So many great positives for this product. Plug and play no messing around with drivers, the braided cable feels high quality, and functions fantastically. Bought one a few months ago since my laptop doesn’t have an ethernet port and I’m so happy with the product I bought a second for my switch. Would highly recommend this produc

I wanted the ethernet adapter to connect my Firestick 4K to my router. My concern was the fact that the Firestick is USB 2 and the adapter USB 3, I was worried that my internet speed may be reduced to a max of around 100Mps. Connecting through WIFI I was getting 150Mps. The adapter was very easy to install and worked immediately. I have suffered no loss of speed.
(obviously to connect to the router you need an ethernet cable and a Firestick USB cable adapter)

After installing the necessary driver, all you have to do is plug in the USB end to the computer and attach the network cable to the adapter.
Ideal for a computer that doesn’t have an existing network socket – or, like me, a faulty network socket.
Visually noticable speed improvement compared to WiFi.

Reader, pity me—I’ve just replaced my 2019 Windows 10 computer with its 2022 Windows 11 great-grandchild, so you can imagine the sort of day that I’ve had. I tore out so much hair trying and failing to add my new laptop to my Microsoft 365 account that in the end, I decided to surrender and buy a second subscription before I became completely bald. But hooking my new PC up to my router via a USB socket and this gizmo couldn’t have been easier. I just plugged it in and it worked. If only everything in IT were that simple! (For buyers with computers running very old versions of Windows, the adapter comes with a miniature CD-ROM loaded with the necessary drivers.)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wasn’t getting the download speeds my broadband provider promised. I was expecting 200Mbps and I was getting only 35-50Mbps. I spoke to their technical people who said I needed a wired Ethernet connection – problem was laptop has no Ethernet socket. Then I discovered USB to Ethernet connectors. The first one I tried made no difference and then I found it was a USB2.0 to Ethernet with a limit of 100Mbps – so no improvement. Finally I found that my new laptop has USB3.0 sockets so I bought the BENFEI Ethernet Adapter, USB 3.0 to RJ45 1000Mbps Gigabit LAN Adapter and plugged it in. Wow!! Now I’m getting download speeds around 220Mbps – Simple Perfection!

Just to confirm it is working with the Nintendo Switch as well. Nintendo’s download/upload speed is absolutely ridiculous in 2022 especially on WiFi. I have a 1Gb connection that is maxing out on my wired network. On WiFi it depends on the device however Nintendo’s 40Mbps download and 20Mbps upload speed was a joke. With this adapter speeds hugely improved and now I can achieve around 160Mbps download and 60Mbps upload speed.

I haven’t fully used it yet, but did test it out when it arrived. It worked with my Window 11 laptop that does not have an Ethernet port. I only had it plugged in for 5 minutes, but didn’t notice any lagging.

Unsure why the old Ethernet connection has been discontinued but this works fine. I live in a rural area and old cottage so WiFi connections can have problems and although not total dropout – this adapter have given extra options. BT Outreach very quickly responded (well done BT) and helped with a replacement hub so now have full options without any expensive WiFi booster kits to plug in elsewhere in the cottage. These improvements are stable but will be good when BT upgrades in the village are completed. Thanks.
