The pop up toy arrived packed neatly in the original box.
The quality of the material is average but it still survived my toddler playing with it.
The idea of the game is to insert the swords in to the slots in the egg, and try not to make the duck pop up. The duck pops out well.
At the back of the egg there a hole made on purpose as the egg has possibility to be a piggy bank.
I’d say this is a easy game from ages 3 – 10. It’s a great idea for a birthday gift.
I am more than happy to recommend.

It did feel too light and a bit cheap when it came out of the box however it turned out to be a fun game and kids liked it that’s all what you want really. With some use, it grows on you. It’s light weight because the plastic is of good quality. The game itself is absorbing and suitable for children of different ages. It felt a bit pricey however the price has gone down a bit which is welcomed. The colours are nice and catchy. You also get enough confidence to give this as a a gift and it is a good gift.

Overall a good product and highly recommended!

This is a nice, interesting game for kids. It’s very easy to play too. Each player has their own sword and inserts it into the base. Once the dino pops out, game over. The dino pops out well. However, the quality seems a bit flimsy and is a bit overpriced

This is a different take on the traditional “Pop up Pirate” game, and features a dinosaur. When I first unpacked it, I have to admit that I thought the swords and egg felt a little bit flimsy and I didn’t think that it would survive much play, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The idea of the game is to insert the swords in to the slots in the egg, and try not to make the dinosaur pop up – Children love the suspense and anticipation of the game, and it is a lot of fun. The game develops coordination and motor skills, and introduces an idea of cause and effect. I did find that a couple of the swords needed to be placed very firmly in the slots to register, but in all honesty my kids tend to be a little heavy handed with this type of game anyway, so this isn’t too much of an issue. The dinosaur pops up very perkily, which is fun! Overall, a good game and definitely a nice change from board games.

I’ve always enjoyed board games, so when I saw this dinosaur-themed one, I couldn’t resist. My kids (aged 5 and 7) and I have spent many afternoons playing together. The pop-up action keeps them engaged, and the colourful board sparks their imagination. Though on the expensive side, I think it’s worth it for the bonding moments it creates. The only downside: it can be sturdier. Tip: play on a flat surface to avoid any mishaps. Overall, a fun addition to our collection!

The kids love playing this game. it only ever pops up when a sword is put to either side of the dino. The pop-up dinosaur toy is suitable for 2-4 players. I found it really reinforced the idea of taking turns. The plastic is not solid so it is not particularly sturdy. Overall, Good game for kids and will be a great gift for children of all ages.

The pop up game was good fun. It was great to play as a team or with another person. It had different coloured swords. The children were excited to see the dragon pop up every time they put the sword in the wrong place. It was very lightweight and good value for money.

This game is perfect for children ages 3 and up, and it provides hours of fun for the whole family.
The game is easy to set up, and the instructions are simple and straightforward. It’s a classic action board game that requires players to be quick with their reactions.

The pieces make it easy for younger children to play, and the bright colours and fun design keep them engaged and excited. The game is also great for developing hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and problem-solving skills.

One of the things I love about this game is that it’s perfect for both individual play and group play. My kids enjoy playing it together.

The quality of the game is excellent, and the pieces are durable enough to withstand the wear and tear of frequent use. The game is also compact and easy to store, making it a great option for taking on trips or parties.

Overall, a good experience — simple to play and the kids will love it!

My 3-year-old autistic kid will utilize this game as part of his speech therapy practice, so I purchased it.
The suspense in this game makes it popular among kids. I appreciate how it improves hand-eye coordination, fine motor abilities, and willingness to participate in practically any speech therapy activity.
It can be used as a money bank and a game, however, in practise, the game wouldn’t work with coins inside. Practically speaking, I believe it’s a fantastic location to keep the swords while you’re not playing the game. The dinosaur flies fairly high. Swords fit in effortlessly and are well-made. includes some stickers that you apply yourself.

Initially out of the box, this felt quite cheap. It doesn’t feel like the most robust plastic and is very lightweight. So I didn’t hold out much hope for it to be honest. However, it’s stood up to quite a few games (so far) with the grandchildren (age 11, 9 & 4) which they’ve enjoyed a lot, and no sign of it wearing out yet. I like games like this as they really can be played by any age together, from adult all the way down to 2 or 3 years old. I wasn’t convinced the dinosaur popping out would be as random as claimed, but it really is. It can also be used as a money box but honestly, I think it’s a useless addition. Certainly my grandchildren weren’t interested in using it this way.

I got this game for the family and unsurprisingly it’s been a big hit! While this may not be some downtime or a strategic board game, this straightforward roulette-style toy means everyone can have great fun without much fuss.

The toy itself admittedly markets to very young children but that doesn’t mean adults can’t have fun too! Besides the babyish design, the game works like many other ‘roulette’ games where everyone has their turn while all watch and anticipate a sudden collapse- think of Jenga or candy challenges where there’s inevitably a final winner or survivor.

The toy works simply, just take out a sword and go around dreading the moment someone will make the dino pop. The swords come in colour coded meaning each person has their own set, although you could further distribute those sets if you had more players. Just pop a sword in and hope you don’t set the dino off into the air! To be fair, the dinosaur could do with more action or leap as it pops up off the barrel rather than launching into the air.

Cheap version of the well known similar one that has pirates who pop out of the barrel, same idea and concept but with dinosaurs
Smaller than I had expected but great fun for the kids

Nice and large in size and a good quality plastic build. This is a classic revamped style toy from my childhood which I’m glad to see is still around. The manufacturer has a selection of different themes from dinosaur to duck and basically you take it in turn pulling out the little sticks and at a random point it will then make the dinosaur pop up. When this happens that perosn loses. Easy to wipe down and clean when required and arrived smartly packaged. I would buy this again 🙂

My kids is really happy and having fun with this game. It is for 2-4 players, each players have their own different colour sword. They all need taking turns to put sword in the hole. The dinosaur on the middle of the barrel need to press in and twist then when sword stab in the hole. The dinosaur will pop up, game over. It makes my kids laugh. Very lightweight and good price. What a fun game.

The same idea as the pop up pirate game, this one works just as well.

It’s a sturdy toy and the kids have a lot of fun with it.

    I think it’s priced right.

A nice game for young children that is pretty much the same as the old pop up pirates game of a few years ago. You fix the dinosaur and take it in turns to insert the little swords until someone releases the mechanism and the dinosaur pops out.
The mechanism works well and it can be played by 4 players as there are 4 different coloured swords.
It made of plastic but feels very strong. A good games for all ages.

I ordered this game for a dual purpose. 1 for my toddlers to play with at home and 2. To use in my speech therapy practice. Based on the popular game, pop up pirate, this has always been a favourite in my therapy room. It’s nice to have a variation from the pirate.

Children love this game because of the suspense. I love the hand eye coordination, fine motor skills and that it encourages my patients to participate in almost any speech therapy activity.

It’s a cute idea to have this as a money bank in addition to a game but in reality, the game wouldn’t be possible when it’s filled with coins more practically, I think it’s an amazing place to store the swords when not playing the game. I often find that I need to purchase little containers to keep bits of games- this can all be sorted together (In itself)

Not only is this a great little pop up game for youngsters, this particular game can also be used as a money box.

The game shaped barrel is a decent size and features a little duck character that sits on top and a range of plastic swords in 4 different colours.

Gameplay is simple as players take turns to push a sword into the barrel while trying to avoid ‘popping’ out the little duck. It can be played by 2-4 players and it’s easy enough for youngsters to play without a adult.

As a rather quirky extra feature, there’s a money box slot at the back of the barrel, where youngsters can store their pennies. There’s a twist cap at the base for easily removing any savings when needed.

My one grip with this game is the price, which at the time of ordering was an eye- watering 16.99. However, there’s currently a generous money off voucher offered, which makes the game more attractive price wise.

Overall, it’s a nice, colourful, fun little game that youngsters will love. If you can order it for less than a tenner, then it’s definitely worth considering.

The game is very light weight and consists of a barrel shape with a button that gets depressed down when the duck is added then the game starts where each player will add the knives into the barrel and the aim is to use all you knives without the duck flying out as the depressed button has been triggered by one of the knives, the game also doubles up as a money bank so can add coins via the sideway slit at the top end of the barrel and then if the money needs to come out there is a opening and closing on the bottom. I can see this game being one that could be taken on holiday, used at Christmas or just cause the kids feel like it or have friends round. I’m not sure how great it is at being a money box but I can see how they thought the game could be used for more than the one thing. I’d say this is a easy game from ages 3 – 10 after that I’m sure the kids are going to be into different things as this would be too easy based on my lot. I’ve gone to 4 stars but if there was a option it would be 3.5 *

4.0 out of 5 stars A easy game!
