Our journey began in 1893 when John Boyd Dunlop created the Dunlop Pneumatic Tire Company to produce bikes in Melbourne (Australia). Afterwards, a young mechanic named Eric Norman Ansell working there recognised an opportunity while the company was seeking to get rid of some manufacturing machines.

In 1905 Eric Ansell founded what would become Ansell Rubber Company, originally a balloon and condom company before developing in the production of surgical gloves, household and work gloves.
