I have had a duck version for several years and used it when my grandchildren visited with their parents. Sadly, it ceased to work a while ago, so I was delighted to review this alternative. This is excellent. It is petite but sits nicely on the side of the bath and the digital display is very clear. If it lasts as long as 3-years, I would say the price is fair at 9.99 less the 5% voucher available on the page.
We got this to have as a fun room thermometer. It is not particularly big, but it is great to have sat on the shelf, ready to take the temperature of the room. One tap on the little man’s face pops up to show the current temperature. This will help keep your bath water at a safe level, preventing any accidents.
I tested the thermometer and it was usually the same as the other thermometer I have, but it was sometimes out by up to 2 degrees. That said, it won’t make a significant difference when testing the bath water temperature.
For me, even as just a small ornament on the shelf, I like it. The battery is expected to last 8-9 years so should see your child through their bath times, up until comprehensive school.

This thermometer floats and looks great. It comes boxed and works straight away. You just touch the astronauts helmet. Great for kids at bath time as they enjoy watching him Bob about.
This little fella is so cute. He stands only a few inches tall, so is perfect for a small shelf. He stands evenly and firmly. You lightly tap the front of his helmet and he displays the temperature for a few seconds, then turns himself off until you next tap him. He works well and is a reasonable quality for a novelty gadget. I think he’s quirky and useful and looks great on my unit.
ice design bath robot thermometer which is quite atractive for kids and it helps to have an idea for how cold or warm is the water.
anyway it helps to prepare the temperature of the water for your little one, having a quite quick response measurement but need to keep in mind it may have some errors in measurements, at least the one I got have 1C error.
the touchscreen works quite well and it shuts down automatically after few seconds, which is a good thing increasing the life of the battery which looks like is quite impossible to be changed after running out of power
even if looks like a toy I suggest parents to keep an eye on their kids when playing with because the one I got just split in two parts while my little one played with and the measurement pin inside can be easily enough be broken and inhaled by kids ( so I don’t suggest to be used as a toy)
I’ll still give 5 stars for its features ,5 for the design and 4 for accuracy but only 1 for safety

This is a very cute little spaceman thermometer. It seems relatively accurate and works well in water or just on a shelf for room temperature. The drainage holes all over the item mean no water sits inside it for long periods so I don’t have to worry about mould. It does float and my little boy does play with him in the bath. The touch sensitive screen requires you to swipe your finger over the face to display temperature. I assume this helps sustain battery power. I don’t think you can change the batteries once they do run out though as there is no battery port, and considering this is a very expensive item (17.77 at time of order) I don’t personally think it is worth that.
This is a very interesting product considering the fact that it has this shape which is very attractive for kids, while my niece is in her bathtub she doesn’t even realize that this is a thermometer because of its shape and sometimes she’s even asking where is her favorite toy( which is this product).
Regarding the functionality which obviously I consider to be the most important aspect I have noticed that sometimes it doesn’t display the temperature of the water correctly it goes like 2- 3 degrees Celsius on top so just give you an example if the real temperature of the water is 20 degrees it happened that this thermometer was reading somewhere between 22 and 23 degrees( I know this because I have professional thermometer and check to make sure the information is accurate).
Overall the building quality of the product is more or less decent, it floats in the water and per general I would say that it does the job.

It’s designed for babies’ baths but it’s suitable for any age. I’m in my forties and I love it!
You just drop it in your bath, tap the visor and it will tell you the temperature of the water. There’s a disclaimer on the box that states if you’re looking for a more accurate temperature, you should use a more accurate thermometer but this little astronaut is a perfect guide for me.
It shows the temperature in C but it also has an indicator light showing blue for cool, green for perfect and red for hot. It also has posable arms so your little one (or big one) can play with it in the bath too. You can also use it to tell you the temperature in the room so the fun doesn’t stop when you drain the bath water.
Now for the unexpected bonus: I saved water! I used less bath water with this thermometer as the display told my brain that the water was still hot, whereas I’d normally add a few more bursts of hot water during my bath.
I won’t be having a bath without it so I’m happy to recommend this fabulous bath thermometer.

It’s worth every penny for the safety of your baby.
Just pop him in the water and he shows you the temperature – simples! There are no instructions with it so we were a little unsure how to turn it on but it seems to be fine just popping it in the water. It does fill up a bit but then it drains and dries just fine. There’s no way to replace the battery or take it out to recycle etc which is the only reason to be wary of buying this, for which I have removed a star. I can see why a battery compartment might be dodgy with a water-based product though, so I guess while it is less sustainable it might be all the safer for it.
Such a cheeky little chappy, so much so that my wife has it on a shelf to check the room temperature.
Tap it on the face visor for a temperature read out.

The only negative for me would be the price as at 17.77p at time of review i think its a little expensive , 9.99 would be my price point.
This is in the style of an astronaut and the black helmet face is the screen that the digital read out snows up. Excellent little thing and it works perfectly. Definitely recommend this.

the thing is screen touch activated; I assume you chuck this into the bathwater, it does not say and the battery is not replaceable, so when it is expired, so is the product.
This also means you cannot recycle the battery safely.
Cute little guy, something different to your usual bath thermometers, it seems to be accurate compared to using our usual manual temp water thermometer. Reasonably priced and easy to use and read – comes boxed too if planning on gifting to new parents!
I bought this product being sceptical of how it would work – I was so wrong!
This product is so perfect for all parents of young children that need to check the temperature of their baths. No more scalding! Plus, it’s a cute little astronaut!
