A gift for us that kept the whole family busy for days, age 8 to 50. Beautifully designed (with the list and numbering system, and no cheat sheet to tempt you!)
Have bought this since for many friends. A quirky, greatly appreciated gift for anyone with any knowledge of music / bands.
Overrall the puzzel was great fun, it had the booklet, the puzzel was high quality and had a nice design but when I finished it I noticed one piece was missing and I looked everywhere since I thought I had dropped it somehow, then came to the conclusion that they had just forgotten it, if I do find it I will change my review
Were tension levels running high while making this? Absolutely but it was totally worth it. 1000 pieces is always a tough job when you’re working collaboratively but once we got a system going, we smashed through it.
My only negative is that we don’t have tons of space so had to do the puzzle and take it apart on the same day. By the time we finished putting it together we were so tired that we barely had stamina left to figure out the movies. Also would be good if there were two sheets – one with the code and list and then one with the colour image. Flipping between the two sides made it a bit cumbersome because it was hard to see the design on the puzzle to figure out the movies, so we needed to reference the sheet.
All in all, this was an awesome idea and was executed really well. I would deffo buy another one of these.
This is a great puzzle. Once you have finished the puzzle you can then guess the answers to the clues and find out which movie is which. It would be a great gift. Lots of fun to complete as a family / group of friends over a few weeks.
Well produced 1000 piece jigsaw. Cartoony style with 101 books depicted In the scene. You just have to guess them for added entertainment. The box is solid and the jigsaw pieces are bagged inside with a large folded copy of the picture enclosed (no jigsaw should be produced without one of these now). The thickness of the cardboard pieces is fine and the printing is of a very high and colourful standard. All in all just what I expect from a modern, well produced jigsaw nowadays and at a good price. Looking forward to completing it and hopefully wanting to buy the other two jigsaws in the series so far. Well done Big potato Games and good price Amazon.
Family really enjoyed making the library jigsaw and naming the books so had to order another one from the series to make together. So well done and thought out with all the clues to the names of the books
I have ordered all three of the big potato games, boardgames this one is great quality and clear but is however missing the paper that tells you where are the clues for the 101 books. Also when contacting the seller I had to go through their website(us one not uk due to brexit) whereby I had to sign up for marketing emails to request a replacement. This would probably make me think twice before ordering another one of their games or jigsaws
Brilliant puzzle. High quality pieces for a very good price. I liked that no plastic was used in the packaging and when it was complete, it was a lot fun trying to solve all the books. Very much worth the price
Bought as a christmas present for my fiance. Arrived on time, brand new in sealed box. The idea of it is also fantastic and think it will get a good laugh
I’ve bought this as a gift so I’m not sure how it looks, feels and what knot! But from the front cover it looks pretty good and I can’t wait to help the recipient complete it!
I love this line of puzzles, so much fun to complete! Even my son who hates puzzles got involved. Sturdy pieces too and I like guessing the books from the pictures! I have the movies one too which was my favourite. Will be purchasing the festival one next!
The only problem is, I wish there were more of these puzzles and will be sad when I’ve completed the set!
Really awesome puzzle, tiny pieces but really good quality build and print. My partner spent hours making it, giving me the freedom to do my own thing, bonus. Cool that there’s no plastic packaging too.
Definitely want to buy the movies one to get more free time from my partner haha. Worth it.
Myself and my daughter really enjoyed doing this puzzle. We was guessing who the bands from the very start.
We guessed about 70 of the bands, then when we looked up the answers I gave my daughter a clue and she guessed a few more.
We did our answers in a separate piece of paper so we could pass the puzzle around.
Will definitely be be buying the movie one.
Great puzzle for music fans. A lot of thought has gone into the design of it and there’s the extra element of naming the artists once you’ve completed the puzzle. Unfortunately, I was missing a piece (as sometimes happens with jigsaws) but I contacted Big Potato and they resolved this issue with great customer service. I’d definitely recommend for any music fan. Can’t wait to start the movie one next!
Loved it! It took me a while to complete which I like. It was a hard puzzle and it was even harder to find all the movies! But I got there in the end. I would very much recommend if you like a challenge and if you like movies! I did have to kick myself a few times though when I eventually found them all!
Great idea for a jigsaw! The pictures and the quality are great. I do love doing a jigsaw but it’s always a bit sad having to take it apart and put it back in the box once finished. What is excellent about this is once you’ve finished the puzzle, you are only half way there! Some of the riddles are definitely more obscure and harder than others but it’s great fun! As a family of both jigsaw and movie lovers we certainly got our money worth! I highly recommend.
This was a really entertaining puzzle! There’s so many details on it it makes it challenging but also really fun. It’s also great that it doesn’t end when you put the last piece in when you have to guess the bands. Also super helpful on the website where you can reveal band names one by one and not spoil the game. Highly recommend!
Really good quality jigsaw, with an added bonus of the working out all the film references (some easier than others). Some pieces were stuck together in the box, but have not fallen apart when separating them.
The jigsaw itself is much more taxing than I expected, which I am putting down to combination of being out of practice and many similar colours appearing in lots of places in the picture so the usual dividing by colour may not be the best approach. Definitely considering purchasing the ‘Day at the Festival’ as a gift.
Very considerate plastic free packaging.
I’ve put many puzzles together in my time and Night at the Movies was a perfect balance between taxing and enjoyable. It gave my wife and I an opportunity to turn off the tv and spend some quality time together. Now that we’ve completed the puzzle a scrap of paper sits beside it on the dining room table, waiting for the movie clues to be solved. Really good!
I loved the idea of a puzzle of movie riddles, but was pleased with the bonus of a brilliant checklist and guide to all 101 illustrations! amazing! I got this for a family, and I think the kids will be as interested in figuring out the picture as the adults tackling the puzzle challenge. I was delighted, and relieved, to find that the packaging was Plastic Free! My photo doesn’t do it justice, but gives you an idea how cute the checklist is. I already have another family in mind for this puzzle.
