Great little multi tool, lots of features on it and I would recommend it, just be careful not to trap your fingers when closing it as the mechanism is very strong!
This is a great tool at a great price point – look its not up to the standard of a leatherman but it serves a purpose for a hiker, DIY’er, workshop tool etc. Its not going top take a ton of hammer for a hardened prepper making wood huts and skinning rabbits, but for 99% of people its a great tool. blades are sharp, build quality is good (pliers have a bit of movement) but for me i would rather spend 30 on this as i wont be breaking it.
Excellent tool with something for every eventuality but it is very heavy.
absolute quality. this company is fast catching the big boys.
I’ve had a couple of weeks to give this some abuse and I’m very impressed. It’s a BIG upgrade on the cheaper 21 in 1 Bibury. One thing that annoyed me slightly was the small, double ended screwdriver bits didn’t seem to be readily available and the selection provided didn’t suit what I needed. On trying standard bits, they almost disappeared into the bit holder so I acquired some small magnets (5 x 2mm) and glued 3 of them into the bit holder to raise the bit up by 6mm and hold it in. You can see the results in the photos. I can now use any standard hex bit (I have dozens of different ones around) with the added bonus of being firmly held in with the magnets.
Bought these to replace a identical branded leatherman that was stolen from me. For the price, they’re definitely a great option. The only negative I do have is that they are quite heavy compared to the branded leathermans.
It not bad tool , the price is up for debate
It looks like I got myself really practical good looking multi-tool. I really like the bit holder and the pliers and top of that the scissors work very well too.
Time will tell how durable this thing is but all good so far as everything works as it should for bargain price.
I use it a lot, it’s a handy multi tool with some handy features. I like that it locks cutting tools in place, this prevents some accidents that none locking tools are prone to cause. I’ve seen the Leatherman but in my view this is just as good. Great price and well worth the money, highly recommend.
With so many of these on market I did worry it would be a cheaper version of the leather man, but to be honest it’s good, easy to use and ideal to pop in a back or rucksack, sturdy knives and screwdrivers and the pliers are tight and grippy, yeah impressed with it.
Bought as a present for my OH. He is very impressed with the quality of this item and already has a number of other branded mutitools to compare it to. Versatile and feels safe to use. Great product for the price!
Got this for my hubby as a present, didn’t really know what I was looking for, so read the reviews and I was sold!!
Hubby is pleased with my choice too!! So win win 🙂
It’s a copy of a leatherman, I have the original. Don’t know how it will last but apart from that for 40 I think it’s hard to beat. The srew drive bit are of a universal type where as the leatherman uses unique bits what are expensive and hard to obtain. I now have two bilbury multi tools and both are simultaneously cheaper than most but more importantly built better.
I’m going to be honest, these are great value for money (buy on sale, mine cost 34.99!). I believe I got a pretty good unit (saw some reviews saying perhaps the quality control isn’t 100% and some units aren’t the best). However, having previously had a leatherman, I have to say it’s like comparing a Vauxhall and a Audi. Sure, the Vauxhall will do everything a Audi will, but it’s just… Not the same.
There are little things, the steel in the knives used in the Bibury isn’t the same quality as the steel used in the Wave (shouldn’t rust or anything like that, just won’t hold a sharp edge for as long as it isn’t as strong). Also, while I love that it had a more universal full sized bit holder, the quality of the thing was quite poor (not stainless and might not have even been steel, looked like alloy to me, would almost certainly crack if used for heavy tasks over time).
In the end I ended up giving the Bibury to my father in law as a birthday present and buying myself the Wave plus. I don’t regret buying the Bibury, and if you’re looking for a hiking survival tool, or if you are a hobbiest, or DIY guy or jack of all trades but master of none I do recommend this.
I went the leatherman in the end cause I need to rely on my tool to never let me down, and I’d love to one day give it to my little boy (if I don’t forget its in my bag at the airport again )
Bought to see how it faired in comparison to my other daily-use multi-tool, you know the one, that has finally just about given up the ghost. I wasn’t sure how it could be as good for the money, but after months of daily use…it just is. Very well made, the locking mech is perfect, and the CBN-type file is a real boon for sharpening other knives/edges. My only gripe…the supplied dbl-headed screwdriver bit is so insecure in the holder that I lost it within days. I modified a standard bit and loctite’d it in. Then, obviously, found the original! And the case won’t last as long as the tool…but I made a leather one to replace it, so it’s fine. Excellent value compared to *the other* brand.
This is a quality product, having previously owned a leatherman charge this tool costing about one quarter of the price is every bit as good. Couldnt recommend it highly enough
It’s a wave clone at half the price. Bit adapter is full width, scissors are excellent, everything else is good to very god. Diamond coatig on the file probably won’t last too long
However, like others have pointed out quality control can lack at times and design flaws prevent me from using it. The tool comes way to stiff and it’s impossible to open blades one handed. The saw is impossible to take out without using another tool as it has no thumb assist. The pliers work well at cutting and are sharp, but can get stuck as not spring loaded hence needed to hands to pry open.
With these issues in mind it was unsuitable for my usage so was returned however for the price (I wouldn’t pay more than 35) it’ll be adequate for most.
