Aveeno Dermexa Daily Emollient Cream, 200 ml (Packaging May

This stuff is the best cream I have ever used for the past year I have had very dry and sore skin on 3 of my fingers have had many creams from my doctor and not one worked. So I bought this and on the first use it soothed the irritation and within 2-3 days my skin has improved dramatically. I’m very pleased with this product and I would definitely recommend to anyone who has very dry and sore skin to buy this product it works 100%.

I sometimes get bad eczema flair ups and the usual aqueous and steriod creams do very little.

This is the only thing that actually works and reduces the irritation and itch. See a big difference after a few days.

I’ve suffered from pompholyx (hand eczema characterised by small blisters) since 2020. Nothing (even steroid creams) helped my rash as much as this cream has. A life saver!

My rash can be itchy, sore, and blisters. It has gone down significantly since using this cream and barely bothers me now. To be clear, it has not cured my rash and I still do get the blisters, but it’s much more manageable now.

I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis last year and have been prescribed numerous treatments by my GP with varying results. Ultimately non proved satisfactory and some made the condition worse. I heard about Aveeno Dermexa, and after reading the reviews thought I would give it a go. On applying the cream, my face felt almost instantly soothed and after using it for just a few days I could perceive visible results. I’ve now been using the cream for just over a week and my skin has never felt so good in years. The flakiness and itching have stopped, and my skin feels smooth and supple again. I apply a pea-sized amount to my forehead and face in the morning after washing and in the evening before bed. I’vee now started using Aveeno shampoo and it’s starting to improve my dandruff. I can’t recommend this product enough and will be providing my GP with feedback too. The images show my rash before and after using Aveeno.

Bought this as dermatitis made me itchy beyond belief and I love everything about it, it’s so healthy for your skin, keeps it always moisturised and the itching has been kept at bay. I use the Aveeno baby body wash for itchy dry skin too so I recommend that! The ONLY problem with this emollient is that once you’ve applied it, it leaves a rather sticky feel and it never goes away. At first I thought it felt sticky because it just needs to absorb yet but hours later I still felt sticky! That’s the ONLY downside, not sure why it leaves a sticky feel instead of smooth finish. If you can tolerate that then that’s perfect. I’m still using it despite the sticky feeling (because it does the job!), it just feels rather weird when I’m in bed! But I wouldn’t refuse to buy this product just because of the sticky finish. It’s amazing regardless!

I struggle with very dry hands that becomes very sore, as I work in a nursery I am constantly washing my hands and I get to the point where my hands are so sore that they feel like their on fire as soon as they hit warm water and also any bumper to my hands left me with sore scratches, I looked like I had hands of an 80yr old. I also struggle with eczema on my wrists and elbows. This has changed everything. I’ve tried a few different types of cream but I hate the oily feeling I was left with or a strong scent. This has no scent so that fixes that problem and it also gets absorbed quickly and leave my skin feeling baby soft, I have young hands once again. I’ve only been using it for a few days and already it has made such a difference. My son is also using this now as he has very dry skin on his arms and this has helped a lot. I will definitely be buying again, this is a brilliant price for the amount you get and you don’t need to use a lot.

UPDATE: Just over 2 weeks after first purchasing (I’m onto bottle no 2 now! I’ve a lot of areas to cover). Absolutely couldn’t be happier with this cream. My hand that was really awful looking is now 98% clear, can’t even tell, unless you really look, that there was an issue there. Multiple other areas have either completely or almost cleared up too.
Couldn’t be happier with this cream, it’s stopped me from being so itchy (either eczema or a reaction to the hard water here) almost constantly to maybe once or twice a day on the areas not yet healed to not at all on the areas that have healed. 🙂 Highly, highly, highly recommend!

I’m loving this, I got it 5 days ago and the itchy skin on my hand that has been consistently itchy for a couple of months hasn’t been itchy since applying it! Yay! Other areas of my body with eczema on it, it’s helping then but not as quickly. Less itchy and it feels like there’s a protective coating on top of the skin preventing me from really scratching and damaging the skin. I’ve ordered another one as I’m getting through it quickly, but I do think it works well and is worth trying!

First off let me start by saying that my skin (on my face) has given me 30+ years of grief, I have tried every cream, lotion, gel on the market, moisturisers for dry skin, acne prone skin, natural products and endless types of facial wash’ and I’ve had problem skin all these years. I have dry skin but am also prone to acne, some doctors have said its seb derm or both so its very difficult to find something that works.

The most recent moisturiser I’ve been using (before dermexa) was aveeno eczema therapy which worked pretty well for me although I would still get irritation/spots/itchiness around my neck and hairline but I persevered with it as my skin felt better than it was for a long time. Aveeno eczema therapy doesn’t seem to be available in the uk anymore so I needed to find something else, tried a few others in the aveeno brand without much luck until I discovered the Dermexa range, since I’ve been using it on my face my skin is much better, no dryness, itchiness and acne or seb derm or whatever it is has vastly improved. I don’t know what ingredient is different in Dermexa than the other aveeno ranges but its great for me.

I realise everyone’s skin is different and it’s a case of pot luck trying different creams but this has to be worth a try. Its 8 quid or something so quite cheap for 200 ml container. I read a review where someone said it was tacky on the skin which is true but it doesn’t feel greasy and doesn’t make your face shiney, its hard to explain but my face feels hydrated, calmed and comfortable. Gotta be worth a shot guys!
