These do exavtly what you want them to do. I installed them and was very pleased with the colour match against magnolia paint. I also tested them by bashing my own head against the wall quite hard and it didnt really hurt. I am confident if my boy fell and hit his head on one of these, he would probably cry but there would be no blood or serious damage. The only downside? You have to put the 3M tape on yourself which is a bit fiddly ans time consuming. When I give our boy more freedom I’ll buy exactly the same product to cover the other corners in the house.
You have to fit the double sided tape to the foam yourself. Otherwise very good product.
One of the questions coming up is Easy to remove! Not sure how that answer goes but it hasn’t been pulled off yet.
Brought my daughter a coffee table that we’ve made into a play table and the edges were a little rough but also wanted something that would stop her toys just spilling onto the floor, this is perfect for that. Easy to apply the corners as they’re already taped however the long pieces aren’t so it’s annoyingly fiddly to apply the tape however now it’s been done it looks great and is a great little support. Not the strongest as my daughter can pull it off but after a few times of sticking it back on she’s stopped now. Looks a lot nicer than some of the other kid proofing things so added bonus.
This sticks onto clean surfaces really well. We were always panicking when our toddler went near our TV unit or table. This stuff is a godsend! We found it easy to apply and when you need to remove it, you just have to give the tape a rub with warm damp cloth and it doesn’t leave any marks. Bit disappointed we could only get dark brown for our wooden furniture, a lighter brown option would be good. Baby did try to chew it a bit when teething but nothing came off in his mouth.
Used this to baby proof a coffee table that our toddler uses as a surface to pull herself up and move around the room. She grabs the edge to pull herself up, and so all of her weight goes through this edging. It has stayed totally stuck down since I fitted it around 2 months ago. Thankfully she’s not had a fall onto this, so can’t comment on how well it protects from injury, but seems fairly well cushioned. Aesthetically, it looks pretty good as well. Not going to win any design awards for what I’ve done to the table, but definitely doesn’t offend the eye. Can’t comment on ease of removal as I’ve not needed to take it off yet!
Love it..really soft and thick – feel it offers good protection. A generous amount is supplied – covered everything I wanted to and still have some left over for future bits and pieces I’ve not thought of. It’s super easy to apply and has held up for 2 days so far – no bits peeling off.
Not quite pure white which was what I was looking for – more a cream colour but looks good on both my white and wooden furniture. A few of the corner pieces were slightly scuffed but only noticeable close up. Would have been better if the foam had been pre-taped like the corners but it didn’t add on much time doing it myself – I put one strip along each of the inside sides & it really adheres well..seem to get plenty tape. 11 month old had a tug on it yesterday but it held tight & she seems to have lost interest..for now.
My daughter has just started to roll everywhere and almost crawling so decided to install some soft guardd to stop her hitting her head. This product works really well, is very easy to fix and very soft and a good thickness.
You get a large roll of guard which you cut to size, and then add double sided tape which is included. The corners have the tape already attached. The roll was more than enough to do all the furniture I was concerned about with plenty to spare!
As a bonus I received a soft door stop which I wasn’t expecting. Works really well and will stop my daughter getting her fingers trapped under the door and closing it!
I think the black colour works quite well on wood and doesn’t look as bad as I expected. I haven’t tried removing it yet but I don’t think it will leave marks and looks like it should be easy.
This is a really good product. We have it all around our coffee table and underneath our dining table. I am thinking about putting it round the top of the dining table now and think I need it on the handles of the kitchen cupboard too there was plenty left. It went on very easily, we were apprehensive doing it but had no need to be as it turned out. It is very durable and is pencil proof. We are so glad we had these on. I’m just hoping that they come off just as easily when we are finished with them. However I have to say that the door stop didn’t last long. But as I didn’t expect one I wasn’t bothered we did our own.
Very impressed with the quality of this product. I expected something that would not last long and look cheap.
Super surprised that weeks later with a toddling teething little one it still looks as good as new!! It has stuck in place and uses 3M adhesive strips.
The edges of the corners and the longer strips come together nicely and the colour merges in with my table. It actually looks like part of the furniture so doesn’t look like there’s a bunch of baby proofing around.
It is also super soft but not so soft that it disintegrates- so happy about this!
Only thing I found a little annoying was having to stick the tape to the strips and then attempting to stick to the table..was a little fiddly for me but not difficult.
Would recommend! Wish it was a tad cheaper but I’m happy with the end result as long as it continues to last.
We have a stone step in front of our fireplace that my 9 month old loves to pull up on. This adhered to the step very easily and is very squishy and soft if he lands on it. I also used it to cover the bottom edge and corners of a stool he likes to pull up on, and the exposed edge of our coffee table.
I used the corner pieces included and they stick wonderfully. However, I needed more for the corners of the stool and had to make my own from the remnants of the edge piece and it isn’t sticking as well. I suggest getting more corner pieces or cutting the remnant better if you need more corners.
I have been looking at this product for sometime now, I will be honest I do not have kids at home but the reason I wanted this is because I work in my desk for many hours and on top I am a gamer. So my arms are always at the end of the table and my table is really sharp at the end so it starts to hurt a lot after sometime, this was the reason I was looking at the product.
The installation was easy enough, and it does do its job. One this I could like is that this has way to much thickness, it could be batter if it was less but overall it gets the job done, also they give you a lot of it so you can use it in more places.
This really works and we were glad we bought it. Our granddaughter was staying with us for Christmas, and we have a large low wooden coffee table with sharp edges. The corner guard set worked well, and our granddaughter did fall against the coffee table quite a few times as she is only 18 months old and the set did stop injury. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was, when we took off the sponge strips in places it took off some of the wood stain on the wood. It doesn’t matter to us as my husband is a painter and decorator, and can soon fix that, but it might not be so easy for other people to correct.
