This a very good light for your store and while working in a dark area.It very bright and the flasing setting of the light is definitely one that is very useful for a SOS situation.
I will recommend.
Good amount of light, easy to charge and you can use it as a battery to charge your phone up too – winner! We topped them up in the car once during the week. The twin pack is ideal so one can stay at the tent whilst someone takes the other for a late night wee. Much better for crossing a field in the dark as you can actually see in front of you!
Bought for the family to travel to a dark part of the garden at night to collect firewood in the darker months. Fits that purpose perfectly.
Also has been used during power cuts which has been really useful.
The charge lasts for a long time, and charging isn’t too bad.
All in all very happy with this product.
1 day of use, really good overall, good quality, really bright, compact so good for small spaces, the stand is adjustable but rigid so can easily be hung on an angle from something and easy to USB charge off the van. Cover for the batteries (removable) could be a little more secure as is does seem easy to slip it off but other than that small small issue overall pleased, can’t comment on battery life as haven’t used it for more than 1-2hrs at a time so will see
I wasn’t expecting much from such a cheap product but it worked perfectly to help me paint.
The build quality is very good compared to its competitors.
It’s now kept in my car for an emergency light and as a power bank to charge phone when required.
very bright and also has strobe mods can take rechargeable batteries or normal so if runout alwqays can use batteries and usb charge ideal for camping workshop or on the road
Bought for second time easy to charge lasts a long time super bright light can also be dimmed or flash bough5 another after seeing my dad struggle with a basic torch so surprised him with next day delivery or the perfect torch, I’ve used mine fo4 a weekend camping and around the house it’s always on hand and very useful
I’ve bought 2 of the lights to hang in my shed and they do the job great. They’re easy to hang..carry.. or even stand buy themselves. The only problem I have is when you take the plastic cover of the battery’s for it to work the battery compartment cover is a very loose fitting to the point it slips off so I’ve had to tape it up which doesn’t bother me.
Still a good product for me
Handy torch, the back cover falls off as its not tight, lasts 2-3 hours not 5 takes quite a while to charge. But OK it’s well worth the money & I would get another.
This is a useful little worklight, bright enough to light up one end of an average room in a house, or one end of a loft. I doubt it has 30W of power for the LEDs because a 12W LED bulb that you might have to illuminate your living room is the equivalent to a 100W tungsten bulb. That’s bright. So 30W of illumination is what you’d get from 2.5 x 12w LED bulbs or 3x 100W tungsten bulbs. Knowing how bright that is, no way is this battery operated “Trungle” light that bright. I have a 30W LED mains floodlight in my garden and there’s a noticeable difference between them. Most products on Amazon are from China and they often exaggerate specifications in their marketing blurb so I wasn’t really expecting it to give 30W of power.
The single button to toggle between modes would work better if there was a separate on/off button because it’s not nice going into flash mode every time you want to turn it off, it’s uncomfortable on the eyes unless you remember to close your eyes first. Or maybe I’m getting old!
Overall, for the money it’s very good value, apart from my minor grumbles. If you need more light then just buy another one as they’re relatively cheap.
Bought for indoor use, in case of Winter power cuts. Too bright to use in kitchen or living room in the context of trying to avoid looking directly at it, on safety grounds, and orientation options are not that versatile, so I now keep it in my car for emergency use. It will come in useful, but not for what I had originally intended.
I wanted it ready for possible controlled power cuts this winter. It might be handy for other uses as well. Good for car breakdowns! I wanted something to light a room so I’m not sat in the dark, it’s like a freestanding torch. I also wanted rechargeable. I wanted a bit brighter but I didn’t want to pay more for now, so that’s probably my fault. It seems to work ok. I even worried it might be too bright, it’s not. Would be good for camping and when mains power is not available, small so isn’t much to store for rare use. For anything regular, I’d get mains powered and brighter.
Pros:- Very bright on full power. Good battery life on low power. Variety of positions thanks to the adjustable stand/grip. Convenience of swapping 2 x rechargeable cells for 4 x AA batteries. Ability to use as a 5V/1A USB power bank.
Cons:- Not waterproof/splashproof from the rear. Non-stainless fittings are corroding. Battery door is insecure and slides open easily. Would benefit from a magnetic mount. Short illumination range even on full power.
Most definitley has its uses as a compact floodlight when working under a bonnet or under the stairs etc and for the money; can’t complain too much.
Great little lights. Approx 1.5 x the size of a moby phone. Perfect for my roof space. Powerful light. 3 modes bright, slightly dimmer and that annoying, migraine inducing flashing mode.
I like them so much, I am buying some more – they are cheap and effective.
My only quibble is the plastic battery cover has a tendency to slide off – could do with a design tweak.
Good little light I bought this to put in my loft as there isn’t any current flight up there and lights up the loft space very well so I can get things up and down from there.
My only issue with this lamp is there were no sort of mounting slots on the body so I had to put up two hooks in the loft to be able to hang it by it’s handle while up there. The only thing that stopped me giving it 5 stars.
Battery life seems very good have not had to charge it yet.
All powered up and down with a single button goes from high to low to strobe then off. So if you have any form of photosensitivity you just have to be careful of that strobe effect before turning off.
At the local leasure park authorities economise and don’t switch flood lighting as use to. Very annoying as it gets dark at 4pm in the solstice winter, UK. My son (25, was visiting) is a great ping pong and tennis player but we don’t have a table in our house or access to a table, tennis court anywhere. I also love to play with him. Now; He is almost nocturnal sleeping on most days through the light hours and active at night. I decided to invest in our own flood lights, plus fosforescent ping pong balls. We played ping pong yesterday. It was good fun. Played till we were fully wet from the rain. 🙂 5 of these should be enough for the court, one is good for the table. We hang them on the fencing rails. They are very bright to look at, so must be hanged high.
Dirt cheap for what it does and how long the battery lasts. Used this to light up the garden when working out there. Takes about 6 hours to recharge from the first time, but seems to recharge in about 3 every charge after. It lights up our garden like daylight and fits in the hand. Would also last long enough on the low light setting to light a room in a powercut imo, though I fear it gets too warm on the full setting for that.
UPDATE 10th July 2020: I’ve done some more testing and found that the batteries will only supply 1 hour at full blast, and 3 at the low power mode. So my guess is the listing is a little bit fibby. But still, for 13 quid! You cant really complain. Buying 2 18650 batteries will set you back a sizeable chunk of this anyway, LOL!
