This is a quick to learn, exciting and fun game that will get all the pirates in your family running up the colours and giving siblings a broadside before stealing all their gold. Addictive. Great quality.
Game itself it just a little pricey so try for a discount
Other than that the components are good, is easy to learn for beginners and is fun for everyone
This is a fun pirate ship racing game. The move mechanic was a little difficult to learn at first. The game uses a combination of dice and cards to move. Once we got the hang of that, we were off to the races! Have played it with my partner with and without the “ghost” ship that is used in a 2-player game and with our game group of 5. It scales well. In fact, it’s probably best with more than 2 players.

Un gran juego facil de aprender y explicar… y despues se pone bueno cada jugador con su estrategia de guerra. puede ser muy rapido o se van atorando los barcos batallando
Jamaica is a very fun tactical race game for 2 to 6 players with a bit of a ‘take that’ element. It is suitable for children, families, couples, friends… anyone really. It is light and easy to learn. To win, you race around the island of Jamaica in a pirate galleon to try to pick up buried treasure before another pirate beats you to it …there is also the occasional cannon fire just to keep things authentic!
The artwork is beautiful and component quality is very good.
I own the previous version and have bought the new 2nd edition for my sister. There are a few, mainly cosmetic, differences between this edition and its predecessor. The game board is slightly smaller and the box is no longer rectangular – it is now the standard size square box that fits better on the shelf. The biggest change is to the rule book. The awkward fold out rule ‘treasure map’ has been replaced by an easy-to-use rule booklet complete with handy index tabs. It still uses lots of pictures to illustrate the rules.
Definitely a game that will be played over and over – talking like a pirate is optional!
