My favourite childs toy. This has been used by three grandchildren and I have bought as gifts for others.
Attach to buggies or child seats in the car and has been used for hours.
Bought this for travelling by plane on holidays. It was a great distraction. Baby loves to chew the handle and loves the music and lights. It has 2 sound settings also.
This is colourful and easy for little fingers to work. The music selections are various classical themes – he loves the William Tell theme and they do sound musical rather than the plinky-plonky tunes so many children’s toys have.
A bit cumbersome for the teething child (dropped it on his head a couple of times) but since he reached 12 mths he’s delighted with it and happily presses the button to change tunes.
Lovely product overall. Only thing is that the speaker is on the bottom of the product so if flat on the floor can’t really hear the music. But it is a lovely toy with flashing lights and catches baby’s attention!
My son loves this music box and all the lights even tho he is teething so everything goes in the mouth but still this is one of the main toys her always goes to pick up. One improvement need though is the button you press for music is a sticker on top and not integrated colour on plastic so can see that coming away soon due to dribble lol
This toy is brilliant.Saves you from many a meltdown and is a great distraction tool. The tunes are lovely as classical and you can control the volume and neither level is too loud and the flashing lights also help capture the little one’s attention. Our Granddaughters little face lights up when we start playing with it and she uses the handle as a bit of a teether and can push the start button herself.Very handy to pop in the changing bag on your way out too.Batteries seem to have lasted ages. Highly recommend.
Although our two month old isn’t old enough to hold it himself yet he absolutely loves this toy. Completely transfixed by the lights and sounds. Plus the music is inoffensive to us as adults! Definitely happy with my purchase.
I have been looking at this toy for months before deciding to buy it and I really wish I did it sooner. Baby loves it, it keeps him entertained during car travels (that he hates). The music is lovely!
I bought this for my 4 month old daughter and I’m so glad I did! She absolutely love it! She is teething so it goes straight in her mouth but she loves pushing the button to play the tunes. It has 2 volume settings which is also really handy!
Not sure 1 year old grand daughter likes it but i do! haha
its sturdy, nice little handheld, plays classical tunes. maybe she will grow into a little bit more now as she get older.
Both my grandchildren love theirs, I think I have purchased at least 10 for friend’s children and grandchildren. The fact that it has two volume settings is most appreciated. The lights, music and beads make it a great hit!
It’s my granddaughter favourite toy at nanna’s. Plays with it all the time. She is almost six months now and is starting to press it herself rather than accidentally hitting it.
Bought for my granddaughter 3 months at the time now 4 months. She seems to like it a lot. Try’s to get hold of it now. The music, colours and lights keep her attention.
Baby loves this toy, it’s great for distracting him..but the battery cover isn’t flush with the unit and the speaker is a bit crackly so I can’t give it 5 stars.
My 4 month old little girl really took to this, the music seems to calm her and she likes to suck on the colourful handle. She only presses it accidentally at this stage, but I’m sure she will enjoy it even more when she can operate it herself. Always handy to have as a distraction technique in the car or when we are out. The music is pleasant for us parents to listen to, and doesn’t drive you crazy like some musical toys! It actually makes us feel a little cultured if we put it on at dinner! Prompt delivery, arrived sooner than expected.
My daughter really loves it – defo worth the money – it plays about 8 different songs and the button chances the song- it is very loud and seems very durable after she chucks it around – I love the music also – it is not annoying like some other toys – totally adult friendly – I play it when I have to nip out of room and she doesn’t notice I gone- still engrossed in it after 3 months so got money worth- if I considering Christmas gift for a baby then recommend for sure – it’s kind of adult friendly I would say also which. Is a bonus – I also enjoy playing with i
My little boy’s comfort toy, I had to buy 2! I have used this with my little boy ever since he was tiny – it was recommended to me by my sister after it’s calming effect on her girls. It’s a fabulous little toy, classical music and flashing lights and an amazing ability to calm babies. Originally I kept it in my change bag as a secret nappy changing weapon to distract my wriggly son but it soon became a firm favourite and once he could hold toys and press buttons it was hard to part him from it. When he first started at nursery, just before he turned 1, we sent it with him and I’m told by nursery staff that it helped him settle and was obviously a familiar comfort. He’s loved it so much that the stickers have worn off and we bought a second in case we lose it. It would be the toy I buy for any friends having their first baby.
This is actually the cutest little thing ever!!
Ordered for for my 2 year old. Who due to a medical condition. Is the size of a 5. Month old.
She adores it. It is held nicely in her hand. And the lights flash and pulsate the the tune.
And the lovely songs that come out.. When you gently press the play.. Or FF button…
Honestly. Its adorable. . Soothing too. And she sits and moves her other arm like conducting a Orchestra!! 🙂
It’s not to loud. So as to be annoying to us. But loud enough to be hears by a baby or toddler.
And nice and compact yet not small And rubbish.
Plus is pretty Indistructable… She has dropped… Thrown… Launched… And even in water… (I did quickly grab it and wave it about… For some reason) and it has survived.
Really great little toy.
This thingy saved my sanity. Baby hated drying & changing after bath…as well as being in the car. The amount of times I pressed the music button! As soon as he heard the music and saw the lights (from about 6 weeks) he would stop screaming and stare in awe. When he was a few months old he loved to hold onto it while the music played.
Things I love about this:
– it’s cheap. If your baby never falls in love with it, you haven’t paid the price of a 90 quid Jumperoo. (PS if you think baby doesn’t like it, give it to him the next day. And the next. You never know.)
– it’s small. You can shove it in your bag if you’re going somewhere. Also means a 3 month old can wave it around and he won’t be knocked out if it falls on his face!
– handle means you can clip it onto things. I clipped it onto an elastic buggy toy string for the carseat and it still never ceases to amuse him!
– durable. Baby (now 9mo) has chucked it onto floor heaps and this thing just won’t break.
– pretty nice music, for a baby toy. It plays classical tunes rather than the typical ding-a-ling nursery rhymes that personally drive me around the bend.
– it has lights as well as music.
This toy has been amazing. I’ve lost count of the number of times it’s been dropped or thrown on the floor, and my child (now about 18 months) seems to think it makes a fine hammer. It’s even been thrown in the local duck pond when my little darling decided that the ducks wanted more than bread. It has many battle scars on the case, but still works after twelve months of what can only be described as abuse!
It isn’t just resilient though – it has an almost magical ability to stop my child from crying. Before I got this toy car journeys were a nightmare. Since then my child is happy to sit and play his music, for long periods of time. Even though it only has seven tunes, they are quite long tunes and they are quite nice, and the toy don’t grate on your nerves the way a lot of other children’s toys do. Mozart is certainly better than screaming baby!
This is a great toy. We got it for our daughter when she was three months old, and she still loves it at 13 months. She likes watching the flashing lights, and now she is older, dancing to the music. I have had to give it four stars because we are having to buy it for the second time after the music has stopped working ten months after purchase. The lights still flash and it isn’t the batteries, but she misses the music. That said, it has been dropped many times onto our laminate floor, so it is quite hard-wearing, but I would have liked it to last a bit longer. The only other thing is that my daughter finds the button quite hard to press. She worked out at three or four months old that you had to press the button to make it work, but she only presses it enough for it to click, and not enough for it to play. You have to press it quite hard for that, and centrally – the fact that the button is divided into quarters is a bit misleading. If you try to press just one of the quarters, it doesn’t work. You must press it centrally. As a result, she is constantly bringing it to us so that we can press the button. This could just be our daughter though – other babies may well be able to press it themselves from an early age. Otherwise, it is a fab toy.
Edited to update – the replacement we ordered had a button that was much easier to press than the previous one – our daughter could press it straight away and we found it much easier to press as well, so the first one must have been faulty. As a result I would now give this product 5 stars. Our daughter is now 2 and still really enjoys this product – we are struggling to get it off her to let our 5-month-old play with it! Highly recommended.
