it’s useful to have different colours to differentiate between lighting and micro usb.
So far I’ve not seen any deterioration in the cable, I did have a previous one fail, but it was years old so can excuse that as it lasted longer than an Apple cable.
Great Anker cable as always – charges device without issue consistently, had issue with this near the start wher eplug was getting hot, but and anker replaced it – good customer service.
I bought because it’s an Anker product. In my experience it’s a reliable – if less than cutting edge – technology brand. the cable’s a good weight – reassuringly heavy and the connectors attached to it don’t feel flimsy.
I admit we’ve been together now for only three days. But we got down to business straightaway and four devices, including three high-ish capacity powerbanks have benefited from good solid – if not as rapid as I’d fantasized – toppings-up.
I hope it lasts a bit longer than the tech I take in/get taken by often sees fit to.
Data transfer seems to be stuck at USB 2 speeds. A dongle (UGREEN USB to USB C Adapter, USB 3.0 Male to Type C Female) took 6 minutes to transfer 15 gigabytes of mixed files from a SATA drive to a Corsair USB C 3.0 SSD. Windows was telling me that the exact same task would take six hours using this cable on an identical setup (I gave up). I cannot rate for longevity as only I’ve just bought it.
Edited to add …
I think it was the exFAT file system that was causing the problem copying multiple small files. One test drive was exFAT the other was NTFS. Cable seems fine with exFAT large files or when using NTFS.
Sorry, guys.
I bought this to use in the car with Android Auto. So the cable was to charge a phone and transfer real-time date to and from the smatphone – music, map route information and hands free phone calls. As a braided cable it was strong and flexible and fitted well in the car. It worked well and Android Auto loaded automatically each and every time. It just handled a 90 minute journey from Kent into N London without problems.
But then using it for local journeys that same day I got error messages on the the in car system , music failed and Android Auto wasnt recognised. I reset the phone, I reset the in car system but nothing worked. I changed the cable to a Samsung wire, which luckily I was carrying as a charging wire. I plugged this into the car and service was resumed as if nothing had happened.
I contacted Anker, assuming that 9 months use would not result in a replacement; but it did. Anker handled my issue very well and even let me keep the original wire as it still charges the phone independent of the car. So well done Anker.
I am yet to replace the Samsung cable with the new Anker wire in the car. My expectations are that when I use it, it will work and be reliable. I am hopeful. Anker did point out that the replacement wire had a new guarantee so at least I’m covered for a while.
So 3* for product reliability, I had a journey dependency, but 5* for customer service.
Update 12/6/23. New Anker wire installed and it works immediately. So it works on day 1 and I’m looking forward to a longer period of sustained reliability.
What can I say about a cable?
Well if you could see my purchase history you would see I’m sadly a serial cable killer, I even managed to kill and tear apart my UNBreakCable brand of cable, that had a guarantee against it never breaking and I managed to break it
I am the cable killer and have gone through so many USB C cables in just a few years, so far this is holding up, I will however, update should I manage to kill this one too.
All the other cables will be having a memoriam ceremony within the next couple of weeks.
If you’re a cable manufacturer however and are looking for serial cable killers to test your new unbreakable, robust cables out I will gladly help you by using your new cables and putting their prowess to the test so drop me a message or ask Amazon to contact me because you need someone to test your new robust and unbreakable cable out and you need the best serial cable killer out there and I’ll gladly out them through everything I’ve go
I recently forgot my iPad password after having to change it – unfortunately, a few weeks later I had forgotten it as I do not regularly use my iPad.
I connected my iPad to my Mac using a USB-C to USB-A cable however my Mac would only charge my iPad, the Mac itself would not recognise that the iPad was connected nor would it show the device in finder or iTunes. I had tried multiple cables and still had the same issue therefore I spoke to Apple Care who advised I would probably need to go into the Apple store to complete the restore of my iPad.
After doing some research, I found on the Apple Community website that someone had a similar issue like I was facing – what resolved it for them was using a high quality cable, so on my hunt for a cable I decided to do some research. Apple actually recommends Anker as brand and is one of their recommended brands when it comes to accessories.
The cable worked as intended, instantly my Mac recognised my iPad and was able to restore it – I didn’t really think that a cable would make much difference considering we tried multiple however I have learnt that when it comes to premium devices such as iPads/iPhones and Macs, is it really worth scrimping on cheap/budget cables. Suitable for charging and data transfer, supports fast charging.
The cable is high quality – durable connectors either end which are protected to extend the lifespan, protecting from repeated bending.
Highly recommended – will definitely be purchasing Anker cables again and replacing all of our old ones!
I ordered this product for my Samsung S10e phone, finally making the jump to the USB-C generation (although late to the party), which is a joy over the flimsy and constantly-needing-to-be-replaced micro-USBs. I had a Volutz micro-USB cable for my previous phone, which is of similar quality in terms of the woven cable sturdiness. Anker is a great brand, known for their durability, and so far, this cable has held up to the familiar standards. The only disappointment I had was that it did not fit flush in the phone due to the case I have been using. This is not at all a fault of the cable, it’s because the charging port gap is cut too small on the protective case I use (since rectified with a new case I bought with better cut-outs for ports). But it is worth mentioning that, likely due to the sturdiness, the black plastic housing the cable’s USB-C connector is quite thick, just in case you also use a case with a small cut-out, so getting it completely in would be tough in that case. Otherwise, it plugs in with a firm grip and the cable is thick, tough, flexible and extremely well-made. Connectivity to my computer to transfer files to and from my device is fast and reliable, with no connection issues (even on my laptop’s USB port which is a bit wiggly at times). Hopefully it lives on like this for a good long time!
Reviewing a cable is a bit like reviewing a 13amp plug. What can you say other than ‘you plug it in and it works’ or ‘it was 1m long as stated’ or perhaps ‘didn’t fall apart after a week’ to be honest?
Actually, when it comes to these Anker cables, there’s quite a lot to say. Thankfully, as I like writing this stuff.
OK, let’s do this in an unboxing stylee (see attached photos) and begin with the box. It’s like no other cable I’ve seen, with a wax paper overlay and very smart indeed. I’d prefer a blister pack or one of the Amazon ziplock bags to be honest though, save on a bit of waste the world really doesn’t need.
When you get past the wax paper, you don’t find a cable but a suedette (is that a thing) feel pouch. Open this up and your cable sits within. Actually, it is trapped within by a Velcro strap. There is method to this seeming madness however, as you can use the pouch not only as additional travel protection but to regulate how much cable you reel out. Nice touch.
The cable itself is what matters though, that’s what you are buying here and not all the ‘look at us jazzing up a boring old cable’ malarkey. And a boring old cable it isn’t, it’s a pretty nifty one. I needed a USB-C to USB 3 cable, so this review applies to that but (having also just ordered a USB to micro-USB charging cable from Anker) it seems that the same construction applies to all.
I can’t yet attest to the lasts 5x longer claim that Anker advertises, but it wouldn’t surprise me. This thing certainly appears to be made to last. It’s something of a survival cable, in fact, and should have it’s own reality TV show. Or maybe not, so back to the review. The double-braided nylon is nothing new, lots of premium cables do this now, but the combination of this with a toughened aramid (honeycomb) fibre core gives this one a really strong feel and zero chance of knotting.
Then there’s the laser-welded connectors which have a rubber cloak at the cable end to provide flexibility and help lessen the usual ‘bend stress’ damage you get at this point. Anker claims it can survive 5000 or more ‘bends’ compared to 1000 of most cables. That doesn’t sound like an awful lot to me, but time will tell I guess.
The fact that Anker gives an 18-month warranty on a cable is pretty impressive. The company seems to stand by the tougher than the rest claim, and my experience of its customer care people is that they replace stuff without hassle. Which makes buying this cable, even at a small price premium over the cheapo ones, a bit of a no-brainer for me. What’s the worse than can happen? If it wears out in a year I’ll invoke the warranty thing and get a replacement. Sorted.
