The Bearsquad Fine Motor Skill Dinosaur Toys are an excellent educational tool for toddlers to develop shape and number recognition skills. This Montessori-inspired toy set features a range of brightly colored dinosaur shapes that can be sorted, stacked, and plugged into the provided board. This engaging and fun activity helps to improve hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and fine motor skills in young children. The set is made from high-quality materials, ensuring durability and safety for little ones. It’s a great gift option for parents who want to encourage their child’s cognitive development while providing them with hours of enjoyable playtime.

It’s a nice brightly coloured toy, but play is a bit limited, the slots for the spikes are numbered and and the spikes are different colours. The spikes can be stored in the back of the toy, and the dino’s mouth opens and closes a bit. But that’s about it, it’s a bit underwhelming overall. On the plus side it seems to be made from recyclable materials

I think it’s a little dear for what it is. Yes, it helps improve fine motor skills but I can’t see what else it does. I’d like to see a bit more than just putting the quills in the holes. Saying that, though, it’s sturdy and attractively coloured. I’m pretty sure most young children would like playing with it.

…and more. This has been great to support going children playing but using fine motor skills as a bonus. Colour recognition, counting the spikes and making patterns have been the most repeated activities. It has survived multiple children being less than delicate with it will. We really like how all the dinosaur’s spikes can be stored tidily in the removable back section. Great!

I got this for my great granddaughter. Firstly, there are a couple of sharp edges on the dinosaur storage area, so care should be taken with that. The toy arrived in a nice box, which should initially be kept as it shows which pegs go where. This is a nice, colourful toy that will catch younger kids attention, is great for developing hand/eye coordination and motor skills. However, it’s not as well made as I expected, so I’m a bit disappointed.

It’s a plastic dinosaur with holes in to push the spikes. It’s nothing special. If you push the spikes it behind the head the mouth opens. All children like to push things in holes so they enjoy it. All the spines can be kept inside. I can see it getting boring quickly though. I guess I could add a dice with colours on and make a game with it later on.

The Fine Motor Skill Dinosaur Toy has been given to our grandson who is coming up to 2 years in age. He has not really had a toy like this before. I liked this toy and appreciated quickly that the dinosaur needs to be plugged with the quill. Nice design and nice for small children to handle this toy. Good and varied colours and quite placid in nature. The main body of the dinosaur can be opened for the quills to be stored in. As used by our grandson and our thoughts this is a likeable toy and in good for shape recognition.

This is a tough little toy which can be educational too.

The body is all well made, with rounded edges. The back pops off to reveal the area the coloured pegs can be stored in. It also exposes a large flap that operates the jaws.

The holes in the back are numbered, and in the box are instructions for a counting game. Used with an adult this can be quite educational, but should be fun toy regardless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful educational toy.

Priced at 12.99 at the time of this Amazon Vine review, this plastic dinosaur toy arrives in a reasonably attractive box that would be suitable for gifting. Inside the box, there is an instruction manual that explains the benefits of the toy in terms of motor skills and suggests some different activities for the toy.

You need to look at the box to determine how to remove the back of the dinosaur to access the spines (pegs) inside. There are twelve spines (three each of orange, yellow, blue and green) and these are to be inserted in 1-12 numbered holes on the top of the dinosaur, which they say is a Aetosaurus (which I’ve never heard of but I am not a dinosaur expert).

Another reviewer has commented that the spines are difficult to get in/out of the holes on the back of the dinosaur, but in the one I received this is not an issue. What is difficult to get on/off is the back of the dinosaur (to reveal or close the storage area).

Overall, the look and the quality of the plastic construction is good. It certainly feels both robust and durable, well able to withstand the less than gentle hands of a young child.

I would have preferred for it to be a few pounds cheaper, just under 10. However, in general I am pleased with this product and am happy to recommend.

I got this as a first birthday gift but my toddler had other ideas and got in there first. It’s super cute, sturdy and I think good value. Easy for little hands to grasp and play around with. Great educational toy that helps with many things such as colours, colour matching, counting, fine motor skills and so on I can recommend this

A cute fine motor skills dinosaur with 12 colourful spines. The Dinosaur and spines are nicely made, perfect for young fingers. Each spine has two flat sides, making it easier for pincer grip practice. The dinosaur has 12 numbered holes, for each one of the spines 2 and 3 when inserted opens the dinosaurs mouth. Very nice and compact toy, the back lifts off for neat storage of the spines.
Nice toy. I think is good value, for a fine motor skills toy.
