My husband and I played this at a bar once so I bought it for my kids. That had a great time. Everyone can play no matter what they’re education level.
Plus they learn a little something alone the way!

Holy cow, my family loves this game. It doesn’t take long to play and you are secretly learning historic info the entire time. Game difficulty can be adjusted by how many cards you start off with, and other sets can be combined with this one to make it even more interesting. It’s also small enough you could bring it anywhere. Heck, you could play it at a restaurant while waiting for your food. Great game. Art is good too.

Played this game while abroad. Fun for the whole family, but included all topics from sports, culture, social, art,
Wish that this was same, this game is one subject. However you can buy it for different subjects.

I got this game to add to our collection of fun and easy party board games. It is a very simple premise that gets more difficult the longer you play. Players are dealt a number of “event” cards with the year of the event on the back (hidden from their view). There is an initial reference event card laid on the table, with the year of the event shown. On each player’s turn, they have to place one of their cards on the table in the appropriate order in the timeline. Once they have placed their card where they think it belongs, the year of that event is revealed (the card is flipped over.) If their guess was correct, the card remains in place, and play advances to the next player. If they are wrong, the card is removed, and the player has to replace it with a new card to their hand, and play advances to the next player. Play continues until on person has accurately placed all of their cards in the timeline.

The game gets more difficult the longer you play as the “gaps” in the timeline get smaller and smaller, and your guesses require more accuracy. It is very flexible as to the number of players, and you can mix and match cards from multiple Timeline game versions to expand the subject matter, etc.

The game decks are physically small and contained neatly in a metal tin that is perfect for bringing on trips or taking to a friends house.

The only negative I could possibly see is that if you play often enough, you are more likely to remember the dates of the events, which might make replays slightly less fun. That said, you are learning history, so totally worth it, in my book! This game will be more difficult for kids who don’t know history, but again, is a fun way to learn!

Great little game, perfect for taking away on holiday. Can use with the other timeline games too. Everyone enjoyed it and learnt a lot!

Bought these for Granda (72) to join in with games night. Been a hit for all ages. Even the 3 year old has enjoyed looking at the pictures and talking about what happened throughout history. Great conversations and a great way to get the kids learning about history.

I love this game! It comes in a tin that makes it easy to travel with and to put away. It is super easy to learn, I love that it’s also educational. We have played with anywhere between 2-8 people (I think the suggestion is no more than 6). The game is also somewhat fast, which I appreciate. I 100% would buy more of these.

This was a fun game just to sit around as a group and guess when each event in history happened. My daughter is 9 and asked for this game for Christmas after playing with family over the summer. This game comes in a small container so is easily transported. We are big into playing games when traveling and this game takes up no space in our bags to add variety.

This is a good game, but the cards are very small.

This is a great game that is easy to learn and fun to play. I just wish they included more cards in the set. Once you’ve played the cards, you can’t play them again, because you will probably remember the dates. So you can really only get about two or three games out of this set. They should have included more cards.

Both 67 year old grandpa and 8 yr old granddaughter – who aren’t game people like this game. It is very easy to learn and everyone enjoys playing together. We’ve combined it with other timeline canisters and they work together quite well.

This game is good fun, and the set-up allows you to have a bit of a guess even if you’re not sure. It comes in a tin that’s sturdy and small enough to slip into a bag or pocket when travelling, and the cards are small enough that you could play on the pull-down tables on the back of train seats if needed. Worth getting some of the other sets too and mixing them up if you’re going to play more than a few rounds at a time, as otherwise you start remembering the dates, but otherwise we’ve gotten it out a fair few times – and sometimes even when we weren’t travelling! – and gotten some good fun out of it as well as refreshing our history knowledge (which might just come in handy for a pub quiz one day!)

Everyone from my 13 year old to 81 year old love playing this together. Some of the categories of events (pop/ modern ‘culture’) are difficult for the 13 and 81 year old, but historical events generally ok.

This game is a bastard! It sounds so simple, and it is, but deceptively difficult the more cards go on the timeline. Be sure to be strategic and win quickly or you’ll be there all night. I always think I will learn the cards off by heart but I never do.

Educational and fun for children and adults no complicated instructions and beautiful illustrations, fantastic gift for 9 years up. A game an adult can play with children that is interesting and enjoyable

We love this game!! The rules are so easy anyone can play instantly. And it also gets you thinking, using general knowledge, logic and a touch of guessing from time to time. The pictures are great fun – educational as well as a bit quirky. It’s a firm family favourite for all ages from my 9-year old nephew to my 90-year old Aunty.

I have to admit when a friend told me about the game I thought it sounded a little dull (although I do love history). Played this with my family however and we loved it, so much so I have bought another pack. The tin is very small so easy to carry around with you if you suddenly fancy a game in the pub with friends. I would say that if there are a few players, after a few games you soon end up with a couple of the same cards being dealt out. Not a deal breaker though (excuse the pun)! Just another reason to buy another pack.

Good for quick game play when you have 20 minutes to kill. Also good for travelling as a compact little game.

So much fun was had with this. My 11yr old daughter requested three games in a row.
Much laughter and discussion took place about her choices.
Purchased another set to add to it. Great for travel too as it comes in a small tin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful.

Great game, easy to learn and fun for all the family. Compact so easy to just pop in your bag and take out and about with you. We have a couple of different packs that we mix together. Hours of fun and you learn something every time you play

Great game, arrived in perfect condition. Exactly what I wanted. Great thing is you can combine them with any other Timeline game!
